I've had good experiences in the past, so I hope my current issue is resolved satisfactorily. Fully stocked lumber/hardware businesses are few and far between in my locale. I made the drive to Rosenberg's to get all I needed in one place for a flooring project. Scheduling a contractor is a challenge and after I did all the preliminary work a local builder fit me into his very busy schedule. Upon arrival he noted that one of the products I purchased was defective. I spoke to three people at Rosenberg's to learn that only if I returned to their store (50 minute drive) could I get a refund on the defective materials. They wouldn't take my word for it. I hope they aren't planning to sell it to someone else. The contractor went out, on the clock, to rustle up a replacement closer and threw off both our schedules. I will need to make the ~30 mile drive to try to get a refund on my purchase, but it may not be worth it. Waiting to see what it's going to cost me when all's said and done. I'm back to report that dealing with the defective merchandise cost me nearly $100. Making the drive to return that merchandise is inconvenient and the refund isn't worth the time and gas$$$. Continues to be a bad place to shop. I stopped in for a simple part only because I was driving by but they not only didn't have the basic part amongst their selection, they offered their classic terrible service. If they weren't the only spot for 20 miles this place would not be in business. Also, they priced my friction tape at $1.99 but charged me $2.00 and called the penny a 'tax'. Sales tax doesn't exist in Oregon. They just continue to use listed pricing but ended up charging more for cash customers than card customers against all logic. A penny is petty but indicative of the underlying experience at Rosenberg's. Shop in Washington or Lincoln counties if you need basic hardware. Rosenberg is the largest hardware store in Tillamook and they are the worst! read more

An amazingly well stocked yard and supply store for parts I always find what I need here whether it's bricks or drywall, if I need paint, I have an excellent paint department I needed a custom color no problem. The people that work here are courteous and fast you can get any kind of plumbing need you have I got stuff for the barbecue it's just a really good place to stop. read more

This place is so cool! Doesn't look like much from the outside but inside has just about everything you could want, plus customer service from friendly knowledge people!! Went in at 1:30 in the afternoon to get some paint to be told their paint lady was on her hour lunch and would be back in 45 min. 10 people in store working and only one person knows how to mix paint. read more

All but one employee was wearing a mask this evening. An outbreak could be a super spreader event and all the non-mask wearers may contract the virus and then have to quarantine for 5 days according to CDC guidelines. Can your business afford for your employees to not wear masks? What about customers? Do you care about the safety and health of your clientele when you don't wear masks and don't require customers to wear them either? Do you care about the already overburdened healthcare employees in this small town and the heavier burdens you place on them when you are contributing to the spread of the disease by not having, encouraging, or mandating that employees and customers wear a mask? The CDC is now recommending N95 or KN95 masks to help slow the spread and flatten the curve. Yet your business is taking a very lax position on the matter. Not good optics Loten Hooley... read more

Only one employee was wearing a mask in the store. Customers were wearing masks while employees were not. Having a back door open does not constitute an open air facility. While the service is always nice, the employee helping stepped right up to me being less than two feet away without a mask. I don't know their vaccination status - I don't care. I do care that if I'm obviously trying to stay safe and wearing a mask, that an employee should be respectful and maintain their distance if they're going to flaunt state policy. It also makes me feel deeply uncomfortable to have an entire store flaunt a state policy. Safeway, Fred Meyer.... They're following the rules. What makes Rosenberg's so special that they don't? We will be driving out of our way to get supplies in the future. Customer service goes out the door when your customers are following mask mandates and you are not. read more

5 ladies at checkout, waiting in line for minutes, all while they chat it up, one ladie makes eye contact, like come over, so I do, then she rudely says, "oh I'm not ready" then goes right back to talking. I am a local here and this is inexcusable. very poor customer service. read more

We have gone to Rosenberg's for everything from paint to tools to wood and supplies for projects....and every time we get the most exceptional service! Everyone is super positive and helpful. They stop whatever they are doing to help us out. Recently a young guy, Sam, in the paint department was able to match the paint we needed and was super knowledgeable about our options for paint. Such a great place with the best customer service (which is sometimes hard to find these days)! read more

