We brought in a sample of the stain we wanted to match with a piece of the wood we would be using…read more Left is there for them to match- asked about mixing stain and were told yes. We went to pick up the stain, and they had just pulled a can from the shelf and said this matches. Additionally, they used paint stick to show the stain never really putting it on the piece of wood we brought. The person said if we have something that matches, we don't custom mix. The wood they put it on was not what we provided, and they never tried to match the sample. Then he said I can put it on the wood you brought to show you the match- right paint it on and we just say okay.... NOT!!! Poor customer service. Called another Sherwin Williams store in Bluffton and they will mix the stain to match.

While the store manager was on the phone checking to see if another store carried the old formula, I was having a private conversation with my husband. Little did I know the store manager was listening to my private conversation and felt I was looking at something on my cell about the paint! He immediately took offense, interrupted us and said he would "prove to us that he knew what he was talking about and that he had 13 yrs experience ". I was confused and said you don't have to prove anything and that I didn't know what he was talking about. He rudely said "well, you were on your phone on the Sherwin Williams website". I showed him my cell and said I WAS ON THE PAPA MURPHYS website!! He STILL insisted on printing something for "proof" of something we had no concern about Terrible customer service! And this from the guy who proudly told his name and that he was the store manager! Think twice before you think about using this particular store! Or just don't be with in earshot of Marcus so he can't eavesdrop and assume your conversation is about him!

When I walked in the door, Nicole greeted my mother and I with a smile and a lovely greeting which made the visit even better because it's those little things that leave a large impression on the way I spend my time, energy and money. Nicole made me feel welcomed and like she was interested in my business. I told her about an old wooden table I had used in my classroom and now school office spaces that someone had painted orange a long time ago. The table is highly functional and I didn't care about the color because it was in excellent condition and it was cheap. But now, that old orange paint leaves pieces of itself every time I move the table to another school, school district, classroom or storage unit and today I have had enough...Well, at least the other day on day I visited Sherwin-Williams. Nicole asked me what I was doing and made a couple of recommendations and suggestions. She knew exactly what I would need in order to get the best out of the project. She went out to get the color I wanted and when it was time to ring my purchase, she realized I did not have an account. She quickly entered my information and BINGO!!!! Went here to get some miscellaneous parts for repairs including matching a big fat short screw from…read morea folding desk that came with some hardware missing. I went on a Monday, but on Memorial Day, so maybe not a normal Monday schedule. The lady here was very helpful at getting as close a match to the thread guage as possible. Ace is great because of being able to get all kinds of things and also 40¢ things that you would have to special order for pick up and wait 3+ weeks until they get here. Also at competent people working for things like knowing where things are and matching paint. This Ace is more of a practical bare bones Ace. No outdoor area and not much of a garden section. Just basics and hardware with minimal gag gifts and snacks. Anyway, I was able to get everything I needed for a bunch of repairs in about 20 minutes and everything was clean and organized and the lady working here knew where everything was so it was easy to get things fast.
