The owner who also operates the Oak Brook Surgical Center as a practicing surgeon ultimately shifted the model and now offers viewings by appointment only. It's a real loss for the community, given the creativity, quality, and vibrancy that once defined the space! Always enjoyed visiting when in Oak Brook!

What a wonderful afternoon at DIT!!…read more During COVID, call/email ahead for a private appointment and send in images before you arrive. We had two adults and three kids (8, 9 and 12). Adrian had everything setup and even let the kids pick what music to listen to on Alexa (Hamilton!) The studio is cozy and well-stocked with supplies. Adrian is super talented and also a patient, fun, accommodating, creative and encouraging guide to crafting. He walked us through the almost-two-hour process of making our own, unique wooden signs-- from sanding, staining, pressing patterns, choosing colors and painting. We had a great time and came away with beautiful art. And for the very, very reasonable cost, I'm surprised there are any openings this winter. Run to DIT!!

It was a hot, hot day and it was so relaxing to be in a place with air conditioning. Being raised Catholic, I know how most churches are not air conditioned and have memories of fainting alter servers during mass. Luckily we had no fainting bridesmaids during the ceremony. I really liked that they had a more secular service with the structure of a religious service but readings from the couple's favorite books. I can't comment on the price of using the chapel since I was a bridesmaid and not a bride (#lifestory) but if you're looking to get married this might be a good place to checkout.

The only times that they have maybe bruised people is when they try to physically harm staff or other students so they have to restrain them. I went for 3 years and they NEVER put their hands on me I acted out and all they did was put me in a office. My school counselor was amazing and my teachers helped me through the hardest parts of my life. If you want a school that will shape your kid into a better person and a place that'll help your kid grow this is the place.

You could not even do it yourself for that amount of money. Get a grip people. So the artist of our piece has her work framed here for her shows, so if it works for her, we will give it a try. Angela and Frank, the owners, worked patiently with us suggesting different frames. Our piece happened to be 63 inches tall ~ a little on the tall side. They suggested a frame from Italy ~ it was beautiful with the artwork. Even the artist came in and thought it would be beautiful. SOLD It really did not take any longer than other art pieces we have had framed ~ this is not an instant gratification process. When it was completed we were totally pleased. This window has been in my family for 50 years now. It was in my house when I was growing up and…read morehas moved with me twice. I had installed it into my present house and my wife and I enjoyed looking at it every time we walked into our bedroom. Last year I noticed the glass was coming out of the leading holding it together. Upon further investigation I realized that the wood frame was rotted on the outside causing the issue. The glass was literally sinking out of the frame. After searching the internet I stumbled across Art Glass and Studio. I'm sure glad I did. Lawrence (Law) was a pleasure to work with! He was honest and realistic about his timeframe for assessing the situation and actually getting the work started and finished. I really appreciated that he let us know that he is a busy guy handling a number of projects at the same time but would give our window his utmost attention when our time came. He gave us plenty of options for the repairs working with our budget and suggesting different methods for reinstallation of the window. The option we chose was to make the window a decorative piece instead of an actual permanent window. That way if we move again or our children want the window to stay in the family after we're gone it will be easier to move it to the next place. When it came time for our window to be worked on, I removed it from our house (my choice to save money) and took it over to his shop. Law started on it and kept us informed as to how it was going. Once started, he finished it quickly and it looks great! In this day and age of "bait and switch" it was such a pleasure to work with someone who actually does what he says and does great work. This window was built around 1870 and thanks to Art Glass and Studio (Law) it should have another 150 years of in it. I highly recommend them
