I never met a Lowe's I didn't like! And these days, I've noticed a shift. Lately, employees have been so helpful! Not that they weren't before, aside from the one-off, but recently employees are roaming the aisles intentionally looking for somebody to help. And I'm here for it!!! I've been Lowe's hopping trying to decide on paint colors for a Spring Refresh. Carl, in the paint shop, was especially helpful today! He walked me through my options and helped me decide based on interior/exterior, etc. It was a pleasant experience finally making those decisions and checking it off my list. Of course, I can't visit Lowe's without a visit to talk with the plants. The last Lowe's I visited didn't have many plants, but now that Spring has sprung, they're out! I didn't mean to buy six plants, but who can resist. Some were on clearance and my new fetish is buying cactus plants. AND, I had to buy something colorful to plant in front of the house. There you go. Done. Oh, and a monstera that I've been wanting. It was on clearance so, it doesn't really count. I don't think I'd been to this Lowe's before, but I like it. OH, did you know they have a section called "The Back Aisle"? It's like a clearance section for the whole store. I hadn't seen it before but found it on accident. Lowe's is my go-to for all of my gardening needs. The prices are competitive and the employees are friendly and obviously customer oriented. I have found many plants on the half-price racks that with only a little TLC have recovered and thrived. I bought two braided hibiscus trees last year which I potted and used to flank my front stairs. I was able to over winter them and they are alive and well this year! read more

I ordered a gas dryer and was told it takes 3 weeks to get it and deliver it. I thought that was okay and I paid for the purchase and delivery charge. Lowes chooses the delivery company. A month later, since we had not heard anything, my wife called customer care and we received an update that the dryer would be delivered between 2 and 5 on 4/10/26. At 4:30 on the 10th, I called the delivery service and they told me delivery would not occur until at least 6 pm. If I had not called, I would not have heard anything. I called Lowe's and their attitude was for me to take it up with the delivery service. The only conclusion I can arrive at is that Lowe's does not take ownership for the products it sells and the delivery service they contract with. I will never buy from Lowe's again. read more

One actually told me to just buy it and return it if it didn't work--seriously? No effort to check inventory or offer real advice. It felt like I was bothering them by even asking. I went in to to pick up an item and wasn't sure if it would fit in my car. I asked to see the item to judge if it would fit in my car and an employee named Cameron told me "I'm not carrying this out from the back unless you are taking it". I responded that I needed to see one and he said, "well you can go find one in the store" and when I asked where they were he responded "you can find it". I was shocked by Cameron's attitude and lack of customer service, my family member ordered the items from Home Depot where they helped us make sure it fit and were very helpful. read more

When I was living with my parents, Lowe's was my mother's go-to home improvement store. It's kinda of amazing how capable my mother can be. I can't remember ever being in a home improvement store with my father, nor have I ever seen him complete a project (especially if he has to return to the store to get something he just discovered he needed or he forgot). The anxiety would ratched up so high when he would decide to work on something. I like that women can go into Lowe's and be treated just like any other customer, and that a good percentage of their workforce is also female. I like not feeling out of place, or comfortable enough to find an employee and ask questions. I like feeling accepted and empowered. Their bathroom situation is fairly decent, too, which is always nice. Usually I have the whole place to myself, so I don't have to wait or fight for the accessible stall. That in itself can really raise my estimate of a retail space or restaurant. We usually find everything that we need - and then some - at this location. And when it's springtime? They have an incredible garden section: flowers, trees, shrubbery!, fruit plants, veg plants, herbs, beautiful things that I can't resist even though I live in an apartment and don't have a garden. I like this store, but usually go to Home Depot in Dundalk, cuz it's closer to where I live now and convenience is important. read more

