He has helped my family with several projects ranging from small Girl Scout patch projects, to home interior painting - matching my existing decor, to large, outdoor projects meant to last through wear, tear, and weather. The process are right and the people are friendly at Spectrum Paint. I'll take the customer service here over that of any other paint place I've walked into before. This is not my usual BM store since I live at the beach, but maybe it should be…read more Since I was in the area I needed to look for some chemicals to remove mold/mildew from an exterior area of my home. I found the designated parking lot to be clean and spacious on a weekday morning. As I approached the door a black gentleman was exiting as he assisted a customer with loading supplies in their car. He took the time to say hello. Once in the store I quickly located what I needed without the help of another clerk that had yet to see me. The man I passed at the door returned and immediately came to me to ask if assistance was required. After explaining the purpose of my visit he recommended none of their products. His recommendation was bleach and water on brick. So instead of a sale he honestly told me what he would do. Prior to leaving I looked around. The store although not big was clean, brightly lit and organized nicely. I also found the restroom that serves men and women clean with proper supplies. The clerk was correct on utilizing a home remedy, it cleaned off the mold perfectly at less cost. I would recommend the store and plan on using them again this Winter for an interior paint job.

He actually made a color swatch for us to use against our walls. We were able to go home and determine which color was best. We came back and he actually already had a premade gallon of the color we needed so he charged us a lower price. I will definitely be coming back here for any other paint we need. I needed a quart of paint to wrap up my remodel of my bathroom. I told Bryce, the employee that I need a quart of my last order. He said we don't have quarts in that paint so I said I'll take a gallon please. At about the same time a "regular" customer showed up because Bryce called him by his name and he basically ignored me until it was time for me to pay $60 for a gallon of paint. I go home, start painting and then find out the color doesn't even match. Maybe if he paid attention to what he was doing instead of helping the other customer he would of made the correct paint for me and wouldn't of wasted time, gas, and money!

Once I used the small sample, I started to update 2 bar stools. When I got to the 2nd one, I ran out of the sample and began painting with the quart I purchased from Sherwin Williams. This was Not a match. Their solution...contact the manufacturer not refund me because they are still learning how to mix stain. There was nothing wrong with the manufacturer's sample, they just didn't know how to match it. The guy who mixed it didn't appear confident, he initially told me it would take 24-48 hrs. but changed his mind. I guess he remembered how to do it. The lady I spoke to on the phone told me it didn't stay because it already had stain on it but why did it not stick to the sample stick they give you to mix the paint/stain? No stain on that. What a joke! I will never recommend a company that don't stand behind their work. Next time I will settle for the gallon at Home Depot!

We've used Showstopper Painting twice--with very different experiences…read more The first time was great. They painted our rental property efficiently and professionally. Although they were a bit pricey, the quality and service made it feel worth it. Because of that, we hired them again to paint the exterior and interior of an investment property. Unfortunately, this time around was a major disappointment. After carefully selecting a soft, off-white color called "Casa Blanca," we were shocked to walk in and see the entire interior painted bright white--walls, ceilings, and trim. It turns out the painters misunderstood the color name as "white house" and painted everything white. A simple confirmation call or text would have avoided the mistake. To try to make it right, they offered to paint the bathroom (which I had originally planned to do myself). I placed the correct paint can by the door--yet they still painted the bathroom white. They did eventually come back to correct that error. There was also overspray left on the windows, which they did eventually come back to clean, but only after being asked several times. We chose not to have them repaint the entire interior, but it was disappointing. The lack of communication between the supervisor and the crew was obvious and frustrating. Sadly, we won't be using Showstopper Painting again. There are plenty of painters out there who charge less and communicate better. We expected the same great service as our first experience, but this second time really missed the mark.
