We went to this nursery because we needed expert help. We asked for deer resistant plants but did state we knew they would eat anything if they were hungry. We were told to buy azaleas and mums. After the deer ate them the 2nd week, we researched and found that these were plants that deer actually liked. Talk about pots the variety is endless and outdoor art too. There is so so very much to see it's overwhelming. I will never go any place else for my plants now that I have come to Pike. I recently bought a home only minutes away from Pike Nurseries and have been wanting to check this place out for some time. I donned my mask and headed inside. Pros: -Wonderful selection of plants that offer a lot more variety than the big box stores. -Best selection of faux succulents I've ever seen (and merchandised beautifully, too). Cons: -Price. Wow. I looked at multiple items that were 50-200% more expensive than I would have expected. -Service. I wandered around aimlessly for some time. There were easily enough employees working to individually help each customer/group in the store. However, I was not greeted or acknowledged or asked if I needed assistance. Though the selection and convenience may bring me back into the store in the future, the price will definitely hold me back from visiting more frequently. read more

Spent $850 to have Pike's design and plant a mixed bed of perennials. Within two weeks, 7 of the plants died. The manager begrudgingly agreed to replace 2 of the 3 Russian sage but nothing else. So we spend $850, they pick out the plants and plant them, then take no responsibility when they die. We previously spent $3000 on for designing and planting foundation plants.. Their crew did not follow the plan and I ended up replanting a third of the plants. Also, their install job did not follow commonly understood guidelines for planting. A six foot arborvitae was leaning 30% within 24 hrs. Called them but no one ever came so I staked it myself. You might ask why spend another $850 after that experience. The answer is the designer was excellent. read more

We had just moved to this home (new build) no landscaping went to pike and set up for a landscape designer to come to our house to design landscape. Paid the $200. Deposit. Was told we would hear from designer within 24-48 hours. We waited a week and nothing. Went back to the store and got our money back but just really disappointed to have never heard from them. Today I returned a $6 roll of vinyl plant tie tape and was subjected to a 15-minute return process that would have rivaled even the most archaic return in 30 years. Because I had opened the package (to try the tape) I did not receive a refund, I had to accept a store credit for $6. The manager did not check my Play In The Dirt Points which would have revealed how much I spend at this store. It was all about the open package and store credit. Then came the "paperwork." I have not seen a return process involving carbon paper copies and manager's approval for decades!! Pike's should update their return process and customer service. This experience really made me angry despite only involving $6. read more

Husband and I came here on Saturday for a specific plant we could not find at Home Depot. I have to say there was a stark contrast between this location and the Johnson Ferry location, and it has everything to do with the manners of the staff. We were blown away by how friendly and helpful the staff is here. The selection of plants is huge - we had to keep ourselves focused on what we came for and remember we only have a certain amount of space to plant things. We left with exactly what we needed and encountered zero attitude from anyone. It's a win. We will definitely hit this location next time we need to visit Pike's. read more

I have found a new store to feed my quest for having the perfect lawn,LOL. They have everything you can imagine here for anything that you are growing in your yard. The thing that really sets them apart in my opinion is the knowledge of their staff. I had a question about a really hard to kill weed in my yard and the gentleman that I spoke with had a MBA in Horticulture. I usually go to Home Depot for fertilizer,etc, but their staff is not nearly as knowledgeable. They also sell Kamado smokers (which I am thinking about buying) so if you want to see one up close, they have them. read more

I went to Pike nurseries to purchase indoor plants for my home. After much shopping about, I finally settled on the hibiscus braid. The plants were $40 each, so I spent a total of $80 plus tax. Immediately after I got the plants home, leaves began dropping. So I contacted Pike nursery to exchange the plants because I believe the plants might have been diseased. To my dismay, Pike nursery does not warrant their plants as Lowe's, Home Depot,and Walmart does. The best I could do was to bring the plants back and allow one of their "horticulture specialist" take a look and make suggestions on how to keep the plant from dying outright. So I loaded the plants back into the car and returned them for the guy to take a look at them. The guy was a little high strong and a bit snobby. He told me that he "guess" that the plants are not receiving enough light and to move them to a more well lit area and to keep the top soil moist. I followed his instructions and guess what, within 30 days, both plants were completely dead!!!! Of course Pike nursery offered no recourse in this matter. Therefore $80 was completely wasted. Needless to say, I will not waste my money at their store again. read more

Pike Nurseries dented the hood of my car when they threw a Christmas tree on the top. 2 1/2 months later and the customer service representatives refuse to give THEIR insurance policy a claim number so they can proceed with fixing my car. I'll start by saying that we love Pike Nursery! However, our latest experience in buying a Christmas tree from this location was a bummer. We went the day that they had a sale going on and it didn't occur to me until I visited the Roswell location, but none of the trees were in water. I should've taken this as a red flag (a week after having our tree and it's leaving a huge mess! Needles everywhere each time we water it. We plan on buying a new one elsewhere) After we picked our tree, we drove the car around to pick it up. We had to REQUEST a fresh cut and also REQUEST the tree be netted before attached to the roof. It's always been in my experience that this was an automatic thing. It may have been that highschool aged kids were running the show, and too lazy, because we did get an eye roll when we asked for a fresh cut. After the tree was attached to the roof the kid stood in front of us waiting for a tip. Of course, we planned to tip him, but I'm not a fan of people expecting things. It was a little awkward. Again, we love Pike Nursery, but we will definitely be shopping at the Roswell location moving forward. read more
