I was "that customer" that came in just a few minutes before closing time, but that didn't stop Brianna from not only helping me but also going above and beyond to help me with my project. I'm so grateful for her help and her kindness! Absolutely will be back for all my future painting needs. read more

Everything went fantastic my first time visiting the store. I was greeted by Alan who super knowledgeable and helped guide me through the process recommending the higher quality of paints and help me find some spackle. He could not have been more professional or knowledgeable so glad I went here. Thank you Alan for everything. read more

After 2.5 years in our "new" (to us) house, we are finally painting the exterior! The prior owners had it painted a taupe-y pink-y grey with lime green trim. Not a good color combination for a mid-century ranch home with a Spanish tile roof; actually, not a good color combination for any home! I wanted something that looked different than the other similar houses in the neighborhood, but would stand out from the others without being an eyesore (we don't have CC&R's, but we do have a Neighborhood Association that keeps a close watch on paint colors, additions and modifications to original home plans, etc.) So we hired a painting contractor who uses Sherwin-Williams paint, and we needed to choose house colors. We are not home decorators, but we started out by driving around and looking at homes like ours to find colors and color combinations we liked. It was confusing. I visited the Sherwin-Williams website, used their color tools and ended up even more confused! So this past weekend we went to the Sherwin-Williams store to look at paint swatches. O.M.G.! I never knew how many shades of each color are available! It was overwhelming! The employees suggested that we hire one of their color consultants to help us narrow down the possibilities and give us color tips. Color Consultant Leti came to our house yesterday, and after about an hour or so, we had two sets of pleasing house color combinations! She was awesome and a great help! Today, I went back to the store to get paint samples for our proposed colors. Luis got all the samples together, packed them in a box, and even carried them out to my car! Robert, the store manager was very helpful in the process of getting our appointment set with Leti. He deserves credit for a well-run store with employees who put customer service first! P.S. I would love to have the job of naming the thousands of colors. Whoever has that job now is extremely creative and oftentimes very accurate! read more

Best customer service experience ever! Brian is amazing and helped us with paint for our whole house. We moved out of PB and still make the drive back in to visit Brian if we need any paint or painting supplies. Thanks, Brian! read more

Wow is all I can say! Robert used to be our go-to guy for all of our painting and staining projects. He retired (I'm jealous) and I was worried that I wouldn't find someone with the expertise to help with some of our complex questions. This week we had a weld break and so we had to do some patching and sealing. Mike was knowledgeable and over-the-top helpful! I am grateful to him and happy that they are in our neighborhood! read more

Dena and Darrel, I think that's his name. The store manager are the two that helped me....the couple times I've been there! Especially coming in trying to do a project and not really knowing what you are looking for. Or the best paint to do the job. Anyhow I would give them 5 stars but the prices are a bit expensive. But it's convenient from where I work and the service is 10x better then Home Depot. The people here are super helpful! Great customer service and has a lot of knowledge on the products! Which is so important! Anyways keep up the good work! I definitely will be coming back! read more

Sherwin-Williams Paint Store - Front of the store - Paint Stores Near Me - San Diego, California

Special thanks to Ken who assisted me at Sherwin Williams. I had a request that was a little complicated and he took the challenge on and made it easy. Sherwin Williams is lucky to have Ken on board. I highly recommend purchasing paint/supplies at this store. read more

As long as Brian is manager here, I'll make the trip to this store from almost anywhere in San Diego. As an amateur painter, the time, patience, and expertise is well appreciated at this location. There can sometimes be a wait because the employees spend time making sure each customer gets exactly what they need, but when it's your turn you will appreciate it! read more

I came into the store today knowing absolutely nothing about paint and I had to match 2 colors from old paint cans I found in my apartment. I wasn't sure if it was possible or what I was doing. Dylan assured me and made everything perfect. He was able to match the colors I needed and teach me everything I needed to know about my project. Thank you Dylan for your excellent service on Super Bowl Sunday!!! read more

Brian, the store manager, provided the most helpful customer service I have ever experienced. I needed a satin polyurethane finish. I stopped at the Garnet store to pick up 2 gallons of it and they had none. I needed it for the painters the very next day. Brian solved my problem and I am ever so grateful and now a loyal Garnet street Sherwin-Williams fan. Even before this near miss, I had been impressed with the welcoming attitude with which Brian greets all his customers. Yes its a store, but with a friendly, helpful staff. Thanks Brian! read more

Great customer service. Brian was very knowledgeable, quick and friendly. Great hospitality.

