Nonetheless, spring is springing and I finally decided on a hose hanger to attach to my hose and I also needed washer fluid! Opposite spectrums, but I had hope! I think I've been in one ACE downtown once many moons ago, so I wasn't sure if the washer fluid would be here. I walk in and I'm greeted. It's the small things and my mind was already blown. I walk around. The stores a little tight, but I didn't mind... that gave me hope that the had what I needed. I don't make it 20 feet in and I already had a bag of potting soil in my hand. It will be used I promise. So I'm walking around, trying not to look lost and apparently I didn't do the best job, because an employee asked if I needed help. "Why Yes, kind sir" hose thingy that can attach. He knew what I was talking about pointed up and talked about a few and I saw one I liked and he grabbed it for me! Next mission washer fluid, which was super easy to find! I wandered around for a bit more and I have to admit I was super surprised! I walk to checkout and grabbed some mango hi-chews and the lovely lady upfront that greeted me checked me out and signed me up for the Ace rewards. She was sweet! I will be back! They had really cute planters and watering cans. They even had a paint center in the middle of the store ! If you are close by and needed anything to get the house spring ready, stop by!

It distressed me to see only one review on Yelp and it be so scathing. As for "professional, gentle painters," I just had what I thought to be one of those do some exterior work on my home. He actually stated before he began my project that he was "more of a perfectionist than I." I would love to have a picture of his face when I questioned the basis for his statement. Gentle and professional as he can't or may not be, I can now confidently demonstrate with examples the inaccuracy of his claim. In the past, my wife has had painting done in our home. It is my opinion that many residential spreaders of paint should advertise as such and refrain from the noble title of painter. I'm sticking with Budeke's and either hiring a profession, or applying quality product acquired from them myself.

Not that they weren't before, aside from the one-off, but recently employees are roaming the aisles intentionally looking for somebody to help. And I'm here for it!!! I've been Lowe's hopping trying to decide on paint colors for a Spring Refresh. Carl, in the paint shop, was especially helpful today! He walked me through my options and helped me decide based on interior/exterior, etc. It was a pleasant experience finally making those decisions and checking it off my list. Of course, I can't visit Lowe's without a visit to talk with the plants. The last Lowe's I visited didn't have many plants, but now that Spring has sprung, they're out! I didn't mean to buy six plants, but who can resist. Some were on clearance and my new fetish is buying cactus plants. AND, I had to buy something colorful to plant in front of the house. There you go. Done. Oh, and a monstera that I've been wanting. It was on clearance so, it doesn't really count. I don't think I'd been to this Lowe's before, but I like it. OH, did you know they have a section called "The Back Aisle"? It's like a clearance section for the whole store. I hadn't seen it before but found it on accident. One more thing for me to visit on my future Lowe's visits. Check it out.

Apparently they decided to close the Towson store instead I did grab some amazing deals at that time (so I got a jump on buying some of this year's special occasion gifts). The holiday display caught my eye & the prices listed at $3.99 each with engraving. I always get my kids each an ornament engraved & dated for each Christmas. I found several ornaments I liked but when I inquired about the price for engraving they said "1st word/letter=$10 & each letter thereafter was $3-$13 depending upon the word/symbol etc." Needless to say this years ornaments are being bought from a local artist who makes personalized Ches.Bay crab shells hand painted $15/ea and I met her last year & bought 2 and her work was incredible!! I'm going with the local artist for a few reasons 1. Support local business, 2. Her quality, price & professionalism can't be beat! Things Remembered is still my go to store for certain engravable items however the cost of the engraving is beginning to outweigh their convenience, quality & service. I'm planning a trip back there for an after the holidays sale and hope they have a great sale and discount on engraving. If their engraving was a little cheaper, I definitely would have bought extra items for everyone & our oldest child's upcoming wedding next year. Cleanliness 5/5 Variety of items 5/5 Price 3/5(engraving especially $$$$) Friendly staff 3/5 -staff used to greet you when entering & offer to assist you, not my experience this time and store had 1 other customer beside myself Not handicap friendly 1/5 -items are too packed in store for anyone in wheelchair, knee roller or crutches and orthopedic boot like I had to move around comfortably. This should be addressed immediately. I'm going to still give 5 stars for the fact that 1. They have unique items available for personalization. 2. Can sign up online and get sale coupons and alerts for sales. 3. If you find item in store & want large quantity they can order for you and still personalize. 4. Prices range from inexpensive to very expensive (something to fit everyone's price range)

He came to the site and texted me the next day with an estimate of $4,050, which we later agree in a final quote of $3,700 claiming to give me a "Military discount." I made a mistake of letting Jermaine Holland know that I was scammed by a contractor that supposed to do the patio before, and he pretended to be different... vouched that his company is not a scam. He stated that he will make sure that he (Jermaine Holland) builds my trust in black-owned small businesses again. I fell for it. He asked for $3000 upfront for materials, which I gave to him. After two weeks of asking him when the project will start, he finally answered my call with a yell on the phone, blaming me that it is because I did not give him his remaining amount ($700), that was the reason why the project hasn't started. I was calm and patient all the while because I did not want any uglier incident, and I sent him the remaining $700 that day (February 1, 2023). Jermaine Holland still did not let me know when the project will commence. I became worried. Jermaine Holland is very disrespectful, unprofessional, and insulting. He will send me video calls without notification or asking for permission. He will also come to my property without my knowledge, but I get to know through the camera I installed on the property. He refused to give a start date of the project and will yell at me whenever I asked him for the start date. Jermaine Holland is a racist and has made a racial slur severally when talking to customer and he did it to me as well. Jermaine Holland told me to go back to my Country and ask for the start date of my patio project. He now told me not to send him any more messages as he is not owing me anything... and this is after paying him $3700. He did not do the project neither did he refund my money. No one should be put in this kind of wicked situation. Please, stay away from this company.
