I then asked what the smallest container size available was, since I only needed less than a tablespoon for a few touch-ups. I was told the smallest size was a quart. When I asked about the cost, I was told it would be $11. I went into the store yesterday, and they told me the paint chip I brought in wasn't large enough to match. Since my apartment complex purchases their paint from the store, I asked if they could look up the formula and mix a quart based on that information. They were able to do that. However, when they rang up my purchase, the total came to $37 instead of $11. I was surprised and said, "I was told it would be $11," to which the manager responded, "Oh, did you want a sample?" "When I called, I asked what the smallest amount would be to get a paint match. I was told a quart" The manager replied, "The samples are the same size, a quart, but the sheen won't match. Did you want a sample?" I replied, "I need the paint to match the existing walls, so if the sample won't match, I need whatever paint will match." I left with a quart of paint for $37, and felt taken advantage of as I paid and walked out of the store. I'm still upset about it. On the plus side, the two men were both friendly and attentive and focused on providing the correct paint that would do the job, and I must say the paint is a perfect match. However, I felt duped. I was told the nail holes would not be deducted from my security deposit, but because of one faulty Command strip, the one that pulled a nickel size chip of the paint with it, I felt it needed to be touched up in that spot. I don't think my deduction would have been more than $25-$50, and now regret that I didn't just leave without the paint. I resent when I am quoted one price and then charged a higher price...in this case 236% higher than the quote. I have already told several people what happened, and my lesson learned is to confirm upon arrival at the store the quoted price for the product.

Buyer beware if you purchase a BBQ here…read more I purchased a Charbroil Commercial Series Grill and Griddle Combo where Lowe's will put it together and deliver to your home for free because the purchase price was greater than $400. Sounds good so far. They deliver my grill and the griddle has some kind of industrial grease on it. Please note that this is not part of seasoning the griddle as Lowe's does not preseason griddles before delivering. The delivery guys agree that this is strange and they take it back and arrange for another one to be delivered. The second grill and griddle show up with the exact same problem so I send it back again. I get a call from Lowe's asking for clarification on why I keep sending back the grills so I tell them and the rep says she will make a note in the system to make sure when they are putting the grill together that this problem does not happen a third time. Get a call a few days later that it must be a manufacturer's defect as all the the griddles have this exact same problem. Please note that as of a month later Lowe's still has this same BBQ on the floor for sale. I now have to completely cancel the order and get a refund but as multiple departments are involved I keep getting referred to someone else as the person to help me but that person keeps referring me back to the first person. After spending multiple days waiting for the delivery and time on the phone with them I have spend the better part of a day and I still don't have a BBQ. You would think that after all this someone at Lowe's management would call me and try to offer me a good deal on another BBQ but I have never heard anything from them.

Even though it's my landlord's job, when one doesn't comply, you take the matter into your own hands and take action. I had told my son to go to this Ace Hardware store and look for a nice, new, white toilet seat. So, he went yesterday around 5pm, and was helped by a very nice employee. He can't remember his name. Ace has always been our go-to hardware store. Too bad they close early. We have one in Studio City, but the prices and selection were not vast and were a bit pricy. It truly varies from one location to the next. They also have sale/discounted items every now and then. So with that being said, he bought a new toilet seat. Exactly what I had in mind. White, comfortable and new. Not too comfortable, or else I would fall asleep on it:-)) Not joking. I was even thinking to get the one that is soft and has a cushion. Store was very clean, well organized according to their items and also fully stocked. All he paid was $42.00, not including tax. They have many other appliances for gardening, home, and also a nursery. I can go on and on and on. I am a loyal customer of Ace, and we have bought a lot of stuff form them for our house in the past. So now, I can sit on this toilet without thinking that I am going to fall in it. Thank you all Ace Warehouses. For your dedication, loyalty and great customer service. They have parking, accept most credit cards, and don't know if they have restrooms or not.
