They have over 100 stores in the U.S. according to one of the employees. The employees were all helpful and friendly, and quick to offer assistance. They seem to have done a nice paint match for my wallpaper, but that's to be determined once the trim is painted. The female sales rep explained how the high gloss paint will reflect light and perhaps cause it to look a smidge lighter in color. Then she attempted to charge me for two gallons of Benjamin Moore high gloss paint @ approximately $130.00 total when I was only purchasing 2 quarts of paint for my guest bathroom trim. I was a great customer of the former business. I hope this type of mistake won't happen again.

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of using Parkside Painters for a painting project in my home, and they did an excellent, thorough and thoughtful job. I was impressed at their mixer's ability to match a challenging, deep purple-brown in my master bedroom and master bath that had been on the wall about 8 years, as well as an historic red that had been in our foyer for 2 years. So we needed the faded versions, not the originals. Their matches were perfect, so I asked for their paint company contact, since I have small touch-ups around the house that they would be great for, and they recommended I contact Spectrum. So glad I did. If you need more expertise than the 20-something kid in the big box store has to offer or recommend paint solutions, go to Spectrum. They handle Benjamin Moore Paints. They are friendly, highly knowledgeable and on the ball. Go.

There were two clerks, a female and male. I recognized the female's voice from an earlier phone call. Clearly the woman was the front/greet person and she never said a word to me. I find it odd that after waiting five minutes she referred to me in the third person when she asked, Ashley, her male colleague if he wanted to assist me. He said he would be with me shortly as he was mixing up a batch of paints. Ashley took my order and patiently explained my options. If my experience was based soley on Ashley, it would be five stars. He was able to multi-task, stay cordial, and promptly get my order prepared. At home my Duration paint matched perfectly even after a few years since the last coat. If you have an affiliation with a professional painting service there is a possible discount.

Watching me intensely and sending a store directly to me.. where he's standing less than 2 inches from me and gets right in my face. It was so blatant he didn't even say may I help you? He said what are you looking for? all while holding his radio and taking orders from his masters. The whole experience is pretty outrageous. Pretty gross situation. I totally hate coming to the store. The store has a history of mistreating certain Customers. But I will be putting a word out this time.. how can they improve? The first step would be if they are going to profile people they should learn the types of things that can help identify someone who has criminal intentions versus a customer looking for marine epoxy. Which is going on colour is an ignorant and ineffective way to cut down on store crime. Mis perceiving people ethnicity is also a problem and there could be legal issues when it comes to the heavy-handed nature of their profiling.

There is no other place I would recommend if you chose to paint outside the lines (see what I did there?) and go anywhere other than Sherwin-Williams Paint Store, especially this particular one. When I walked in the door, Nicole greeted my mother and I with a smile and a lovely greeting which made the visit even better because it's those little things that leave a large impression on the way I spend my time, energy and money. Nicole made me feel welcomed and like she was interested in my business. I told her about an old wooden table I had used in my classroom and now school office spaces that someone had painted orange a long time ago. The table is highly functional and I didn't care about the color because it was in excellent condition and it was cheap. But now, that old orange paint leaves pieces of itself every time I move the table to another school, school district, classroom or storage unit and today I have had enough...Well, at least the other day on day I visited Sherwin-Williams. Nicole asked me what I was doing and made a couple of recommendations and suggestions. She knew exactly what I would need in order to get the best out of the project. She went out to get the color I wanted and when it was time to ring my purchase, she realized I did not have an account. She quickly entered my information and BINGO!!!!
