Maycielo is such a helpful positive vibes person. She's just great! Makes sure you have what you need for a good job

Maycielo was disrespectful, dismissive, and unprofessional, making me feel unwelcome and humiliated. I've had an account for 10 years. Her comments and behavior appeared to single out immigrants, raising concerns that I may have been treated differently because of my background or immigration status. First time dealing with her at this store but I urge management to investigate, and determine whether respectful and nondiscriminatory standards were followed. Every customer deserves dignity, fairness, and respect, regardless of background or immigration status. I know this would not happen in another Dunn Edwards. read more

May is delightful, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Her spirit is contagious, making it a pleasure to do business in the Encino store. Whatever your painting needs, Dunn Edwards Encino will serve you well. Highly recommend!! read more

The service by that Asian/black older lady was very unprofessional. Last week kept trying to rush me to pick a color for my sons room. I ended leaving and looking for another store on my phone in my car. I then see the same "manager" smoking with a man waiting for her in a big black truck. I was shocked to see that she just rushed me out to smoke with her husband. Very unprofessional. read more

The Good: Usually good parking and convenient to Sherman Oaks + Encino Residenz. Good selection of Paint, Brushes ect. The Bad: Kind of unfriendly Manager, specially if it comes to dropping of old paint or asking to match a paint chip. If you don't come in as a contractor and need more guidance you might receive some attitude from behind the counter. Just brace yourself. read more

DUNN-EDWARDS PAINTS in Encino is easy to find and easy to get into. They have their own free parking lot with plenty of available spaces. The people are friendly and helpful, but did not hover. I was able to take my time choosing the right shade of "white". Boring, I know, but I was surprised by how many there are. I was able to narrow down my choices and take home the card samplers to show my contractor, who was then able to get small samples for testing. Very convenient. My project is done and I am very happy with the way the color turned out. Now that it's time for another painting project... read more

I had amazing service at Dunn-Edward's in Encino. May was so helpful she made the experience. The service and people were exceptional. I went back today and Gabriela was very helpful too. This place is customer service oriented and efficient. I highly recommend. read more

I can't recommend this store. A fter reviewing my purchase receipt, I was charged .60 for the paint care fee. I was not told about this charge before it was added to my bill. Paint care is a fee paid to recycle old paint. Both of the cans I brought in were dried up and could have been put in my black container, so I resent paying anything for this store to recycle empty cans. While .60 isn't a lot of money its the fact the store failed to advise me of the fee before adding it to my bill. This store is on Ventura Blvd and has minimum parking so I had to wait in the parking lot for another customer to leave so I could park my car. If you like Dunn Edwards paint I recommend another store. read more

Who Manages this place?? Or rather where is the management? . I feel so sorry for the one salesperson who is busy like crazy on a Saturday with no help. She is terrific and helpful but there is only so much one can do when you aren't given support. The line of customers are kept waiting too long. We came in to get samples and it took much to long to complete our sake tho no fault of hers. She simply is too busy. Very efficient and customer-service oriented, but much too much for a single person. Shame on her boss. Hire more people. It's irritating for your customers. And bad business. You know you are going to be busy on a Saturday. And it took me until now to mention that the store has a good selection of paint colors and tools. Hence the four instead of two star review. If you had more ppl working would have been five stars. read more

This is my least favorite Dunn edwards's location out of the stores that we frequent as contractors. Have experienced numerous color matching issues and I''ve found the service to be better (knowledge, experience, speed) at other locations as well. They have a good selection of sundries and airless sprayer accessories read more

Such great customer service! Everyone is so friendly and helpful in there. I'm not a painter by any means but decided to test my skills at painting my bedroom. Everyone at Dunn Edwards was so informative and nice about helping me out. I highly recommend this location read more

Great service! Buying paint is one of my least favorite things to do of all time. The staff here made the process quick, easy, and fun. They made some great suggestions and I am excited that I've found my new regular paint store! read more

Beyond nice and helpful. This is how all stores should operate. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I work at a school and for the past couple of years this store has always been kind to donate recycled paint to our art students. I was there yesterday, and May helped me above and beyond my expectations. Not only was she professional, but her costumer service was impeccable. If you need paint or paint supplies this is the store to go to! (Visited the store on October 28) Thank you May! :-) read more

Great service. Employee was very patient and helpful in finding the right color. I would recommend the Agoura location.

I will never go to buy paint at Home Depot, Lowe's or OSH again! Dunn Edwards has a full-time interior design specialist that helped me with the daunting task of picking out paint for the entire interior of my home. Dilni was incredibly helpful, patient and beyond knowledgeable on colors, design aesthetics and products. She alone has won me over and I'll forever be a Dunn Edwards loyal customer! The rest of the team at this location, especially Ed, were incredibly informative, professional and a joy to work with. I had to make a few repeated visits and they never ceased to smile and welcome me back and be ready to help. read more

I was very impressed with the color advisor for Dunn-Edwards Paints - Encino, Dilini Peiris. She is a good listener, thoughtful, offered excellent suggestions, and followed through. This sort of customer service is greatly appreciated and a standout. read more

Long story to the point - Moved from an apartment short of 700 sq.ft to one short of 1300 sq.ft The Color specialist informed us on prices, styles, the works on Thursday. We found a color which suited us elsewhere, but brought the swatch back to Dunn, due to the fact of the quality of paint not being up to Dunn's standards. The price point of the Everest line is BEYOND my liking. Walls were painted the following day. No smell. Lays on even. Of course, do your prep sanding and sponge. That helps this paint prevail to its higher potential. Nothing short of great staff. Great help. Color matching. Kinda rough going to Home Depot getting somebody who isn't involved. This place is involved. read more

Convenient location but beware they ONLY carry black & white colors for oil-based paint. Even tho they're a paint store. The girl was nice enough to call in the order to the Sepulveda store as a "courtesy" order so it would be waiting for me when I got there but it wasn't...don't think they had even started it...and they were realllllllllllllllllly slow. And the store was empty! read more

I just cannot believe the service that I received from May. This company is so lucky to have a person like her who really cares about her job and the people she serves. I love this store because of her. read more

Vinicio was incredibly helpful, professional and knowledgeable. The store is so incredibly clean and well kept. I will always use Dunn Edwards. read more

I have to join the chorus of voices complaining about the rude manager. I was quoted one price on the phone and when I came it to buy the paint he charged me a different price, 30 percent higher. Said he wouldn't honor the price because I didn't have it in writing - on a phone order. Wouldn't work with me at all, which is strange considering there is a 30 percent off coupon here on yelp. Waste of time and dishonest practices. read more

Very rude unprofessional people. I was there on Saturday 29 at this store. 2 people working and the I told the guy (I think he was a store manager) that I need help and he said he will come back to me soon. First costumer left and he start doing something else. I was looking at him and he clearly ignored me. I went to my car, front of the store to grab something. In a minute back inside he was taking to another costumer. When I ask I was here before, he started b***ting about he does not have any enough help here and I saw another employee was sitting in the back do nothing. I was about to order paint for 3 units and I will take my business somewhere else. Never back to this store. read more
