I went to the Sherwin Williams store to get brochures of outdoor paint samples. I was highly…read moredisappointed with the sales clerk. He acted like he did not know what I was talking about. I told him I needed to get a brochure like the one he was holding. He then referred me to their website. I told him I already went on-line and wanted a brochure. He then showed me the store display. The store display showed me what I was asking about. There were samples of both Exterior and Interior paints. He insisted I could use specified Interior paints on the outside and told me all the paints were the same. I told him this is incorrect and SW has a very good explanation of paints including purposes on the SW website. I suggested he look at their website. I then told him I didn't need any more "help" that I wanted to get samples from the display. He then went back to his counter. I got the brochures with paint samples I needed and my painter has since successfully complete the job. Sherwin Williams has excellent paint products, but at this store the clerk was incompetent and needed to be trained on what he is selling. Fortunately, this was not my first time buying paint and I did my homework before going to this store. My experience was frustrating to say the least and will look for another SW store to go to in the future. It is sad that a well-established franchise does not have a better qualified staff representative of their brand. This is a primary reason businesses go bankrupt.

Sometimes I under estimate the amount of skeins for a project. If they don't have it in-store, I'll order it online. I try to come to the store undercover...I.e. alone. Because if the hubster comes with me, HE IS capable of spending just as much if not more than me!. Things like OUTSIDE Christmas decorations ...don't get me started!

I am sure the issue is somewhere on our roof, but I am not clear exactly where. While walking around searching for roofing materials, I noticed the work clothes section near the front. I also saw that they carry major appliances too, bit I didn't spend too much time looking at those. I found out that thry have a different line-up of paint as well, and I actuallybdid purchase a quart of semi-gloss for our bathroom. Thats the thing about these big box hardware stores- you come in with the idea of purchasing a single item, but end-up leaving with three things!

This is a perfect stop for anyone looking for that special little gift or trinket for a friend or loved one. Additionally, and secretly (because I'm selfish when it comes to books), they have a small but selection of old but interesting books scattered throughout the store...don't tell anyone else. I didn't catch her name but the lady who works the desk is extremely welcoming and helpful as well. You need a decretive piece of wood art with a snappy little quip about wine or alcohol, they've got it. Perhaps you want something that displays your or someone you knows patriotic fervor, it's here. Or you may like a new dish or two as a centerpiece that strikes up conversation at your next get together, well then, you guessed it, it's waiting for you. There's no reason not to check this place out. Have some brunch at the Secret Garden Cafe then take a foot-tour of this amazing town, and pop in to see this place in all its glory. Enjoy!