Bought a washer n dryer with the ext warranty. I needed my washer fixed and called for service. They texted me to confirm the day before. I confirmed. I took a vacation day from work to be there. They called that morning said they would be there in 15 mins. They never showed. I tried calling but no answer. I got a text noon to hear they will be there the next day? I wish I could give this Lowe's store in White Marsh a 0 star, not a 1 star. - Placed order on May 27 for 50 lumbers and 15 5/8" drywalls. - This store delivered me 15 1/4" drywalls, and 10 damaged lumbers on May 30 - Called to schedule a return pick up, and earliest they have is June 6, I took that. Kept the wrong drywalls and defective lumbers on my driveway for a week. - Waited a whole day on June 6 for someone to come pick up, nobody show, no one call me from store. - Call the store next day to see what is going on. They did not know why nobody come to pick it up, and they wanted to reschedule another pickup day with earliest to be June 13. I agreed with them but I told them if no one come to pick up those items, I would have to dispose them because I dont have the space to store them week over weeks. - Waited a whole day on June 13 again, and still no one comes. I disposed them the next day. - Contacted Lowe's CSR multiple times (chat, phone) asking for refund. Every time I called a csr would said they created a report for my refund, and someone should contact me within 24 hours. And no one would ever call me. Then I had to call back to create another report. This keeps repeat for over 3 weeks until now. And no one from lowe's or the store have contact me. - I drove to the store on White Marsh and spoke to the Assistant General Manager Janet about this matter. All she said was that because they have not pick up the item, they will not refund. And she didnt even mention about their faults that they failed to pick up the items TWICE, and delivered wrong items. This is just ridiculous. This store and Lowe's customer service is horrible. Lowe's return policy is return with a receipt within 90 days. We wanted to return some sprinkler timers and we were within 60 days. We scanned our receipt in a PDF to keep records of purchases and in case of lost receipts. We arrive to customer service. Nicole begins to assist us and it went downhill from there with made up policies and reasons why she couldn't return the merchandise. 1. It wasn't in a box 2. The receipt wasn't the original receipt (even though it was a clear scanned receipt) 3. Every Lowe's store is different with different policies. I said fine. I said we will go print a hard copy of the receipt. "No the manager is requesting the original receipt", stated Nicole. 4. The manager who may or may not have actually been spoken to when Nicole said she went to the back, requested the original receipt (So Nicole said) So after Nicole was so rude with her made up policies we requested to speak with the manager. The store manager came to the register, looked at our SCANNED receipt, stated "she said you didn't have receipt." Then proceeded to do our return. Thank Mr Store manager (I wish I could remember his name ). He was so professional no question asking and just followed the real Lowe's policy. In May 2020, we went to Lowe's seeking to get storm door for the front of my home. We spoke to Erik Burriss at Lowe's of Whitemarsh. Erik completed the set up for someone to come out and measure. Store charged $25 for someone to give estimate! Was told someone would call us when they came out , over 2 weeks later, no call. I called store to see how much longer and was told estimate was already done. No one called and never knew anyone came. Went to store the same day because Erik tells us the door we picked would not work and we needed to pick another door. When we get there Erik act like he did not know why we were there! He then proceeds to tell us he could not sell us a door with no understandable reason! Another customer even tried to ask questions on our behalf and he was trying to. Keep her from offering ideas! It was really weird. Next day we contacted a different Lowe's took them the estimates and they offered us a door at a higher price because of extra work needed. Decided to try Home Depot. Got a free estimate, good quality doors for the front and back of my home. Was called when people were coming out to do estimate so we could be there. We knew doors had to be customized therefore we knew it would be a couple of weeks! However doors were in within 2 weeks, installed the next week! Beautiful beautiful job by Home Depot! (Changing from 1 star to 4) I placed an order for a Bosch dishwasher on July 1st through Lowe's. It was scheduled to be delivered on July 18th. I received a call the night before about delivery. It never came. We called and was told it had to be rescheduled. I received an email on July 19th stating the new date would be August 10th. (It didn't come) After calling both lowes & Bosch, The only person that helped was a manager named Pat. (She even dealt with my terrible attitude) As soon as the store was able to get the dishwasher I ordered, Pat called and my husband picked it up. I am highly disappointed with my experience purchasing an appliance at Lowe's. Lowe's never notified me that the delivery was going to be postponed. When I called to inquire about the delivery they gave me an attitude over the phone, explaining how it was the distributor's fault (which I understand, deliveries have been messy since covid) but there was no attempt at any service recovery. I had to reschedule the second delivery and was told by Lowe's to call their delivery company and the delivery company told me to call Lowe's (it needs to go through Lowe's, for the record). Apparently that reschedule request was improperly handled and the delivery service still tried to deliver on the wrong day. And finally, I was never made aware that my old appliance would need to be removed in order for them to haul away, so another pick up date needed to be scheduled. I understand that COVID19 has added a lot of pressure and issues with supplies and staffing for all stores, BUT....somebody at this store needs to be in charge of something. On my visit last, after a 20 minute in line at the lumber register the cashier told me that she can't ring one of my larger items because a scanning label is not on the item. Since no other option was offered, I explained that I had already waited in a long line and I really needed everything in my cart. After giving it some thought, she told me I could get out of line and wait on the side while she calls someone to find the item number. I asked how long she suggest I wait, she said "oh, it will be a while, because the store is really busy". I insisted on staying in line while she called for help and after some time, she agreed. Since I shop this store offen, I know that the regular cashier at this station, Ms. Gloria, has always found everything I have ever brought to her in this same book. This cashier without really looking just flipped the book back and forth and said, I don't think it in here! Eventually, she made the call and very quickly a parking lot loader appeared who found the item number which allowed me to purchase all my intended items. I loaded my things in my car while the lot attended stood close by talking to another employee. I