Unreliable...established and paid order by May 13th...no anticipated problems with May 31 delivery. My phone call a week prior confirmed the same...no problems. Morning of delivery day...whoops...shorted by 1/3 of essential concrete blocks and no drainpipe your size. Can't tell me when I could expect the blocks, and if you want drainpipe, you'll need to buy 100' worth in lieu of the 30' ordered. read more

This one star review is for the woman that works at the desk: Diana. She needs to just do her job and keep her mouth shut about her own personal opinions. Was waiting at customer service when the nice lady helping me called over her manager to help out with something. Diana walks away after she's done helping her fellow employee and loudly proclaims to another customer "phew, someone's perfume is strong over there." Well, the only other people there were me, a few gentlemen, and Diana's fellow employees. Now I know she wasn't talking about the gentlemen, and I'm sure she wasn't talking about any of her fellow employees, whom she'd been working with all day. She was very obviously talking about me. This isn't the first time we've had problems with this particular employee staying opinions to me and my husband that were rude and obnoxious. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the day when this woman has retired! The day can't come soon enough! read more

Prices are high and customer service is horrible! I rather drive to Home Depot or Lowe's! Can't get a smile or any help offered. When I do ask somebody for help it is like I am asking for blood. My husband went in to talk about buying windows, the window lady "Chrissy" was completely rude. Told him to pick up manuals on Milgard window for more information. She was rude and apparently didn't know how to read measurements. We would like to shop local, but not here!!! read more

This is by far the best building supply on the coast besides home depot, that is along ways away, it has greatly improved sence the owner now took over the business several years ago. I have never had a problem with the service except at the check out stand trying to figure out who's next but the people behind the stand are fantastic. Most of the lumber is now under cover now so that is nice. read more

This was my experience today from beginning to end: I needed two gallons of paint in a certain color, so I came into the store, stood by the paint counter, and waited politely. Usually after a minute or two someone in there asks if I'm being helped. One particular employee was hanging around in the paint dept. and just gabbing away with someone. He saw me standing there (as did several other employees), but not one person acknowledged me, nor did anyone inform me that someone would be available soon to help me. Guy in paint dept. clearly saw me standing there for several minutes and just kept on with his little conversation. About 5 feet away I spotted another employee, so I asked her nicely if I could get some help in the paint department. She pointed me to "Matt" - the guy who was gabbing away with not a care in the world. So I walked up to him and asked for help. He literally turned around, looked at me, said NOTHING, and turned back around, talking to someone else. Wow. At this point I noticed no less than 5 people standing at the front counter by the entrance, although there were no customers to help at this point. There was hardly anyone in the store. So I walked up to the front counter and asked a lady if someone could please help me in the paint department. Her response: "Welllll... I don't really know the paint guys...." Um, okay, but that's not what I asked. I told her that I tried approaching "Matt" in the paint dept. but he ignored me. She offered to call someone to help me -- however at this point it became quite obvious to me that "Matt" is the only one trained to help with paint, and had made it very clear that he had no interest in helping a customer. I said "Nope, never mind," then easily went to Freddy's, got the samples I needed under the same brand that Rosenberg carries, and even got into a little conversation with the Freddy's guy about this "Matt" character. Apparently he's notorious. Seriously -- when Freddy's can cross-train their employees to help in multiple departments, you'd think that a company like Rosenberg could do the same. And this Matt character obviously does not respect the company he works for or he would not behave this way with the public. read more

Just had these guys install 3 ceiling fans, a bunch of smoke alarms, new bathroom ceiling fan, a new light bar, a precious Murano Italian Chandelier. They were fantastic! I have more electrical work and definitely will use Rosenberg Elecricians again. Highly recommend to all ! read more

Sometimes I have to be patient and wait for help -- the place can be incredibly busy! -- but with only a few exceptions the help has always been fantastic (the exceptions tend to be new employees that haven't figured out their jobs yet or, worse, to take having a job seriously). I've had two employees in the plumbing section give me twenty of more minutes of their time trying to figure out how to handle a perplexing problem, and the knowledge and experience of the "head gal" in the paint department is such that we've started calling her "the paint goddess". And the lumber people help me sort through boards to get exactly what I want, instead of just loading up whatever is on top of a stack. It's too bad theydon't have any real competition in town, but I think the present owner's dedication to making it a better business has a bunch to do with that: at least three times he's been the one helping me, and he doesn't quit till I the customer am satisfied. read more
