Kyle from Sherman Roofing was at our house this morning to check our roof out before the rains come! He was on time, professional, very courteous and very reasonable. He checked our roof out and all he found were a couple minor items that he just needed to repair...took 10 minutes! We recommend him highly and definitely recommend him to any of our friends that need their roof checked out or repaired. read more

Mr Sherman is my hero. I found a Roof Shingle on our walkway. I thought our Pest Service may have knocked it off the roof while they were spraying. Unsure about the extent of the damage, we sought a professional opinion. Our SIL recommended we work with Sherman Roofing. An appointment was quickly scheduled. Loved that they are our neighbors...and a small business. Mr Sherman arrived on time, and after a quick inspection, assured us the damage was a *one off *. He went to his truck, got adhesive, and reattached the Roof Shingle. Best of all ...this repair was at no charge. Outstanding Service, very highly recommended. read more

Highly recommended! Sherman just finished replacing our 30yr old roof - lots of dry rot, a flat roof and a couple of unexpected repairs... Sherman's crew was outstanding! They sent 6 guys who completed the job in just over 2 days. They were professional, worked their butts off and cleaned the property with great care at the end of each day. I was concerned after the job was in progress that there was much more work/repair required than originally thought - and quoted. Kyle and team were very flexible and the final quote was just slightly over budget... but well within what we thought was reasonable, given all the dry rot, extra work and materials that were needed. We are very happy with the final result, the work and crew were great and we can't commend Sherman Roofing enough for a job well done! Thank you! read more

Wow! Kyle Sherman came over for a repair estimate. He took a look and said a tile had slipped and cracked. He sealed the crack and put the tile back in place. No charge. He didn't even let me buy him a lunch! I'll call this company next time I need roof repair! read more

After years of sporadic (temporarily-patched) leaks and a garage roof that pooled water, I knew it was finally time to replace my 35+ year old roof. I started my search by getting estimates from a half-dozen roofing companies, all of which were highly rated by the Bay Area Consumers' Checkbook and other sources. I chose Sherman Roofers, led by Kyle Sherman, because he most aptly demonstrated his obvious knowledge, expertise and experience, coupled with the fact the he quoted a very reasonable price. I knew they would be the best value in all categories. From our first meeting, I was impressed by their professionalism and punctuality. When they said they would be somewhere at a certain time, they were. This level of reliability showed me how seriously they took their work. The work itself was outstanding as far as I could tell. The crew was courteous, hardworking, and consistent, led by a communicative and easy-to-work-with foreman, Victor. At the end of each day, they meticulously cleaned up all equipment and debris, leaving my property spotless (and believe me, I was looking). It was as if they were never there. They also installed a new drain in the middle of my garage roof, solving the problem of standing water and saving me from the dangerous task of climbing onto the roof -- often in the rain -- to pump it out. As a senior, this peace of mind was invaluable. The final inspection easily passed, and -- while I'm no expert of course -- the roof looks fully completed and ready for winter. In the end, I received stellar service and high-caliber work at a more than fair price. Kyle even adjusted the price as needed, showing his flexibility and integrity. I'm finally looking forward to sleeping soundly through the rain. I have no hesitation whatsoever in unequivocally recommending Sherman Roofing for any roofing job. read more

They performed an inspection but for the life of me, I could not get them to come do the repairs. I am a realtor and it was quite tenuous for me since I needed confirmation that the repairs were performed to give to the buyer. Not sure why my colleague recommended them. read more

Changed out my 27-year-old roof! Thank you for a Great Job and Quick Service. Highly Recommend!

