Three employees with no customers in the appliance department made us feel like intruders. None of them wanted to help - they were just talking, one sitting on a washing machine telling personal stories so I don't know why they were so unhelpful. One of them finally came and sort of "answered" our question but didn't really know and kept glancing away back at his friends obviously wanting to get back to talking to his fellow employees. We gave up and went to Home Depot to buy our appliances. I will never consider Lowes for future appliance purchases.

Anyway, Lowes doesn't install anything even though you pay Lowes to do it The subcontract out the work to a company who subcontracts out the work. Not only did the subcontracts subcontractor damage our brand new dishwasher, the also danaged our cabinets, and left half inch razor sharp metal objects sticking out of the space between the dishwasher and the cabinets on each side. Used zip ties to clamp off our kitchen sink water supply damaging the faucet and left us with no kitchen water. And finally half way thru the job scammed my wife out of another $150 in cash saying they needed it to finish the job. All in we paid Lowes the $150 to install and had to add in another $$150 to the inept crew and $100 to an emergency plut to get water going again. Now Lowes has agreed to reorder the dishwasher after extensive heated arguments and they denied any responsibility, but told me they would notify the sub contractor who would talk to the subcontractors subcontractor. I have spoken with the subcontractor and got a lot of we understand and we are sorry and we will make it right but time will tell In the meantime the company I originally paid to do the job (lowes) was unapologetic and stood solid that they weren't at fault. Proceed with caution with them they clearly don't vet the contractor or the subcontractors at all, and hold themselves harmless for screwing you over.

    Morgan's has been my go-to hardware store for the last year now. They're always quick to offer help…read morewhen I arrive and have given good advice on items for various projects. They have a pretty extensive garden section and I've never had issues with pests in their plants (which was a problem with the other garden shop I was using). I even attended a ladies night event and was able to snag some good deals! We used Ace when our Stihl blower stopped working and had it back as good as new within the week. We had accidentally been using the wrong fuel mix, and Tony helped point out the correct one to help it run better for longer. We will definitely use Ace again for our future projects!

However over the last year we have noticed a terrible attitude with customer service and helping you find what you need without an attitude! Today 2 of us were in this store looking to spend between $450.00 and $700.00 on a new gas powered lawn mower. Four employees in store doing nothing , 2 in paint area and 2 in the lawn mower section. We asked for assistance only to be told no one knew anything about the lawn mowers.. these are the same 2 who had an attitude in the stihl section ... Not one would even attempt to answer the most basic question on the mowers...! No problem.. we went to Loews and received plenty of help and bought a gas powered lawn mower! We will no longer shop or do business with this ACE Hardware as our money spends anywhere with good customer service! How sad they were good at one time!

    Ordered a dishwasher almost 4 weeks ago and was supposed to be delivered 3 days later. Order never…read moreshowed up. Called and rescheduled it 4 times due to them not having it. Then went to store and lady was nice helpful. However, while she was on the phone with .com trying to figure out the issue, they upset her and made her cry in front of me. I was shocked. I ended up leaving after I was told that they will call us and update us. Once I received the call back from a super rude person, they ended up canceling the order and gave us no explanation to why or anything. Today, I received a phone call asking me to go back to the store to get my refund. The worst experience I ever had in my life. Now I know why Home Depot is losing customers!!!!!!

So I start calling Home Depot and all its 800 numbers at 1:30 pm to find out what's going on. It is now 6:59 pm and I'm still puzzled at what happened? I've been on hold for hours!! And they're telling me that they have to reschedule the delivery because they can't find my washer! Fantastic!!!! You promise a delivery date and then say whoops we lost your washer!! Can't deliver until the 18th. What kind of a business does that???? It's very frustrating that I've been on the phone since 1:30 spoke to 'mangers' and I'm still baffled that I don't have my washer..this is completely ridiculous!! Manager Haley was completely useless...extremely disappointed! This is the email I got from Home Depot!! Wow they want to give me $29 for my inconvenience!!! That's so generous of you!! 5 hours of being on the phone my whole day being ruined because of this delivery and you're waving the delivery fee of $29!! That's wonderful, so generous and thoughtful! And I still have a pile of laundry!!! I have kids! They need clothes! That's why I bought the washer!! Does any of this make sense??? I can't believe the offer was to wave the delivery fee!!
