My only wish for the class which would have increased 1 star would be handouts of the material presented.

I will post pics later.

There was a table for gifts and a table for snacks and drinks. We had an attendant that got the kids set up with the tools and paints they needed. The kids got to pick from really cute pieces to paint. We had the from for 1:45 but since there was no party booked after ours we got sit in there for two hours. My daughter had a great time and I would recommend them as a place to have a party. I wish that they would have written Happy Birthday on the chalk board in the room though. It still said merry Christmas lol.

Dena Espey is the owner and is so welcoming and artistic. We popped in here to take a look at the…read moreshop as they had some eye-catching patriotic pinwheel decorations out front. We were pleasantly surprised to see all these colorful works of art and a very neat studio. Dena told us all about the studio, and described it as an interactive art studio that helps people of all ability levels to learn new art techniques through a variety of classes and events. Very fun looking crafts ranging from 'fluid art', resin beach scenes, resin tumblers, charcuterie boards, wine glasses and more. You can book a paint/resin and sip party (BYOB) and create a very unique piece of art to take home. The finished art examples are on display in the shop and I loved the resin artwork. So much color and bling! There are some jewelry pieces for sale from local artists here as well. Can't wait to come back here to try a class! It is a very uplifting atmosphere and Dena was very friendly and enthusiastic.

There was no work space for the paints, water and brushes because we were seated so close together. We couldn't see the instructor or able to see what she was demonstrating. We were really looking forward to this class and left feeling like they just cared about fitting as many bodies in to make money. This also raises the question what the occupancy for this space is because I have to believe they were over it. If there had been a fire or emergency I don't think everyone could have gotten out nor could any emergency help get in with equipment etc.

Adrian had everything setup and even let the kids pick what music to listen to on Alexa (Hamilton!) The studio is cozy and well-stocked with supplies. Adrian is super talented and also a patient, fun, accommodating, creative and encouraging guide to crafting. He walked us through the almost-two-hour process of making our own, unique wooden signs-- from sanding, staining, pressing patterns, choosing colors and painting. We had a great time and came away with beautiful art. And for the very, very reasonable cost, I'm surprised there are any openings this winter. Run to DIT!!

I was told that all supplies were "included " nothing was said about paper for watercolor, $30.00 extra. I was so tense and stressed out that I didn't go back for the last class! I feel taken advantage of and believe that a 70$ refund is more than fair. Classes for beginners should include how to hold a brush right from the beginning , paints used were not even given the correct names, etc, etc, ; class should be fun! They were Not!
