I have never been so infuriated with a business in such a hot minute as I have with this business…read moreand I am not prone to a hot temper. I called in advance because I am severely disabled with close to no mobility what so ever. I asked if they had a selection of twin beds on their floor. The lady I spoke with said oh yes sure. I doubled down with "a selection of different firmnesses" Oh yes of every kind she replied. And that they could deliver to my house (out of town) in 2 days with deliveries made on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. I said I would be in the next day. HOWEVER, when I drug my sorry butt in with two canes, on oxygen, wincing every step of the way from front door disabled parking into the establishment with my caregiver.... Mr Bruce with an exasperated tone of having, yet again, to explain to another idiot, informed me that they had no twin beds on the floor at all, but that any of their queen size beds could be delivered in twin size versions. I said I called in advance to make sure you had a selection of twin beds on your floor, because I need to get the sense if a twin bed size would work for me and my small dog to sleep on or if I should be looking at a double bed. For that I need to lay down on a twin bed which I was informed are here. He doubled down with we do not have any twin beds on the floor and then just stared at me for a moment before declaring we do have twins in the building , but not one the floor. Ok can I please see the twins you have in the building? Now I can tell I am putting himself out again with the exasperation including huffs and puffs, before he walks over to a wall, just 10 feet away and yanks out a twin that is standing upright in "a mattress closet". As he pulls it out the mattress flops out on a frame haphazardly skittering out of place, which he fails to fix & even backs away. So I, and my caregiver (thank god for small miracles) move the twin, back to the front edge of the frame, so I can sit and lay down. Long story short, I decide that I do not want to buy a mattress from a guy who has at no point exhibited any warmth or welcoming, but instead made me feel like he thinks I am an idiot and not worth any effort on his part, much less had any concern for my well being. If I had attempted to get on that mattress, as it was askew, I easily could have had an accident and been harmed. So I told my caregiver to find another store on the google. She was so relieved when I said I was not buying a mattress from this guy because "he was horrible". (So 2 opinions on that one. We drove over to The Mattress Shoppe located 5 minutes away inside Roby's Furniture store. The difference in customer service switched from non existent to 100%. Not only did they have many selections of twins in different brands and firmness but the guy even went and got another guy to move a mattress onto a lower frame so I could more easily get on it. 100 percent difference.

The employee helping me was new, so he had a lot of difficulty knowing what products they stock and sell or how to process transactions. What was worse was him running back and forth to the back office to his manager every time either he or I had a question; sometimes disappearing mid-transaction for 10 minutes at a time while I stood there doing nothing. The manager did come out to check his work and try to upsell products I don't want to pay for a couple times. It was quite clear that i had a major role participating in the training process. Once we finished the data transfer, I was told we were done and walked out of the store with my new phone and drove home, 45 minutes away. I realized once there and I began to register the new phone on the network that I didn't get the retail box or the contents within, including all the required codes that are needed to register on the T-mobile network. I immediately called the store to verify it was still there and let them know that I wanted it. I was told over the phone that there was no problem. They had it. It would be there for me to pick up whenever I could get back. Yes, another 90 minute round trip drive to Warrenton and back. Tally-ho! I did find what I needed to get the new phone functioning actually in the phone settings which was nice. Now I know. Regardless, I want the entire package I purchased including the box which absolutely has value especially later when and if I try and resell or disposition the product. I drive back to the store the following morning only to find out once there that they shredded my box because "a thief can use the codes to hack my phone". "We aren't allowed to retain the packaging." So much for it being there for me. OK, simple fix, no problem, I offered to return the phone I bought the day before, and exchange it for one complete in it's retail box. Nope, think again, now they want a $70 restocking fee even though they were the root cause by destroying the personal property of a customer. Not gonna happen. And, it wasn't like they couldn't have contacted me before destroying my property. They have had my phone number for over 20 years. Short story shorter, I walked away, angry and upset that I put so much effort into this failed project. Then to get bullied over every aspect of trying to buy an expensive phone. I had to contact corporate to do a proper swap which surprisingly includes the return of product "in its original packaging". I got them to cover the fee under the circumstances and send me a replacement though, as they were just as surprised as I was that the store did this to me. Corporate is filing a complaint against the store, swapping the phone and covering the restocking fee. I will never try this again in the store. In any case. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE if there is any other option. Buy products direct from the web store. You'll thank me later. Its just not worth dealing with them. Also, for the record, the new person helping me deserves credit for what he did. He was set up to fail by his management. No one could have performed better under the circumstances. I hope his management doesn't scapegoat this young man. A little mentoring would have been epic. T-mobile is generally a good company. I have friends who work there. They corrected the problem satisfactorily. My time and effort is sunk though and I'm still not done. I expect better from them and I know they do to. This was an awful experience that didn't need to be.

The old hard drive was pretty badly "brain damaged" so I was told that the migration needed extra care and it made me trust the technician. Once this was done, the on-site visit to where I live was done faster than I expected. Nick came well prepared. He brought an extra connector which turned out to be vital since my new computer would otherwise not have connected with my old monitor I didn't want to replace. The second challenge came with my printer also in good shape and with no need of replacing yet that would not work with the new computer. It was a tougher issue but one that Nick managed to fix and fairly fast as well. Without those two problems being fixed I would have had to buy a new monitor and a new printer. The cost: Given The migration and the troubleshooting including the onsite visit, I was pleasantly surprised that the cost was actually less then I expected while still within the norms of any technical work of this nature.
