Well that was easy. Floor & Decor made finding and buying tile and flooring ridiculously easy. We brought some pictures with us of what we had in mind for our new bathroom and the knowledgable salesperson took us to where we needed to be and spoke to us about the pros and cons of the various types of materials and styles. We learned more in 30 minutes than from all of the books and magazines we poured over for weeks. In addition, F&D is used to working with contractors, so they're open early (7 am) to accommodate. The prices are competitive with anything we saw at Home Depot or Lowe's and the stock, quality, knowledge, and overall service was 1000% better. We made our entire purchase on the spot and they loaded up my truck within 20 minutes. Any material we don't use can be returned for full refund. Pretty awesome. Great inventory of selections. So many choices for flooring I had a difficult time deciding on which one to choose. Employees on the floor were very helpful I appreciate them. Why I dislike the PRO team (contractor had me to meet with him at the counter in the back)the personnel at the desk were not professional I pad over 1600.00 for flooring and had a couple of boxes that were not used. I didn't have the receipt but I had my paperwork with the transaction. Clerk gave me a difficult time but when she matched up the credit card information she saw that I had indeed paid for the flooring. I am not in the business of defrauding establishments. The PRO team needs to check their attitudes and its not like the contractors received a discount when their clients buy the products! read more

Cannot recommend Earl D. and this store enough. The store had a great selection and everything in stock ready for pick up. Earl was so wonderful to work with. Greeted us right when we entered the store. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. But on top of that he pushed our cart around for us (we had the baby and a stroller the baby didn't want to ride in), took pictures of tile samples with our phone for us to help us visualize what it would look like and ensures our product got in our truck safely. This has been my week for navigating southest/mid-Atlantic Floor and Décor stores. As a repeat customer, I thought I'd pop into the Greensboro, NC store (closest, but 25 miles away), pick up some basic 13x13 black and white tiles, and begin my project. When I arrived, there were three salesmen on the floor and one of them (Josh) openly said he didn't want to be working. The other two were hard at work. After some encouragement from the cashier, Josh acquiesced and took me to the black 13x13 tiles that I'd hoped to purchase. When I asked about the white tile, Josh led me to 12x24 white tile. No.. that's not going to work. I finally went back to the cashier (who was also doing her job of checking out customers) and she explained the tile I was planning to buy was discontinued and widely unavailable. I could drive to Virginia Beach, Alexandria, Va. or Charleston, SC for the tile. I left Greensboro empty-handed. Upon getting home, I called four other North Carolina stores (within 100 miles of me) just to see if they might have the tile. None of the locations answered the phone and my calls were cut off after the tenth ring. Upon online review, I saw their stores listed "O" inventory as well as zero customer service to callers. I considered ordering the tile online for direct shipment to my home. However, the $118 tile carried an additional shipping fee of $244. Nope... My next call was to corporate Customer Service who did, in fact, answer the phone. A very kind representative confirmed that the tiles were only available in those locations, that Floor and Décor does not ship inventory between stores, and they use a 3rd party carrier who establishes their own fees. At this point, I decided to spend a Saturday driving to Virginia Beach for what I'd decided would be my last Floor and Décor project. When I arrived at the store (following a four-hour road trip) I did everything but collapse on the first salesperson and beg for help... okay, I did beg for help. And the wonderful young lady was everything one would need to save their day. Within ten minutes, Christine (a Floor and Décor designer, a salesperson beyond compare who hoisted heavy boxes that Josh back in Greensboro would never have touched, and basically, a goddess) had equipped me with tile, grout, spacers, and a new vision of what customer service might mean at Floor and Décor. Her helpfulness, professionalism and friendly demeanor might just have made me a return customer again... maybe not an eight-hour drive return customer... but I'd consider going to a closer store. The selection is good. Much better than home Depot. I lke how I can touch the tiles. The bad part... The staff is new and they don't know about the tile. I specifically asked if the marble I wanted to buy is ok for a shower floor. They said yes. Got home. Started to think about it and thought... Bet it's not ok. So I called the 800 number. The said not a good idea. So the staff doesn't know the product. Be careful They can ring you up on the floor and all you do is go pay. That's helpful. And they help you load the stuff in your car. Just do yourself a solid and look at the little display card. It tells you where you can place the tile... Kinda. read more