Brian provided the best customer service I have received this year, above and beyond what I expected. A tenant asked for a very specific paint. Brian made it so easy for me by accepting an email with the specs, and it was ready for me within an hour. When I arrived, Brian asked a series of questions, and when I was done I had everything I needed to complete the work, and for a MUCH better price than I expected. I cannot recommend Brian and this specific Sherwin Williams location more. This is where I will be shopping for all my painting supplies from here on. read more

Who knew buying paint could be such a pleasant experience? I forgot his name but he had just transferred from Texas, helped us out through the whole process and answered any and all questions we had! Normally I don't write yelp reviews but this guy was just such a genuinely nice and helpful employee I felt I had to. Keep up the great work! read more

Best paint store. Brian had the most impeccable customer service. He was so knowledgeable and beyond helpful when my mother and I were choosing a paint color. He listened and understood what we were looking for and educated us for the next time I would have to pick out paint. It was one of the best experiences in that store (this store location has always been my favorite). Brian truly is a great employee who seems passionate about his job and really cares about the customers. He left a lasting impression and I will always recommend this location! read more

What terrible customer service and you just took over Frazee. Guy here barely would help too busy.

I have been a painter for almost 20 years and a contractor for 8. This is, hands down the best paint store I have been to. Impeccable customer service. The people that work at this location will go the distance to make you happy. There is hardly ever any wait time and are excellent at color matches I would recommend this store for all your painting needs. read more

I am so sorry that someone found this store unhelpful, because I had the best service EVER in a paint store, and not on just one occasion. I am renovating an old house in PB, so have been going in almost once a week for paint. The manager, Ryan is super knowledgeable and friendly, and so are Mike, Shannon, Chad and Raphael. One thing I love is that it is a small store, not like a Home Depot, so I get help faster and it's people who know their stuff! The quality of the paint is outstanding. There is a reason it costs a little more; it's BETTER paint! How many people at Home Depot have carried your paints to your car? These guys go out of their way to be helpful. Try to find their sales, and buy it up! read more

Brian delivered about the highest level of service i could have hoped for and made sure I got the best price possible. A real asset to this location. I'll be back when I have paint needs in the future. read more

Would you believe I have been shopping at Sprouts for years and did not notice Sherwin Willians Paint Store that is located adjacent to Sprouts's parking lot I purchased some paint and Brian, the manager was more than helpful aiming to please and helped me get the correct color for my bathroom. I also learned that washing the walls before we painted helped in paint coverage. For a added bonus they have coffee for customers. Wonderful customer service. I will be back again when I need more paint. Thanks. read more

This is a great shop. I'm a local pastor doing some work on the church and these guys really hooked us up with some great pricing. Plus I've been using Sherwin-Williams paint for years, so much better than any other paint I've used, definitely worth the price! And the guys working there are polite, professional, and just cool guys. This store definitely has our business anytime we need anything paint related. read more

Their employees are awesome! Both Dena and Darrel (not sure if I spelled those right) were very helpful in finding the right supplies and doing difficult paint and stain matches. Thanks to you both! read more

Kyle is the man. Very helpful and friendly. Obviously knows what he is talking about, and enjoys his work. First time visit, but I will be back. read more

Do not use this location. Waste of time and money. Ordered 4 color sample quarts using Sherwin-Williams chips with exact brand color and code. The samples were the furthest from my samples that I have gotten in decades of buying paint. When I ordered the quarts, the guy on the phone told me they closed at 4:30 then corrected himself when i said I could only make it in by 5:30 so their location won't work for me--oh yeah we close at 6, he remembers, you can pick them up at 5:30. I call them en route to ask for the nearest cross-street, and the guy acts like I'm a fool for asking, then gives me an answer as if I know stores in the neighborhood (which I do not), then tells me a cross-street 5 blocks away, not the cross-street near the store, and so I park and walk all the way there, and have to lug the paint back. I get there and two guys are sitting around shooting the breeze in a side office, zero customers. Nice job to have. What a scam. To top it off the paint is not flat as I'd wanted (he tells me later, that's all we give in samples. Why didn't he point that out when I ordered it?) And to top it all off, they made a BIG deal that I was not the contractor "himself" and said they needed the contractor's name. So many people without jobs and these guys work at a specialty paint store? I'd rather go to Home Depot. read more
