After some wildly overpriced, poorly executed renovation work (oh, don't worry boys, you are gonna…read moreget a well deserved review of your own, trust me) left us with paint that absolutely did not match the original walls, I got sent on what can only be described as a Home Improvement Side Quest™. We even had the original Sherwin-Williams paint can with the specs on it. You'd think that would make things simple. You would be wrong. Home Depot tried several times. To their credit, they at least noticed the color was drying wrong. But after enough "close enough" attempts to make me question my sanity and my walls, I finally went to the Sherwin-Williams on King Street. That's where I met a younger Polynesian guy with an incredible afro and the energy level of someone who actually enjoys helping people, which frankly feels rare these days. This guy spent OVER TWO HOURS trying to get the match correct. Testing, adjusting, remixing, checking the dry-down, trying again. At one point he literally told me, "I'm still not happy with it, give me a little more time." Which is exactly what you want to hear from someone matching paint, and not from your surgeon or airline pilot. The best part is I wasn't even buying some massive contractor order. I needed ONE quart. One. Tiny. Quart. And he still treated it like a mission of national importance. Eventually, he nailed it. But honestly, the thing that stood out most wasn't just the paint match. It was the attitude. The guy was smiling the entire time. Super upbeat, super patient, never once acted annoyed. And weirdly enough, everyone else there seemed genuinely cheerful too. Management included. The whole store felt relaxed and positive, which was especially noticeable after dealing with the emotional support zombies at their auto paint counterpart store recently. Sherwin-Williams (on King Street), seriously: you've got a keeper. Give that guy a raise, a promotion, or at minimum his own reserved parking spot. Excellent service. Excellent effort. And finally, walls that don't look like they were patched using leftovers from three different dimensions.

Meticulous. Detail oriented. Genuine. Trustworthy. Capable. Affordable…read more If any of those words are important to you when looking for a painter, then B&B is who you should hire if you want a high-quality and beautiful paint job. Bryson knows what he's doing and has a solution for everything that was bad with our worn down exterior. We let the exterior paint deteriorate for too long, and now the house looks brand new. Prep work needed a lot, and Bryson was meticulous when prepping every surface including the gutters, overhangs, window sills, and worn areas requiring extensive work. Pressure wash, caulk, fill, and sand. Then some repeated to make things look new again. He's genuine and does what he says he's going to do. No skimping. He uses quality Sherwin Williams paint that is expected to last. Paint is sprayed, rolled, and brushed and looks flawless. Man....such a difference! And of course, his estimate came in at around the mid-range compared to others. Completely worth the money. Hire B&B! They also painted the entire interior of our house a year ago which prior to our moving in, was a rental property. Now it's ready for a photo shoot! Beautiful work and everything looks incredibly new. B&B goes the extra mile to make you happy. They genuinely care about their work. We are very happy campers and you will be too. They're all about service and satisfied clients. I'm recommending them to all my neighbors, friends, and family. Get on their list!

I skimmed over a highly recommended post for Bryson and Ben, asked them to stop by for an estimate as I start packing my home. After already receiving a quote from my realtor based on photos I sent, I needed 2 more. Bryson and Ben stopped by and I showed them the areas that needed help and some other areas that I didn't quite finish but I knew will need the help. I asked them for 2 separate quotes, one for those problem areas that definitely needed the attention and only for spotting damages (no blending walls) and another for wall to wall blending of existing colors. They shared with me other things they would do such as minor repairs, varnishing on wood pieces in the house, and I asked them to add it on the quote. They also mentioned that if I had existing paint laying around they can see what can be done with it if not they are able to color match and order the paint. My last quote from another company came in and they needed precise problematic areas but this was just for painting, not for repairs. When I had the opportunity to discuss with my spouse, we decided to hire Bryson and Ben. This weekend they showed up as scheduled with all their materials. They worked diligently and were very meticulous about their work! I initially selected the spot work and minor damage repairs and they did just that. When spotting was done, they noticed the colors were a bit off because it's been 6 years since my husband painted the house and, of course, overtime, the paint tends to fade being exposed to surrounding elements overtime. I agreed with them and I appreciated them pointing out the difference after letting the paint set overnight. They would continue as planned if I still wanted just the spotted work but they felt awkward feeling like the work is not satisfactory. I was onboard and I totally agreed with them as I did not want my home's Open House with obvious spotty work! With my husband deployed, I was not able to take down the large, heavy shadow boxes that were placed in really high areas in my home, and the heavy wall mounted TV's. Bryson and Ben insisted they would take everything down, fix and repair anything needing repairs and I am so grateful!!! After 2 trips to the paint shop and long drying repair times, primer, paint, and varnish...the house looks like nothing existed on the walls! I must add that there were spots that I had missed and the guys took it upon themselves to get it done anyway! They didn't even tell me they did it!! I found the primer spots in hidden areas and a faded wall that I really didn't think needed any help! That is above and beyond in my book, and I was so fortunate to have stumbled upon their services! I made sure I compensated for the extra work and extra time, because it's rare to find honest work and work ethics and standards as high as theirs anymore. My husband has one less thing to worry about when he returns from deployment, and I couldn't be more pleased with everything Bryson and Ben has done to get the job done. 5 stars for their quick response and reasonable estimates 5 stars for their quality of work and their hard work to get things done 5 stars for their offer to help customers with other things that needed to get done. It truly lifted weight off my shoulders!! 5 stars for making the effort and initiative to fill other minor areas missed, that speaks volumes of their work ethics, morals, and values. They care about their work and the customers who depend on them, I am beyond grateful for their services and their time away from their families to help other families. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to get the job done right. They will not disappoint!! Mahalo Bryson and Ben!! And for both your families for the time away to help us out!!

City Mill is my hardware store of choice! Now don't get me wrong..........I do shop at Home Depot & Lowes at times when I am looking for something that City Mill doesn't carry, or if I am on da cheap where I wanna save a few bucks! Lol! I was working in Ewa Beach this past week, and I remembered I needed to buy something, as I was fixing something on our garage. Luckily, City Mill was in the same shopping complex on where I was working, so I decided to pop on in to check it out! Located at the Laulani Village Shopping Center, you'll find City Mill towards the opposite end of the mall (from Safeway) as the store is just next door from Petco. Like any hardware store, you'll probably find whatever you need here for home improvement, and I even saw that they carried some pet supply items, too! Got what I came here for, and I even noticed their prices for the item I was looking for was even cheaper (lower) than Home Depot, or Walmart! Shop local, and support local whenever you can my friends!
