I'm an established patient and the doctor refused to speak to me first about my problem unless I was undressed from the waist down which resulted in me leaving without being seen - unprofessional, heartless, and unacceptable. I'm a physician and this is NOT how you treat a worried female patient with a medical problem. No one gets to demand my clothes come off in exchange for care. Not one star can be given for anyone except the time I had to pay my copay. The lady taking my money did not smile but clearly was overwhelmed and doing her best-overheard she was new. It seems from what I overheard and told directly by Nurse Diane there is a high turn over of office staff. The worst customer service ever experienced as a new patient. Not one welcome (let me give you a tour, how can I assist you since you are new, what questions do you have, so glad you chose our practice, what made you choose our practice) to our practice by anyone I encountered. No greeting by the office staff person (tall blonde lady) when I checked in. After being in waiting room for 90 min and checking in every 30 minutes as to why I had not been seen---their faces at the reception were blank. No words, no water, no signs of customer service. Nurse Diane was abrupt, unprofessional and indifferent to my concerns about customer service and wait time of 2 hours to be seen. I asked why I wasn't called ahead and told to not come for 2 hours. I drove an hour and left work early. I could have finished my day and not taken PTO. Due to a lack of water and hunger as I did not expect to be there that long, I had developed a headache. I shared this with other Diane and she replied, "well I have a headache die being here so long today, aren't you glad I am staying late to see you?" She admitted she is over time for all of her appts regularly. This should have been shared before I booked. I could say more about her but let me go on to the 2nd appt that was an ultrasound. The technician did not explain what she was gonna do. She did not explain what she was doing during the ultrasound and when she was done, she left me with gobs of ultrasound gel to deal with in my private area. After she walked out of the room, I had to figure out what I could use to clean myself up with. To make it worse, there is no privacy screen or curtain to block the view of the door, so that when it gets opened your feet or facing the door and stirrups . How is that visualization? read more

As someone with a past of assault, it was extremely triggering (and illegal) for Maetozo to continue an invasive procedure after I had revoked consent. I had a full meltdown, screaming, crying, cursing, until a lovely nurse spoke up and told her to stop and let her call my mom. I don't recommend this doctor to anyone, especially if you have a history of SA. Due to this I continued my cancer treatment elsewhere. read more

If it weren't for Diane (the most wonderful nurse who is wayyyyy too good for this place!) I would NEVER go back here ever again! I just had an incredibly stressful and unfortunate experience with the office manager, Heather, who is an insensitive, heartless power-tripper. The white-haired woman working the front desk, who was relaying Heather's messages was also incredibly cold, unhelpful, lacking compassion for my situation, and refused my request to speak to her directly. I have been a patient here for years and I have never in my life felt more disregarded and disrespected by medical professionals as I felt today. Also, I didn't notice if they had removed them (because I was trying not to cry from the awful front desk encounter) but the last time I was there I noticed the lobby, bathroom, etc. was full of febreeze fragrances....plug-ins, room sprays...these harmful products literally cause infertility- hello!!!! When I mentioned it to the staff they said they didn't know the correlation. Hmm. Either they are ignorant, negligent, or just downright sinister? I don't know but I may never return. read more

If you want to be treated poorly this is the office for you! I've been an established patient and went for my annual wellnes appointment that had been scheduled for 6 months. I was asked to confirm daily via text for over a week which I did and checked in online also. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appoointment and when I checked in was asked all the same questions then asked for payment prior to my visit. I was planning on just paying for my visit since I'm on a plan that is difficult to use. I was told my 15 minute appt would be $353! I said I would rather use my insurance if it was going to be that much, the receptionist took my card apparently annoyed that she now had to verify coverage even though it is the same insurance I used last year? I sat there for a half hour when she called me up at 10:00 and said my appointment time was over. Apparently they only schedule women for 15 minutes for their annual wellness exam and my time was up, I'd need to come back now?! She almost seemed happy to be telling me that they would not be seeing me it was a very bizzare experience. My insurance card was never returned, definitely an office that does not are about their patients! read more

Zero patient concern. When I first saw Maeotoza her primary concern was selling me her "vaginal rejuvenation" when I was here for annual exam. She literally was walking out while I was asking questions and shut the door. This time I saw Diane , the NP who was great, but there is confusion on my billing. I have now asked 5 times for a call back on billing. No call and they could care less since they have my money. Everything here is about upselling - DNA testing, rejuvenation, and now they have added aesthetic treatments. Front office staff is indifferent. Avoid this place. read more

My sister and I have been going to this clinic since we were 16. I'm 28 and my sister is 25. Yesterday my sister had an appt here and called me crying after with how badly she was treated. Keep in mind my sister does have a gf who was with her and idk if that had anything to do with her mistreatment but either way it was unacceptable. We will never go back. She's too nice to say or post anything but I am not. If you're looking to be greeted by a kind and warm person and have a nurse who cares about you, go somewhere else. My biggest complaint is that they NEVER answer the phone. I have to walk in to make appointments. I got an IUD years ago that ended up getting expelled from my uterus. Afterwards, they asked if my body rejects piercings and when I said yes they told me I was high risk for expulsion. So why didn't they ask me that before I got it?? The staff is nice and helpful once you're there, although the appointments are rushed. Nothing special. Nothing bad enough to be 1 star but nothing good enough for more than 3. read more

This is not a review for Sherri L. Maetozo but for the clinic that bears her name (Total Women's Care of St. Augustine). This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a provider. I came in vulnerable and scared about a condition. Upon explaining my situation to an NP and asking for a test, she berated me for even asking, repeatedly telling me, "if I test you, then what are you gonna do about it?" I came to see a NP or a doctor because, I assumed, that they would help me. I felt the Nurse Practitioner I saw was deeply insensitive to my concerns and tried to push testosterone pellets on me despite having no understanding of my condition. I felt unseen and dismissed. I sobbed through the appointment and left in tears. I will never return. read more

WORST place I have ever been to. The first appointment I was told how i was making up how bad my cramps are and then spent almost an hour talking about birth control then got charged a fortune. I shouldn't have gone back but had to for a medical reason and I thought they were being helpful but turns out the doctor i was being seen with ISNT EVEN LICENSED IN FLORIDA. This has caused my bill to go through the roof because my insurance isn't accepted in Colorado. I called to see if there was some way to fix this issue and they said it's not their problem, I need to reach out to the lab I used and I already have contacted them and they said the doctor is at fault since it She is licensed in a different state. Receptionist Jennifer is taking out mental health problems and/or personal issues on patients. Had an emergency that made me run late to a colposcopy with cervical biopsy appointment so I called the office right away. Jennifer tried to blame me for the doctor "moving her entire schedule around" as if my emergency were somehow on purpose. Jennifer rudely interrupted me to tell me I was calling it a "biopsy" incorrectly even though the nurse herself had called it a "biopsy" lol. Then she tried to schedule me a month from today even though this appt. is to make sure I don't have cervical cancer... no big deal just potential cancer. Then suddenly (AFTER SHE DECIDED I WAS HER PERSONAL PUNCHING BAG) she felt like charging me $75 for an emergency situation I had no control over making me late. $75 on top of losing my health insurance and planning to pay out-of-pocket for this procedure. Did not put me on a waiting list. When I asked to speak to someone(ANYONE) else, Jennifer refused and stated she was the only one in the office. Everywhere else I called is booked up but they are also rational and polite, making it abundantly clear Jennifer should not represent such an amazing doctor. read more
