High quality paints, big sale this Friday 7/26/24, 35% discount, fits perfectly into our painting plans. I signed-up as a customer, gives me a 10% discount, can't beat that. Can hardly wait to see how beautiful our bathroom will look decked-out in fresh colors. Sherwin-Williams is also one of the very highest rated paints available. Ordered Cashmere paint online. Took over 25 hours before i made a phone call to find the paint will be mixed in 10 minutes ... honestly think my order got lost or forgotten. Other than that, the store is nice, and staff is friendly, cashmere paint should be fine, trying to support other than home depot ... just wondering why my order was forgotten? read more

Our HOA used Kelly-Moore paints for 40 years. However, as they have closed their doors, it was time to select a new paint brand for our homeowners. Many of our owners have experience with Sherwin-Williams, so it made sense to check out SW products. The store manager, Victor Quintero, noticed me trying to match paint chips to some paint swatches and he asked if he could help. Victor took the samples and used a color calibrator to quickly match seven different colors. He then explained the different finishes and grades of paint available before opening an account for our HOA which will enable our owners to buy paint at a discount. All this sounds very professional... because it is. Victor was friendly, patient, and truly committed to meeting our HOA's needs. I drove home and compared the SW paint chips to the seven different paint colors on homes in our neighborhood. No surprise... they all matched. I recently had an excellent customer service experience here. And with more than one employee!! Courteous and caring people who helped me receive the best discount available for my some what large order. As the best deal was a day later one employee took my order and input it in the computer so the next time I returned it would save some time. He called the next day to remind me of the sale dates. As I couldn't make it that day I told him I would be there the day after, his day off it turns out. He assured me the next person who would wait on me would be prepared to make the transaction quickly. That person happened to be the manager-I know because I asked to speak to the manager to compliment one of his employees. Another caring individual who was clearly proud of his store thanked me for the recognition and quickly filled my order and took it to the car for me. I stopped in on a Sundy just to pick out paint samples. I was met by Victor. He was very engaging. Asked me questions about my project and offered his help with all of my concerns. I wasn't planning on buying my paint here. I was just too lazy to drive to Home Depot to get samples. Due to my interaction with Victor I returned several days later to buy my paint. I later learned that Victor is the manager of this Sherwin-Williams. I will forever be a customer of this location. My second review is for Isaiah , assistant manager. When I returned yesterday to purchase my paint I was greeted by Isaiah. He was very knowledgeable and very helpful. He guided me thru my paint options and roller options. I am now set up for a no fail painting experience. This is a sincere thank you to the great staff there at the Belmont Sherwin-Williams store! I made 4 trips over two days getting great advice about colors and finishes and dealing with my painting contractor. They had a lot of practical advice which really helped, answered all my questions, and spent all the time I needed. Side note: If you're dealing with a recalcitrant contractor, remember that it is YOUR house and YOU are the customer and YOU pick the colors and finish that YOU want--don't be bullied around or let them tell you they can't do something or that such and such can't cover or that their commercial grade paint is every bit as good, etc... some advice may be fine but some are trying to use paint from other jobs, cheaper paint, mark up material costs, etc. If you're an honest painter and I've ticked you off, I apologize--this is not directed at you! :c) read more

One word: Nina! I was referred to her while at the commercial Sherwin Williams store in Redwood City, and they were 100% right. I was planning to repaint my living room but was feeling lost in the color selection process. If you are confused by, bad at or insecure about choosing colors, call this store and make an appointment with Nina. She helps you narrow things down quickly and explains why colors work as they do. Plus, she's really fun to talk to. After meeting with Nina I became more aware of my lifelong love for softer marine colors. When I walked into her store, I'd gotten off track and wasthisclose to using colors that may not have given me the feeling I *really* wanted. I'll be going back in this week to buy the paint for the living room project. I bought samples and lived with them for a while before making my decision. I really do love the quality of the paint. However, on this day I went to pick up paint that I had purchased online. The individual behind the counter ignored me even though the person he was helping was really just shopping - my presence was not acknowledged. Worst of all, this individual was not wearing a mask, and I ended up waiting outside because it did not feel safe at all. Eventually I got their attention and when they went to get my paint, they dropped it and dented the cans. No apologies given. I will shop somewhere else, unless until COVID is over. This store is not a safe place to be. read more

