There is so much photography and editing capabilities on our smartphones that the average user has no idea what's available. The class was hosted in a beautiful barn-converted building on the ground of several other buildings dedicated to a variety of art-making mediums. My only wish for the class which would have increased 1 star would be handouts of the material presented.

We took a class where we learned how to create a glass pyramid from a mold, and it was fascinating from start to finish. The demonstration was easy to follow and really fun to watch, and then we got to make our own with hands-on guidance throughout the process. The class lasted about an hour and a half, which felt like the perfect amount of time, and we were able to pick up our finished piece within three days. Seeing the final result made it even more special.

We thought it was going to take a little bit longer, but actually it moved at a pretty quick pace and it was done before we knew it. It was really cool to see all the different options of items you can make at the studio. We actually looked into the other classes that they had and are interested in coming back to make different things such as pumpkins or glasses. After seeing the final product of what we created, we fell in love with the art pieces we made. Everything is so unique, the color selections and the process of making them went really well. We decided to opt for the extra option of adding the glow to our our pieces and it was totally worth it. This was a totally fun date idea for the price. Like I said, we'll most likely be back to do this again because we love the art pieces we made and would like to make other ones too.

I had installed it into my present house and my wife and I enjoyed looking at it every time we walked into our bedroom. Last year I noticed the glass was coming out of the leading holding it together. Upon further investigation I realized that the wood frame was rotted on the outside causing the issue. The glass was literally sinking out of the frame. After searching the internet I stumbled across Art Glass and Studio. I'm sure glad I did. Lawrence (Law) was a pleasure to work with! He was honest and realistic about his timeframe for assessing the situation and actually getting the work started and finished. I really appreciated that he let us know that he is a busy guy handling a number of projects at the same time but would give our window his utmost attention when our time came. He gave us plenty of options for the repairs working with our budget and suggesting different methods for reinstallation of the window. The option we chose was to make the window a decorative piece instead of an actual permanent window. That way if we move again or our children want the window to stay in the family after we're gone it will be easier to move it to the next place. When it came time for our window to be worked on, I removed it from our house (my choice to save money) and took it over to his shop. Law started on it and kept us informed as to how it was going. Once started, he finished it quickly and it looks great! In this day and age of "bait and switch" it was such a pleasure to work with someone who actually does what he says and does great work. This window was built around 1870 and thanks to Art Glass and Studio (Law) it should have another 150 years of in it. I highly recommend them

There are so many different kinds…read moreof classes - in addition to the usual fused glass, slumped flower / coral bowls, stained glass, etc. they also do flamework and of course resin classes which I haven't seen elsewhere. Watch for seasonal classes (heart paperweight! turkey ornament!). Unlike the other suburban glass studio I've taken classes at, they also have a gift shop, so you can buy something instead of having to take a class if that's your jam. You could also actually buy the piece used to advertise a class. Pieces are affordable and there's a wide variety (cute little succulent gardens, stained glass, glass ornaments, resin keychains, etc.). Class prices are similar or a little less than what I've seen elsewhere, and if you become a member they're cheaper. Yes, they do open studio. I took a resin class, which was easy and fun; the teacher was patient and helpful. Class sizes are small (I actually got a solo class as a group canceled at the last minute). The owner was there, who was happy to show me cool projects related to the class I took, as well as to offer information about other classes they do. Signage is pretty good; you have to drive down a driveway to get to the businesses on the ground floor - look for the sign. Lots of parking.

From the start, the instructors were welcoming and did a great job walking us through each step of the process so we felt comfortable, even as total beginners. We loved getting to pick our colors (the selection wasn't huge, but there were still some really pretty options), and then actually working with the molten glass was so cool. The process of dipping the rod into the furnace, gathering the glass, shaping it, and then blowing it into a bowl was fascinating and surprisingly hands-on. The instructors guided us through each step, helping with timing and technique while still letting us feel involved in creating our piece. It made for such a unique and fun date night, and we both left feeling like we learned something new. One of the best parts is that you end up with a beautiful, functional bowl that you can actually use at home, which makes the experience even more special. The only small surprise was that you have to wait about 5 days to pick up your finished piece while it cools properly, but that's understandable given the process. Overall, we had an amazing time and would highly recommend this class to anyone looking for a fun, creative experience!
