Stephanie walked right up to me as soon as I came up to the counter with a big smile and asked if she could help me. This was at 12:40 PM. She took the information and sent my order to the master paint mixer in back. I paid for the paint, walked around for what seemed to be only a few minutes, and at 1 PM Stephanie brought my 2 quarts of custom mixed paint to me! Only 20 minutes from the time I walked in the door until I walked out. Now that's service! Everyone there was so nice and extremely helpful. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! P.S. Inconsistent paint and poor customer service - stay away…read more I ordered a gallon and two quarts of Portola paint for a project at home. Their website and labels emphasize "handcrafted" and "batch-mixed" for consistent color, so I expected everything to match. Unfortunately, the two quarts were noticeably different from the gallon right out of the cans. The color variation was clear on the wall and made the whole area look patchy and uneven. I called customer service and spoke with a representative named Dolce. She told me it was my responsibility because it "has to be batch-mixed" and basically blamed me for not knowing that. After some back-and-forth they did refund the paint, which I appreciate. The problem is that the refund doesn't fix the real issue: I now have to repaint the entire wall, hire help, and spend more time and money trying to find a color match that actually works. The hassle and extra expense are significant. For the premium price they charge, I expected much better consistency and support. I won't be buying from Portola again.

UPDATE: PORTOLA LIED in their response about disclosing the outrageous shipping cost! I would NEVER have paid such an outrageous sum to ship from So Cal to Nor Cal!
