I love that the sample color is a quart in a shaker can with a screw off top. Plus it gives you plenty of paint to be able to paint multiple walls so you can see how the color reacts to different light levels. You never want to just paint one wall to see the color. I recommend painting at least four different corners. They help bring the paint out to your car too!

Their portion is sloppy. I had to paint over their edging. They dripped a lot on my deck, they dripped a lot on my skylight, they dripped on my roof. We had to have them come back to attempt to clean up. They didn't clean the skylight and now won't answer our calls. I'll be using a different painter for the future jobs.

It hadn't been painted since it was built, which at that time was 27-years. It was in very rough shape on the North/East side. When the job was complete, it looked GREAT! I contacted them again this fall due to pealing and checking of the original now 33-year old paint, again on the NE side of the house. Kevin gave me a very fair price and the work began. The crew worked very hard, did a lot of prep work, including re-caulking, and even used a special primer to aid in the prevention of checking and pealing. Once again, the house looks GREAT. Susan contacted me a week after the job was complete to ensure I was completely satisfied, and then sent me the bill. Think about that, they worked at-risk, knowing their quality and my perceived value would prevail. Of course, I paid in-full with a smile and will recommend them to my neighbors, friends, and family. I used Freddy Painting for the first time at my investment property. I found them on Yelp and they…read morehad good reviews so I took a chance. The communication was very good with the company. I thought their estimate for the work at my fourplex was fair because it was a huge job. I had them paint the exterior of the building which has four townhomes and also the decks of the fourplex. Friday even moved furniture off the decks because I wasn't given prior notice that he was coming early to give my tenants the heads up to remove their items. Freddy also repaired loose boards and replaced ones that were rotting. I was very satisfied with this company and their communication. I asked Freddy for a second quote on two more properties that I needed just trimwork repainted. However, I didn't feel their pricing was fair, compared to the other quotes I was receiving. I did end up contracting with my former painter on this job because his estimate was significantly less. Freddy was paid $2700 for the decks at my fourplex, but he wanted $4000 for trimwork on the current job. That wasn't working for me. I would try Freddy Painting again in the future to see if his quote would be fair like the first job. He did good work.

Wish I could do NO STARS!! I bought from a vendor at Rustic…read moreFox in Carol Stream yesterday 7/21. It was a green oversize nightstand. I asked for a discount bc the paint work on this piece was sloppy. You could see the wood color under the newly painted piece in the drawer area, it was never taped off properly and it was just a bad paint job. That should have been my first clue to walk away. Vendor agreed to give me $25 off. I went ahead and bought the piece and Martin (part owner of rustic fox) helped load the piece into the bed of our truck. When they got it in the bed of the truck I noticed the wood was gouged. I noticed it and said, I'm going to repaint this so I'll just repair it with wood putty. Martin had hit this cabinet next to something that caused this to happen when he was bringing it back to load in our truck. We inspected the piece before we bought it and this was not there when viewing it on the floor. Now, I get it home and really start to look at it. This was not a gouge in the wood this was the paint peeling from the piece not being prepared properly. The wood is fine but the paint just peeled right off the piece. You can feel the old, varnished wood underneath. It's smooth like the day the piece was originally made. I called Rustic Fox and was told ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Beware what you buy here. This piece was never prepped and painted properly. Now I have to sand the piece down to the bare wood and prime and repaint. If this was prepped properly to begin with, I could do a light sand and prime and paint. My point here...Martin knew the piece was damaged when he loaded in our truck. He knew he did it. He could have allowed me to return it. The vendor lied and said how much prep work went into this piece. NOT TRUE, you can see it right on the actual piece, it was NOT PREPPED. I'll revise this post once I find out who the vendor is at Rustic Fox. BE CAREFUL when buying these painted pieces. BE CAREFUL all sales are final!!