I am very disappointed with the Sherwin Williams Store in Belmont. Actually I am really pissed ! I went there last Saturday to get a specific paint for my deck project. They told me they don't have it and it will need to be ordered, which was absolutely fine with me. They told me it will be here to be picked up the following Saturday, meaning today. I went there at 10am (they are suppose to open at 8am) and the store is just closed. There were two other customers on the parking lot who were also upset, that it was closed and no sign in sight about why it is closed. I called the store to leave a voice mail, but it never got me to a voicemail option. It just kept ringing. This is the opposite of what I call good customer service !!!! Definitely the last time I do any business with that store. So it should be a 0 stars from me but on yelp you have to give at least one. Seems like other people had bad experience about their "variable opening hours" before. 'just don't know how a business like that can survive.... read more

I'm not one to complain about customer service but I wouldn't advise stopping by on a Saturday if you want any help whatsoever. I basically wasted 30 minutes in a practically empty paint store because the male employee working didn't even acknowledge our presence. If you want to stop by to just see paint colors it's a good option. Recommendation: Hire more employees or at least somewhat attentive ones! read more

I am currently changing the colors in every room in my house and I have been working with Nina Rafidi at Sherwin Williams Paint Belmont. Nina has a good eye for color and a good color sense. She has helped me find the right color for numerous rooms so far and all she asks is that you buy the paint through her at the Belmont Sherwin Williams Paint on Ralston. Shout out to Nina Rafidi! She is a FANTASTIC colorist! Nina understands that all things such as lighting, flooring, time of day, and shadowing need to be considered when selecting a color. She has a lot of patience when working with you and gives you the time needed to get just the right look. After numerous tries, we finally decided on a color that was 200% of the color. Sometimes rather than selecting a color off the swatches, you need to darken the color you originally like. This is by far the BEST paint store I have ever been to in my 64 years !! We are painting the outside of our house. I went to two *name brand* paint stores in Redwood City where we live and didnt get the time of day. The Sherwin Williams in Redwood city was already closed on Saturday, so I drove up to the Belmont Store on Ralston Ave. The minute I walked in the door they said Hello to me. The store lay out is WONDERFUL!! They have lots and lots of paint samples and the store has sections to help you with every aspect of painting. It has sections for Prep Tools, Brushes, Rollers, and more. They make it very very easy to find what you are looking for and more..lol. Derek was the man who was working there when I went in. He was VERY helpful. He explained all about the paints and even advised me to join their Preferred Buyers club as they were having a 40% off sale the next weekend. The club is free and gives you lots of other perks too. GREAT INFO!! That saved us alot since we were buying 34 gallons of paint. Very good quality paint too!! We then had trouble picking out the colors to paint the outside of our house. So we made an appointment with Nina the manager of the store, who I now refer to as the Paint Goddess !! She is amazing !!! We were trying to match a paint color to a picture in one of their brochures. The brochure didnt list the color as pictures are always different then the exact paint. She gave us 3 samples and told of one of these will be a perfect match for the look you want. She was dead on. She also knew alot other aspects of painting our home and even helped us out with the bricks on the house and even the pebbled entrance. Her knowledge was truly amazing and soooo helpful. She even gave us ideas to refurbish our front door instead of buying a new one. Saving us lots of money on that for sure! This store is out of our way, but they will have our business forever !! I have painted many times. We've done inside and outside and some areas several times. I've been to Home Depot, Kelly Moore, Sherwin-Williams stores in different locations and Benjamin Moore (Grays - both locations) and I've always been helped by nice people but today raised the bar! I didn't even know what happened while it was happening but Nina was helping me and quickly was able to identify what I was looking for and to explain what my eye was drawn to, suggested options and sent me off with samples to try. I never had an experience like that before in a paint store. Usually I go in an pick out my own samples and sometimes find what I'm looking for. Rarely do I understand why something isn't working or why something works in one room but not another but today Nina helped me understand that better. Today was a game changer and a huge time saver.
