So I came here first thing this morning and surprisingly, I was the only customer in the store. That being said, I was helped immediately. They have so many different types of paints here, I really wasn't sure about which type to get. We needed something good that would be able to be cleaned easily, so the nice employee suggested the Duration paint with a matte type of finish. He said it was the second best paint that they offer behind Emerald. I purchased two gallons with two completely different colors, which would be more than enough paint for the two rooms. Now will come the fun part as we try to get paint on the walls, and not over everything else!

DC has some PaintCare program where local paint supply companies will accept your paint to dispose of instead of you having to go to Fort Totten trash site on Thursdays or Saturdays - and all Sherwin Williams locations seem to participate. Someone at another location said they're only supposed to accept 5 gallons of paint - although I didn't see that anywhere on the PaintCare site - but this location rolled out a cart to my car and helped me dispose of about 10 old cans of paint!

Let me just say... these bags are the unsung heroes of my life. The FRAKTA bags? Absolute workhorses. I use them in my office to haul giant bulk mail cartons to the postal center like I'm some sort of efficiency ninja. They swallow boxes whole and still have room to spare. I've also loaded them up with bulky art supplies, event materials, and let's be honest, the occasional "how did I accumulate this much stuff?" pile. They never judge. They just carry. The GÖRSNYGG bags are my go-to for grandkid gifting missions. Trips filled with IKEA treasures and surprise presents are now way easier and way more cheerful. I attended the IKEA - 40th Anniversary Celebration, which had a 80's theme…read more For the celebration they gave guests that had pre-registered a free welcome gift, and customers were treated to a free breakfast. There were charcuterie board making and knife skills workshops with food tastings, and prizes/giveaways throughout the day. At the FIKA Party: Let's Party like it's 1985! near the end of the day, there was free cake, a fashion show, and even an 80's trivia contest. After the events, I did some shopping, and grabbed some delicious Swedish meatballs from the IKEA cafeteria. I had a fun time!
