Some employees are more knowledgeable than others (I'm returning to exchange some screw nuts that don't fit the screws a young kid working on a Sunday helped me with) but usually, when you're down to nuts and bolts, you know your thing--and otherwise I have had experienced advice. Lots of small hardware (which is great) but otherwise I would say the store is skewed to the home and household (cleaners, magnets, plants, propane, greeting cards, WD40, light bulbs etc) as opposed to overwhelming choices in tools--although they are not bereft of expected offerings. I would recommend this store just for the hassle-free and fast service getting a key duplicated! And hassle-free paint samples! I go to this store rather than Home Depot whenever possible--the additional time I need to spend navigating HD or finding someone knowledgeable to help me just isn't worth it when you have a neighborhood hardware store down the road.

After working with them, it's obvious why they're so highly rated! Stuart came out the very next day and provided a fair, competitive quote for painting the exterior. Even my dog liked Stuart, which was a good sign! I can't say the same for the other two companies that came out. The two gentlemen who completed the work didn't just do a good job--they did an EXCEPTIONAL job. I had resigned myself to the idea that some of my 1980s siding would never look great again. I was wrong. The team went above and beyond, sealing every gap and nail hole across the entire exterior. They even applied elastomeric primer to the exposed wood ends to help extend their lifespan. The project took about two days of preparation and painting, and the finished product was absolutely pristine. My neighbors have overspray on their chimneys and brick facades from other painting jobs, but these guys didn't make a single mistake. The tape lines were razor-sharp, there wasn't a drip or a spot of overspray anywhere, and they even carefully taped around my house numbers with an X-Acto knife. That level of attention to detail genuinely surprised me. The quality of workmanship and value I received from Xtreme Painting are hard to find these days. Stuart and his team clearly take tremendous pride in their work and run an exceptional operation. Their Yelp ratings are well deserved. I just hope Stuart doesn't retire before it's time to paint my next house! Outstanding work. Thank you, Stuart and the entire team!
