After striking out at Home Depot for the variety of Dusty something or other my brother was looking for, we gave trusty Pike a try and hit a home run. The biggest win was the service. We were quickly greeted and pointed to the plants that were needs, gathered them up, and added some non GMO purple basil, because why not? This is a review for Preston- We pulled up to the Pike 5 minutes from closing, the employees were cleaning up and me and my friends were wondering if we should just leave. Preston was at the front and insisted that we should stay and continue to shop while offering advice and stories- from which trees were the best to how the poinsettia became associated with Christmas. He was glad we had extra purchases and had no qualms with staying a bit after- this man needs a raise because it's not often you find an employee who genuinely seems as delighted with their job as Preston was! We left with more plants and gift cards than we came for! read more

Just like any other Pike, there is endless parking and requiring everyone to wear masks. Don't have one? They will provide one. This Pike has an amazing selection of houseplants. Probably the best I've encountered in the Metro Atlanta area. The staff is friendly and you can just smell the CLEANLINESS in the air. Highly recommend! read more

Needed some expertise to fill an area in our landscaping, met up with Jennifer, she couldn't have possibly been more knowledgeable, patient and thorough. Pike as always has a great selection of plants and flowers to choose from and planters to put them in. Different sized fountains can be found as well as a large amount of bird feeders. Awesome orchids, great set up but you will pay a premium for plants here and there is no guarantee on them (like Loews) if they die for any reason you are stuck with them. If you have a case if the munchies while there there is free popcorn and bottles of water in the fridge to cool you down on those extra hot days. read more

This is a great place for all your gardening needs. I avidly plant a grow a variety of stuff and then this pike is always my 1 stop shop! Normally customer service is my #1 issue I have with a place but that's we here this store is the best. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and all around focused on the customer and the quality of the product. Now that I'm a homeowner, I'm spending more time in the yard and more money on landscaping. Generally the employees are significantly more knowledgeable than the folks who work in the garden centers of the big box stores. They'll work with you to order exactly what you're looking for (yay 5-gallon fig). In addition, they have a lifetime guarantee on shrubs and bushes, which I may very well have to cash in after August (even with watering and months of established roots) fried a couple things to a crisp. read more

This Pike Nurseries is a bit more dated than the other ones in the area. However, it offers a very large slection of trees, shrubs, and flowers that any gardener could ask for. Prices are a bit higher than your local Lowe's or Home Depot, but the selection here is greater. Plus, if you're in their Play in the Dirt frequent club, all of your purchases on tree and shrubs is life-time guaranteed. read more

Way to blow it Pikes- all those ads touting "Free Lady Bugs!"- got there at 1:30 on Sunday...(big sign over the door) looked and looked, asked the guy at the register "Oh, we ran out".... then maybe take the sign off the front door, the sign on the street, and offer a rain check or something... (Maybe all the employees standing around in red shirts could have done that?) Bet Home Depot would have handled this better... Or Lowes. read more

I'm thoroughly dissapointed in this location now. Their selection has gone downhill. If you get there too early no one wants to help. I got looked at crazy and looked over when I went to the register. One guy saw me walk up and immediately answered the phone. Another lady acted like I was an inconvenience and asked the guy next to me if he had questions. Luckily someone else came up and rung me up. My advice? Go to the one at Crossvilles. They're at least helpful. Oh... And their clematis selection is severely lacking. read more

This store is okay. I like their selection of "Itty-bitty" plants. Help on the sales floor is good but at the cash register prepare for service with a grumpy face. I have never had a courteous or friendly person ring me up in this store. The other issue is their selection of flower pots. They have a plethora of expensive clay pots and various fancy planters, but no affordable pots. I always have to shop elsewhere for those. read more

Dead, crispy Christmas tree! Bought the weekend of Thanksgiving and it's been watered continuously. Called and the woman said they were about to close and no one was there. And, she further said Thanksgiving was a month ago and they don't take trees back. Thanksgiving was the 26th, today's the 16th and I don't want to take the tree back. She told me to call back tomorrow when someone else was there. Won't be buying a tree or anything else at Pike Nurseries again - especially the one on Hwy. 92 in Roswell. read more

Everyone that works here is always a delight to talk to. I am always greeted by several employees when I walk in. I have asked many questions and they always take their time to walk around with me to give me advice and answer my questions. The employees here are very knowledgeable and professional. I usually shop at several different Pike Nursery locations. After my experience yesterday at this particular location, I will NEVER shop here again. All customers are not treated fairly and equally. I had an issue with a Christmas tree, and the Pike associate that was assisting me, tried to explain the situation to both store Managers. The assistant manager basically ignored what the worker was saying, they told me I was overreacting becasuse "it's just a tree." In short, I contacted Pike's corporate office, and by that time had gotten a slightly different version of the incident and confusion. Therefore, they referred me back to the same store and store manager so that I could take advantage of the 10% they offered me after I was discriminated against. My advise is to frequent other Pike's location, but not this one. read more

I bought a bunch of flowers and plants here on a recent weekend morning and can say they definitely have a wider selection than Home Depot and Lowe's but their service level is far below. During my visit I was never offered help either with my plant selections or to load them into my car upon check out. I've been to other Pike's locations before so expected to pay higher prices just not with the Wal-Mart style service level. Speaking of check out, I waited in a line of 1 for 15 mins before finally getting to the register. There was only one line open on a weekend morning and the cashier prioritized answering the phone, paging employees, and helping customers walking into the store over the customers in line. There were several employees floating around the area but none helped her. Upon finally checking out the cashier failed to apply the weekend promotional discount they were running so I had to remind her of it. Saved me a whopping $2 on a $500 bill! At the end of the day I've always had great experiences at the other Pike's locations but will never return to this one even though it's closest to my home. When I need items I can't find at one of the big box stores I'll drive a bit further to Hastings or the Roswell Road Pike's. read more