Straightforward and thorough inspection and follow on quote. Quote was broken down so that I could remove items I didn't want fixed. Workmen were thorough, competent, respectful and cleaned up after themselves. read more

The Sherman Roofing team did an excellent job on our new roof. Tom and Kyle were professional, responsive, and easy to work with. The crew was efficient, clean, and finished the work on time. We're very happy with the results and would definitely recommend them. read more

Sherman Roofing helped us with a roof leak this winter. Responded quickly, gave us a great price and even squeezed us in ahead of schedule so we could get inside repairs going. Family run by good, honest, down to earth people. Did not try to upsell or bs. Hard to find contractors like that nowadays. read more

I requested a reroof estimate from Sherman and they sent someone out, I believe it was Kyle Sherman. He got up on our roof, inspected and promised an estimate the following week. We waited and no estimate was provided. I called their office and the woman I spoke to said she'd find out and get back to me. Crickets... I called and noted that we are looking to get this reroof or partial reroof done as soon as they were available and wanted to get on their calendar. Nothing still. I understand roofing companies are busy during this rainy season, but don't waste my time and your time if you aren't going to follow through. I mean, why bother coming out if you are going to ignore us after the fact? If you are too busy to take my money and business - don't agree to come out and give us an estimate if you don't have time for us!! We ended up going with a different local roofing company who are the polar opposite in that they are responsive and straightforward. They gave us a reasonable estimate the same day that they came out. I've been a real estate transaction coordinator for decades and agents always ask me for vendor / contractor recommendations. I definitely won't be recommending Sherman to any agents or their clients. read more

Excellent service at a reasonable price. Very attentive to customer feedback. Friendly, honest and no upselling.

We called Sherman roofing to replace our old roof, redo our gutters and replace wood rot. They came out and gave us a timely quote, but explained there was a 3 month wait for next availability. Within 3 months they called us to start the project and were finished within 3 days. Job site was left clean each day and team was on time and efficient with working. They found a bit of rotted wood while doing the job and were extremely affordable in taking care of that too. Overall great experience and would recommend them to anyone. read more

Sherman roofing helped us out in January 2023 with a leak after a huge storm. They were slammed with repairs but made time to come help. I asked for an estimate and Tom said we probably had 2-3 more years of life in the roof. I appreciate his honesty and not just saying to replace it. We had them replace the roof this month and he honored the 2023 price. It was done quickly and I appreciate how easy he was to deal with! I highly recommend this company! Honest and amazing! read more

A huge shoutout to Sherman Roofing for a spectacular job well done! Tom, the owner was punctual, honest and a man of his word. He gave us a quote that was fair and without hidden costs. His foreman, Kyle, was incredibly attentive and great to work with. The roofing crew, Felix, Victor, Morgan and the others arrived early each day, worked hard and did a great job. This company was recommended to us by local Livermore residents and my better half and I are very happy with the job they performed. We went with the CertainTeed Presidential TL shingle (Autumn Blend color) and as you can see by the photos in this review, it completely transformed our 1960's era ranch home. At the end of the job, the crew did a very detailed clean-up! Thanks Sherman roofing for taking care of business in professional way! read more

Sherman Roofing recently replaced two skylights for us and their customer service and speed were great. They came highly recommended and I noticed they did work on our neighbor's roof which I made note of. We had a timeline that we needed to meet and even though we had a hiccup in the actually skylight parts arriving they were very responsive and proactive in trying to squeeze us in. Our installation was super quick and they got it taken care of ahead of our deadline which was so appreciated! read more

Sherman Roofing is my go-to roofer! I have worked with them for many years, and I know I can count on them to give me good, honest advice, and won't make recommendations that aren't needed. I'm a Realtor, and it is very important that the companies I use and refer clients and friends to, are reputable, honest, dependable, and stand by their work. Very impressed from start to finish! Sherman roofing came out to fix a leak in a skylight we had in the garage. They were very responsive and while here I asked if they could also take out the 2nd skylight. They had plenty of supplies and roofing with them and we added the extra part of the job. Highly recommend!! read more

Sherman came out and inspected a popped nail with loose shingle around the chimney on the roof and a gutter that had become detached on one end and went ahead and fixed both at no charge. Thanks for coming out and inspecting and fixing the issues free of charge and arriving within the appointment time window we had set up. I recommend Sherman Roofing. read more