I was in search of color-specific waterproof vinyl flooring for a bathroom. Mr. Earl Dennis of the Virginia Beach store did not hesitate to steer me in the right direction. Wait times here for contractors is ridiculous. Reason I was given was "1/2 our employees are off for holiday break". That break being Easter. Regardless of holiday, that's poor store mgmt. He knew exactly what I was talking about and offered excellent advice. He didn't try to oversell or up sell because we discussed my budget. Basically SHOVED out of there. Went on a Saturday afternoon (3:15 PM). Four if the five aisles I wanted to see were blocked off. When I went to the fifth, I was told I needed to exit that row so they could add more stock. When I said "How can I shop of something when I can't even look at it?" I was told "If we don't put it out, you can't buy it." Just my opinion, but I would think you would stock the shelves when the store was closed. I am rather judicious with my praise and reviews, but I have to share this one today. What a gem of a resource with such a positive friendly staff. Clearly there is some good energy trickling down from store management there. Robert was helpful and clearly vested in my needs. I was covering a long list of needs to fill as I finish up several renovations in the house I am about to sell and the detached workshop (reads primo man cave). The store is bright, well lit, spacious, and huge. I really liked the high ceilings so you wouldn't feel like inventory was about to fall down on you. I'm sure you've been in an orange box store with narrow aisles and poor lighting like I have. There is something to be said when you stop to pass along some positive words about an employee and the Store Manager, Jackie, was all about hearing it herself first hand. What a delight to talk to her. That positive energy I mentioned before clearly comes from her. It showed. You can really hear the smile in her voice, despite everyone being Covid covered. I swear this company is run by nothing but a bunch of nit-wit morons. Their website is virtually impossible to use, you call a store and nobody answers (after 6 calls over a weeks time), they have a third party carrier and want to charge me $324.00 (to residence or ship to store) for 4 boxes of LVT tile. The cost of the tile is $207.00. How does this shitshow of a business survive? They have ZERO customer service, a bunch of idiots handling their website, have zero stock. Out of 5 tiles I chose, after picking one and them not having it, picking another, than another.... Un freaking believable! Do yourself a huge favor and drive right passed this dump and go somewhere who'll have at last 1 case of tiles on a shelf and you'll be way ahead of the game. Stopped by to find carpet squares and/or foam tiles for my classroom since they are called Floor & Decor. Unfortunately, they did not have them or anything relatively close that I could've used. Wish they had more options aside from tile and whatever else. All the staff members were super sweet & helpful. Multiple employees were willing to help and they weren't afraid to ask others for input. They even suggested where I could find what I was looking for, which is nice instead of being uptight about me not spending money there. Store is clean and very well lit! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My husband and I purchased wood flooring and no longer can use the floors. We purchased them past 90 days and knew this was a long return period so we brought in one box to see if they would let us return them. Donna, the cashier processed the return on a gift card per their 90-day return policy. Because of that we were told we could return the rest for store credit. So we hauled 65 boxes into the store and were then told we can't return them as it's over 90 days, regardless of the policy and not even for store credit. The manager on duty, Danielle Gillmore, was exceptionally unhelpful, rude and offered absolutely nothing for a solution. Said there was nothing she could do, even though it was her employees she's poorly managing, that told us we could return them. The return policy clearly states anything after 90 days will be returned for store credit. Floor and Decor isn't honoring their own return policy, operating with poorly trained employees with incompetent, useless "managers" Not to mention, the same incompetent manager, Danielle, also told us these floors were discontinued, they're not able to be purchased or ordered anymore. This too, was incorrect. They're actually still available for purchase / order. read more

Andi Bunting does customer plans for those that request it. I am one of them. We provided her with a drawing and pictures of the proposed walk in bathroom. She studied these plans methodically. She would ask questions to clarify and understood what we meant. At the end, she suggested a group of tiles, that would flow with our current settings. She was on target! She calculated the amount of tiles, mortar and a cool glittery grout that would add that additional Pop to make the entire room stand out. My hats off to her. Went to check out this new place. Pricey but a lot of options. Would be nice if the bathrooms had a changing table and hooks behind the door. No one likes to have to go all the way back to the car to change a diaper or put you purse: bag on the floor to pee... totally not spending money here since my family is not accommodated. Families shop for house stuff this is disappointing. As far as the reply below this is untrue! I didn't talk to anyone in the store and tried to call about my issue but it went to voicemail or a recording stating no one was available, hence why I turned to yelp. I had a wonderful experience at floor and decor this week. It's so clean, easy to see product, everyone is very knowledgeable and helpful! The customer service is wonderful- especially Wendy in the warehouse! I placed an order of 200 sq ft of tile to be stored, and picked up at a later date. When I went to pick it up, I missed the pick up window, but everyone was very accommodating. Wendy was still in the warehouse and loaded an entire load into the back of my SUV with no help! First time visit. I walked in to this huge store, grabbed one of the well designed carts and was welcomed by Nicole Hudson, as I stopped to take it all in. She asked how she could help. I wanted an overview of the store and told her what I was looking for. She lead me over to the different things I had asked about. Her knowledge base on the product was excellent. She found the floor tile I wanted elsewhere for less. There was a little accident with one of my tiles. She totally took care of it.
