Linsy Painting & Decorating is not professional painting. I have a 3 story house. I wanted them to paint the same color. Some of the trims are rotten. I wanted to fix it. The first day in the morning, I watched them most of the time. I told the worker to cut the rotten trims and put in the new ones. Then I went inside of my house. When they left, I walked around my house. I wonder if he cut the rotten trims that need to be fixed, but he didn't cut the rotten wood. He just put compound over the wood. I touched the old wood. It was rotten. I told the worker the next day that he needs to do it right. And some rotten trims on the 2 story, he didn't want to do it. So Mr. Linsy told me to climb on the ladder on the second story. My husband asked me why I was up there. I wanted them to fix my house right, so when Mr. Linsy told me to climb up there. I was afraid but I did climb up to show them the rotten trims. After that Mr. Linsy told his worker to remove and put the new wood. And I kept complaining about the rotten wood that needed to be fixed. They painted very well in the first story. It was shining. The second story was OK on the left side. But the third story was bad. I complained with Mr. Linsy. Another painter told Mr. Linsy that the second story needed more paint. Then he touched up the second story. I kept complaining about the third floor. He called a man and asked him to come to look at my house. The man came the next day. He did an inspection that he needs to touch up on the second floor in the front and a little bit on the left side. He said, they painted on the third story. I said they did paint, but the paint did not shine like the first and the second story. It looked like it did not paint most of the wall. He looked again and found out some of the parts of the wall didn't have any paint at all. He saw the paint on the porch was not even. He told him to touch it up. Mr. Linsy paid him to come. So do you trust that man because they are the same side. Mr. Linsy touched up, and he told me he's done. So he wanted me to pay. I told him that I have to wait to see when it dries. The next day he came to take the rest of the money. At this time I found out one of my bathroom window was rotten from inside of my house. His staff just put the compound on the window. I told him to check my window, the porch and some of the parts that he touched up. It was worse than before. He touched the paint again. He wanted the rest of the money. No, so he came back the next day, he saw it was worse. I told him you touched up and touched up again. It is terrible. Forget the wall, I was afraid that he touches up again, the front wall will be terrible. I wanted him just do the porch. He called his worker to do the whole porch again.
One more thing I wanted to paint the same color, so I gave Mr. Linsy my house contract book. The exterior paint Kelly Moore Paints. I had:
Base : KM 671 M Stormy Sky ICI Dulux Pro 2200 Exterior Acrylic Flat.
Upper: KM 668 L Silhouette.......
Accent : 203 Teton BLue.........
Trim: KM 571 L Panda Bear.
He looked at it. And asked me what is base. I told him, I don't know. You can go to Home Depot or Paint shop to ask them. I don't know. I went online and found out the base is the primary paint. When he brought the paint, there were only 3 items. I told him you said you have worked this job for more than 40 years, and yesterday you asked me what the base is. You should know what it is. Now you didn't buy that. He didn't paint the primary color. Mr. Linsy is something else. DO NOT TRUST MR. LINSY.
Remember YOU HAVE to check everything. AND When Mr. Linsy comes to estimate, whatever you want him to do. You should check on the contract. He agrees with you in the conversation, then when he does the contract, he might not put it in the writing. Like me, I trusted him at first and didn't pay attention to the contract. He said that is not on the contract. I told him that when you came to estimate. I told you about that. He said that I didn't say that and asked me to look at the contract. He is not trusted. It is a little cheap, but they are careless. DO NOT TRUST LINSY PAINTING. read more
