Needed to do some touch-up of a wall, so went to the big-box store where the previous owner had acquired the original paint. They "color-matched" it for me but it was not even close. Went back and was told the best they could suggest was to match it by eye to paint samples. Went to the Sherwin-Williams store on Colfax. "Isa" processed a color match that was absolutely perfect! Will be my go-to from now on. read more

great service. They had just what I needed. I come here often. The hours can be a bit inconvenient at times though. :)

Nick was my associate today and he was wonderful to work with. It's not just job competence, it's also customer relations that makes me have a great experience. Nick proved both. Thanks for giving a WOW experience! read more

Thank you for the excellent customer service! Had a little hiccup but the staff at Sherwin-Williams on Colfax (sorry I didn't get your names...but one of you owns a dog or two) did a great job in rectifying the situation. I used "Air-Purifying" (replacing Harmony) in flat for the ceiling and satin on the walls and it looks amazing. I painted the space in Alabaster and love it. It's a warm white that I think looks great. read more

Sherwin-Williams, can I tell you how easy it's been working with James. I could tell from the 1st store visit that he was knowledgeable and enjoyed his job. On the second store visit he showed understanding & patience for what has been a confusing issue with a specific/special color of contractors paint. I believe it is a mistake on my end, but yet James has spent time problem solving the issue with me and figured out how to get me exactly what I need. He even told me verbatim "We will make it right". On a recent problem solving phone call James was yet again kind and helpful in fixing my issue and made sure to tell me to let him know if it wasn't a match. Sherwin-Williams, ...James is a true shining example of caring customer service. (Edit for spelling) read more

I had to find a matching color after repairing a wall damage. Had no idea what color it was. Went to this store and one of the employees helped me pick out some samples off of the picture I took. As pictures are inaccurate, she advised me to get a piece of wall and bring it to store. So I went back to the store and they ran it through some machine and custom mixed the color in just a few minutes! It was a perfect matching color on my wall! It's so awesome to finally find the color. everyone at the store was so helpful and friendly. Highly highly recommend this Sherwin Williams store for your paint need!! read more

Not only does Sherwin Williams have the best selection of paint colors, but Nick at the Colfax location went above and beyond to help me with a last minute order as they were minutes to closing. If I could give him 10 stars I would- the absolute best customer service and I will never buy paint anywhere else but through him and this location. Thank you Nick! You are a lifesaver!!!!!! read more

Everyone here is very professional and knowledgeable. I sometimes can't figure out the paint and they really do their best to help out. I have to mention specifically Selena (hope that's how you spell it) she is always helpful, great attitude and even better customer service. read more

I stop by the Sherwin-Williams store off Colfax at 5:50 they close at 6:00 I brought my merchandise to the customer service at the front and the lady at the counter told me that she had already cashed out her drawer and that she couldn't accept cash I guess your money is no good at Sherman Williams if you show up 10 minutes before they close I wonder if they train their employees this way horrible customer read more

This store was awesome!! The new(er) manager (Angie I believe was her name) helped me out tremendously with all of the supplies I needed, she had my previously ordered paint mixed and ready promptly upon arrival and was even able to give me some much needed advice for using the Emerald Urethane product with the cabinets I was painting! Definitely recommend this location 10/10 read more

Website says open til 7:00, new hours are 6:00PM. Showed up at 5:55 and the worker refused to provide a color match, even after I let him know I drive 20+ minutes to get here. Go somewhere else if this is how they treat customers. read more

My husband and I moved into our first home right before COVID so we've had a lot of time for home improvement and have slowly repainted our whole house this year, room by room. This means we've visited this store over a dozen times this year, and everyone at this store has been so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They remember my husband and ask him how paint colors turned out, and always jump up to help answer questions with a smile. Thanks for the great product and service! read more

Having moved into the neighborhood recently, I was relieved to find a local SW store! As expected, and to my delight, the store was easy to find, parking lot well maintained, inside was well-stocked, easy to navigate. The bright spots are always the staff - this team helped me make a great choice and they worked out how to get me a bit of a discount off the full retail price. I highly recommend making friends with your local SW to get a personalized experience and help with all of your home painting projects. read more

Very poor customer service. I went in last week to buy paint for painting the interior of our first floor. I am new to painting and had questions. I was treated very poorly by the person "helping me." He told me he wasn't the "ring leader" and I needed to go look at the advisory board. Then I listened to him talk about me to his co-worker negatively. I left and bought all of the paint I needed for our first floor elsewhere. read more

I went into Sherwin Williams yesterday with absolutely no clue as to what I needed for painting or even the kind of paint that was good. It was a really hard week for me personally, I just knew I needed to paint. I walked in and was instantly helped by Anthony. He answered all of my questions, was honest with recommending the best products to purchase (never pushed the highest price for everything) and was just so kind. He even showed me how to brush and keep my brushes fresh. I was blown away. It was an absolutely wonderful experience leaving me very excited for my new paint project. I will definitely be back. Sherwin Williams, you have a top notch employee in Anthony! read more

Came in with a small patch job needing some touch up paint. James couldn't be bothered to walk 25 feet to the patch swatch's and assist me with selecting something. Took probably 50 different paint swatches home, narrowed it down to four and had to buy all four paint samples to get the right color matches. Just had higher expectations based on their advertisements noting willingness to provide assistance. Basically customer service was right on track with the Home Depot. So... why do I need to come to as store like this? read more

They didn't have stain samples on wood, so they kindly painted a piece I brought in with a few different samples for me to take home. Far better customer service than a big box store. read more

Had a great experience working with Nick Miles who helped me select colors for my walls and trim. He really knows his colors.

