Professional customer service, clean and organized store with every visit. The paint is a little pricey.

I called ahead paint for my 80 year old father to pay and pickup while I was taking care of my mom. When my father arrived 15 minutes later the price went up and they sold his gallons instead of 5 gallon buckets also added other stuff to the order I didn't ask for. I specially told the manager by phone I was sending my dad to pickup and pay. Instead they scammed him and out crap on the order he didn't need. When I called the manager to ask why they did this she yelled at me and said "they are already mixed the color" and I can't change anything. What a scam!!! Now I need to get an attorney. She should have apologized to me me for changing my order without my permission, instead she yelled at me. They take advantage that an old man showed up to pay to meet their sales goals. What a scam!!! They charged items not authorized!! I had to escalate to district manager read more

Employees are always helpful and nice. Never have issues picking up paint here. They help bring out the paint to my car too.

Went in to purchase 3 gallons. I needed a color match. I was told it would take 30 min to do. The employee went to lunch and 45 mins later I was told the only have 1 gallon and the next product was double the price. I'm so displeased on how they run that store read more

Great Service by the whole team! Arnold the store manager helped me and did a fantastic job. Tucker the Assistant provided me with tools to make it easier to select colors. Jose and Tayveon greeted me at the door and spoke to me for a couple minutes about how choosing the best roller and brush is important for each project! The store gets 4 stars. However, Sahil went above and beyond. I needed a fair bit of paint (19 gal). Unfortunately there are supply issues and the store was out of exterior paint (regardless of quality/name). He called around and set up the order for me, all I had to do was pick it up from the Berkeley store. read more

I've been to Lowe's, Kelly Moore, Benjamin Moore (why so many Moore's?), Home Depot, and Ace. No one was able to actually walk me through what items I did and didn't need. No one was willing to actually talk to me about cool vs. warm, or what finishes would be reasonable and aesthetically pleasing for my use case. Enter Sherwin Williams and Sahil, the store manager I believe at the Pinole location. He spent 20 minutes chatting to me and was helpful and informative the whole time. I ended up with exactly what I needed and nothing I didn't. My project turned out perfect and he hooked me up with a homeowner account and discount t to boot!! It doesn't matter if I'm painting a house or a flower pot for my next project, I'll be coming to the Pinole Sherwin Williams for my paint needs. Thank you for your help, Sahil! read more

Came here after work and after sitting in traffic for nearly 25 mins, which would normally take me half that made it all worth it when David provided great customer service. I had an hour before closing so I felt the need to rush in and out, but I didn't get that pressure from David. He normally works in the SF store, so I was lucky to catch him on a Tuesday night. When I walk into a store and don't really have a clue, it's really nice to know that the person behind the counter knows what he's doing. I was able to get recommendations, he explained to me the difference between the paints, what sheen would work well for my bathroom and even how to make the most for the money I was spending. I swear, when you get great customer service, it just makes the experience so much more enjoyable. I came out of the store more knowledgable about paints! I went to home depo and they gave me my paint in the wrong finish and always mess my paint up so I thought I'd finally give this place a shot. I literally live 3 mins away I don't know why I didn't come here sooner. This amazing lady (I don't know her name) explained to me what the differences are in the different paints, and which paint would work best for the project I'm doing. She also offered me different price points and even suggested something I didn't even think of that worked perfectly. I really felt like I was talking to a professional and someone who genuinely cares about the outcome of my project. Have been to this paint store 3 times attempting to buy miss tint paints. Have been told by 3 different people at 3 different times, "we just sold all the miss tints to someone". I called corporate headquarters and complained. Customer service said he would forward my complaint to the district manager. Waiting for an answer. If you don't want to sell paint at a discount, say so. Don't insult people's intelligence with lameness. read more

We have shopped at this Sherwin Williams location for the last three years and have left 100% satisfied every time! Gerald, the Assistant Manager, knows everything there is to know about paint and painting, has the best attitude of anyone in retail, and makes us feel like we are VIP customers even when we are only in to buy a drop cloth or a 4-pack of roller covers. Seriously, you will be amazed at how much you can enjoy something as basic as buying paint! On my most recent visit, I worked with Eric who was able to match my color (purchased from a competitor) perfectly. Great service with a smile! read more

If only I could give a zero! Going to this store was the most unpleasant experience. The only fellow who worked there totally ignored me. He took another customer who came AFTER me and proceeded to help him taking forever and speaking Spanish. Needless to say, when I brought to his attention that I had come before this other guy- he started to argue with me in a rude way. I stormed out of the store, leaving what I wanted to purchase on the counter. SIR.... There are tons of other paint stores in the area. This particular branch lost the opportunity to get a BIG job. We've gotten paint at this Sherwin-Williams before and we liked it because it's usually not very busy. Today we tried to get paint to repaint our house, but were unable to get ANY paint. First, we wanted the Emerald level base. They only had 1 single gallon and 4 on order (we needed at least 8.) One level down was Duration so we tried to get that, but they didn't have that in 1 or 5 gallons. They then tried to sell us on the next level down. For the trim, they didn't have the base we needed, so they said it would make a different color, so we left with ZERO gallons of paint. Waste of time. read more

This was a very pleasant experience! I called ahead to have (Sue) get my paint ready for me to pickup so I could avoid the wait. She mentioned on the phone it would be about 20 minutes to have ready. I rarely do reviews and we have yet to apply the paint(our painting contractor raves about S-W paint quality and sent us to our local S-W paint store),but i have to comment that the level of customer service at this location is outstanding! My husband and I went in today for the first time to get some paint for our living room. We walked in and looked around and and no one in sight. We went to select a paint color which took about 10 minutes. Once we decided on the colors we wanted we walked towards the back and a young man walked in and helped us. He took our order and helped us with our selections. We were out of there in 20 minutes. We will definitely be back for our painting needs. I am a firm believer if you need paint get it from a place that specializes is paint and not from a place like Home Depot. Also we had a coupon. The paint is great; the store -- not so much. This location is close to my house, so it's convenient. However, the store is small and they don't carry a lot of paint, so they often don't have what you need. I called to order 1 gallon of stain to finish my pergola tonight; it was supposed to be in the store for pick up today. So, I call and the stain isn't there -- they have no explanation. Such a frustrating experience - to finish my project, I have to re-jigger my entire evening and either go to Berkeley or Pleasant Hill to get the stain. WTF. My entire house is painted with Sherwin-Williams, including the exterior that was just painted 6 weeks ago. SW paint is great; they can exact color match and you can touch up without it showing as a patch of new paint. However, this experience is exactly why people who aren't fussy about paint quality buy paint at Home Depot or Lowe's; product isn't nearly as good, but it's easily obtainable. read more

This store is really well kept. The customer service is up to par and the selection of products are decent. The only reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because I find the prices to be a little steep. If you need supplies don't let the prices stop you from coming in. read more