then returned inside the store to take a piece of twine to keep my trunk from flapping open and closed because of my overloaded car, but the outside cart at the lumber department was unfilled and left empty. I was told by the lot loader that the front door had a cart that I could use to cut some twine. I went to the front door and found that this cart was also completely empty, just like the other cart. I asked an employee where I could find a small piece of twine and I was directed to customer service. After waiting in another long line, the cashier at customer service called for someone to supply the cart and asked me to wait by the cart. After what appeared to be a long time I went back inside and found the employee, in charge of filling the cart, helping other customers. I asked if he was going to look for the items for the front carts, he said, sorry we don't have anything in the stock room..... I guess he forgot to come back and let me know. Since my car was loaded I had no choice to now go back in to buy twine. The hardware department had plenty of various kinds of rope and twine that some could have been used for the front carts but, who am I to argue. Why give away something, when you can make a buck selling it, even for paying customers who only need a few small inches to be safe when driving off with large items. It took the cashier a long while trying to measure the small piece of twine I had because even though the item number was clearly noted by the hardware department, she had no way of measuring such a small piece, but eventually, she found a way to charge me .43 cents. After I finally tied down my trunk and left, I took the time to call the store manager to let her know about my issue. Her response was,....due to the COVID19 we are not able to fill all the required supplies. I explained that the exact twine usually on the front carts is for sale in the hardware department and that to make things safe for the customers, they should perhaps supply a small amount of twine for paying customers or have it available so they can safely carry the items home. The appliances wasn't delivered on the date provided by the sales clerk (same date depicted on the receipt) - no problem. The issue is no one contact me to inform me the delivery would be delayed. Was here with a friend our cart toppled over directly in front of customer service where not one employee standing there or working behind the counter did anything accept roll their eyes. They couldn't be bothered to call for assistance or offer help. The only reason I gave two stars is the cashier who was wearing a training badge that checked out my friend was very friendly, kind listened to our issue and assisted us in speaking with a manager. I was recently in the market for a new set of power tools for an automotive job I needed to be done and because I heard of some supposed "good deals" at Lowe's I decided that I'd start my selection at this location. As soon as I arrived inside the store I went straight to the power tools section and began browsing the offerings. After some time I needed assistance on warranty info and pricing and recommendations however there was nobody in the area to speak to at least not in a reasonable amount of time. When there was somebody there, the few times I attempted to ask for assistance was met with complete ignorance that I was even doing so. The two employees were standing off in the section having a conversation with themselves and didn't offer any advice nor assistance. This lead to me becoming pretty frustrated as my time was being wasted and I probably would have purchased a kit but due to the lack of competent or professional customer courtesy I decided it might be a much better idea to head to another pretty well known home improvement store (not naming names but I bet most of us reading know where I went). Now I understand that covid-19 has probably put a strain on operations but two employees completely ignoring a paying customer is terrible customer service. It was my first time shopping at a Lowe's ever and I'm not sorry to say that I will not be coming back to this location. I just left the store and the nice person in the paint offered to shake my stain in the machine. But on the drive home the kid was not secure enough. I proceeded back to the store because I lost the stain and two other items in the bag due to the spill. It was a mess. While doing the return nobody said the are sorry or anything close to it. They have a great selection of outdoor items and flowers for spring and summer. I also love the Christmas spread they have and all of the awesome blowup. You need to take a refresher course in this since contractors cull the wood themselves and normal consumers may not find the best of the best. I wish there was a Home Depot at this location instead of a Lowes. There, I said it. They are ok if you know what you are doing. And the people at the garden center seem really nice. But a vast majority of the time, I find the rest of the workers aren't helpful for anything more than telling me the in-store location of whatever product I'm looking for. I almost ordered wood blinds from here, but when I took my estimate sheet home I noticed she had set them up for an inside mount, which I know I was clear to her in saying I did not have enough clearance to install that way. Then twice we asked different employees for help in a section where they keep their dehumdifiers and no one ever showed up. Also, I almost bought a can of paint that was completely incorrect with the swatch I gave them, but thankfully the line to pay was soo slow that I noticed the sample painted on top did not dry to anything near the color I had wanted. They couldn't make it. To be fair though, the sample card was for another brand of paint they don't carry (no, they cannot color match EVERYTHING). After several interactions this past year, I think I've gone in at least 20 times, but I only liked one lady working at the paint section, another obviously knowledgable lady working in the garden section, and one that helped me at the customer service counter that went out of her way to locate an online order. So good employees do exist here, they're just a dime a dozen. I also agree with others in saying their selection is lacking. But I do like that I can order online and pick it up at the store. read more

There are 2 Home Depot's within 5 minutes of our house -- whereas this Lowe's is 15 minutes away. Point being, I have much more experience at Home Depot. However, I've purchased a fair amount of stuff from this Lowe's either because we happened to be in the area already, or Home Depot didn't carry exactly what we were looking for (2 specific things I can recall were a handful of flush mount LED ceiling lights and 4 ceiling fans with pretty specific requirements). I purchased 3 identical ceiling fans. 1 developed an issue a week later. Could have been many things; but I didn't really want to futz with it. I called Lowe's Customer Support to inquire about swapping out the fan. They immediately sent my info to the Lowe's Store Manager who sent me an email the following morning asking for me to bring in the fan and he'd swap it out. I did so and now I have a functional fan. I asked the customer service about the $6 dollar difference and Jarae the cashier said there was nothing she could do.