Incredibly knowledgeable and helpful staff, also very pet friendly! James deserves a special shout out for excellent service!

For some reason a 4th of July tradition has been to paint something in the house, this year is no different. I am painting and remodeling our fireplace all by myself. Normally I would not Yelp the paint store but I had a great experience at Sherwin William after visiting their competitor across the street. Quick background: I walked into the empty competitor with a vase I am using as a color inspiration. After looking at the color chips for a bit, both sales people followed me around picking out unbelievably bad matches. When I asked if I could match the vase exactly, I thought I had been transported into Day of the Dead. So I rushed out of the store and across the street. I walked into Sherwin Williams and had to wait just a bit as this store was busy. With vase in hand and an inspiration for my fireplace, I was professionally guided into primer and paint choices for a brick and plaster fireplace and when it came time for color, my vase was color scanned and the most perfect shade of cobalt blue was created for my mantle. Don't waste your time on Colfax choosing between paint stores, just start your next paint project at Sherwin Williams. Oh yes, if you like to paint and change things around, get their frequent painter card for a 30% discount on all your projects. read more

I've learned a thing or two about painting your home. #1 is buy the most expensive supplies you can afford, because even though you can't tell the difference in the store, once you start using it, the cheap roller starts to leave fuzz, that cheap brush leaves bristles, and that cheap drop cloth rips, defeating the whole purpose. Usually, you get what you pay for. The same applies to paint. Cheap paint won't cover well, it seperates easily, and you end up having to apply twice or thrice as many coats, and end up spending more time and money than if you had just gotten the quality stuff to begin with. Sherwin-Williams paint is great to work with. Awesome coverage. And the employees here usually know something about paint. I really appreciated it when I told them I was painting a gray wall red, and they told me that I didn't need a primer. If they had recommended one, I would have bought it, so they actually missed out on a sale. But they were totally right, the existing gray made an ideal tinted primer and they saved me a huge amount of time and a bit of cash, too. Very cool. Only downsides: their hours, which seem to be meant for professionals, not homeowners, and we bought a few gallons there before anyone told us about their preferred card, which saves you something like 10% on every purchase. So if they don't mention it to you, ask for it! Especially if, like me, you have a whole house to paint. read more

Painting sucks. It's one of life's necessary evils like moving. And I've done my share of painting having owned three places in the last two years. If you were wondering, it doesn't get any easier, sucks worse the more you do it. Which is why I really don't want to dick around. I don't know how they find these people, but the sales reps at Sherwin Williams know their stuff. My favorite is Austin, who doesn't know that I know who he is. Anyway, Austin and his buddies are extremely knowledgeable re: paint finishes, how to remove wallpaper, what brush to use for what...all the crap you need to know if you're painting. If you can, pay someone to get the job done, see my painter's review http://www.yelp.com/biz/matt-medina-painting-denver If you have to do it yourself, go here. It will suck ever so slightly less. read more

We are getting ready to move out of our apartment and we have some nail holes to fill and paint, as well as a few baseboards to go over. After finally tracking down the paint codes, I find that they were original from Sherwin Williams. Now mind you, I am not overly handy, and am truly don't enjoy the painting process in general, so I was not really looking forward to this experience at all. I started by calling this S.W. location and asking if they could mix up the paint before I arrived. Not a problem! They wanted to know the paint #, sheen, and how much paint i needed, and it would be ready within 30 minutes! NICE! About an hour later we show up, pick up some paint brushes, some masking tape, and our paint. Easy, painless, and the guy that was working there was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Thank you, Sherwin Williams, for making something dreadful go a little easier. read more

My wife called the store to find out what could be done to modify the color of paint that she bought. The person on the phone was very friendly and told her that they could accommodate her request and suggested she come to the store. She then went to the store and dealt with someone who was borderline rude, suggested that another store might do things differently, suggested that they couldn't help her because of potential liability and then, when she said that she spoke to someone from that store (Colfax store) reluctantly agreed to help, but was adamant about adding only one particular tint. Seems like this store is great if everything works great, but not if you need any kind of consultative customer assistance. Ben Moore and even Home Depot are great, so not understanding how this kind of customer interaction works for them. read more

I was very happy with my experience at this store. I was hoping to get a few last minute samples that I ordered on-line. Not realizing the time Sunday, I only had 15 minutes to drive there before store closed. Every time I come to this location I have a great experience. Their staff is super knowledgeable, friendly, and quick to help you. Today, James walked me through the store, looked up all of the current coupons for the items I was needing, and helped me find the best deals on everything. This was great because I was planning on just buying contractor grade but he actually got me Purdy products for way cheaper. I love coming here and will definitely be back. I suggest this location for everyone! Thanks James!!! read more