Tom Sherman was recommended for a roofing repair that we needed from a past botched job. Not only was the repair done perfectly but the customer service provided was exceptional. We have found that previous service people are notorious for poor communication. I am pleased to say that Tom is the rare exception and is an outstanding communicator. His prices are very fair and I strongly recommend Sherman Roofing. read more

I don't know whats up with this roofing company. I guess I upset them because I had to delay my scheduled estimate time by a couple of hours. They were supposed to come out after 11:00 on Wednesday but the owner called and asked if he could come on Thursday at 8:30 am. Sure, no problem I said. By 10:30 am no one showed up. So my wife calls, left a message and someone calls back and says, OH I have you scheduled for Friday at 8:30. OK, no big deal to me. So Friday 8:30, 9:30 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, no one showed up and no phone call................or anything. Pfffffff whats this world coming to? Guess I'll sit out front of Home Depot and find someone who actually wants to work. read more

Sherman Roofing is the best! Tom and team worked on our home's tile roof and wood fascia repairs and did an incredible job. Competitively priced and very professional from start to finish. Would definitely work with Sherman Roofing again and highly recommend them to friends and family! read more

Sherman Roofing is the best! I have known Tom for many years and he has always done a great job! As a realtor, I need to be able to refer someone I trust to my clients. I have never had anything but rave reviews from my clients who used Tom Sherman. He is honest, personable and does a great job! He goes above and beyond, cleans up well, has very fair pricing, shows up when he says he will, and does excellent workmanship. Beside the many clients I have referred him to over the years, I had him re-roof my daughter's house and he was fast and did high quality work. She was super impressed too! If you need a trustworthy, great roofer for a new roof or repairs, Sherman Roofing is the way to go!! read more

Tom did a fantastic job with our roof. He was not the lowest quote that we received during our early process, but he was reasonable and based on his yelp reviews and our real estate agents recommendations, we decided to go with him. We had bought a new house and were going to lose our homeowners insurance if we didnt get the roof replaced. Tom worked with us to get the necessary paperwork to get an extension and completely replaced the roof in a few days. We are very happy with the work he did. read more

If you're looking for an honest company that provides quality work, look no further. My husband and I recently purchased a home that needed a new roof. We had four companies come out and give us bids, but Tom Sherman was the only one that felt right. He's an honest man, with honest pricing, offering quality products and service. He went above and beyond, making the process seamless. I'd hire him again, and I highly recommend him. read more

Top Quality workmanship and people Tom and Kyle were a Godsend. My husband built our house nearly 40 years ago and he still get's up on the roof to fix things as needed. I had to put a stop to that so I called various roofing companies and Tom understood my urgency. He evaluated the roof, gave me a quote that day and started the job a few days later. Kyle did the actual roof repairs and I am very impressed with him. He was, meticulous about his work, very thorough, didn't waste any time, he cleaned up after the job every day (which i loved) and was always polite and pleasant to talk to. I think Sherman Roofing has great integrity and quality standards for which I am grateful. Thank you Tom and Kyle! read more

We discovered a leak in our roof late yesterday, right over our already decorated Thanksgiving table, after many calls....with no results, Tom Sherman returned my call, came over on Thanksgiving morning and was delightful! I will be telling all my friends about this great company! All other companies that I called, if they answered, gave us at least a week or two repair date and a much higher price. Tom, thanks for saving Thanksgiving Day!!! read more

Rain gutter replacement and a few rotten boards replaced. Great customer service & fair prices! Highly recommend!

I had a great experience with Sherman Roofing!! I had them inspect the roof on a house that I was in escrow with. I had a very quick inspection period and they were able to make in out and get the inspection done immediately. Tom did a very thorough inspection at a great price. He laid out exactly what was wrong with the roof and the recommendations for the fixes along with a very fair quote. I would strongly recommend this company for any roofing needs you have. -Rockford Ambler read more

I did meet Tom for an initial quote (liked him, and I'm sure the reviews about his work quality are correct), but the estimate was higher than I wanted to pay. It included some items that went beyond the basic repair I needed, so I asked for a revised quote with a reduced scope of work. No response to any of my emails over a couple weeks, so I just gave up and went with another company. I would have understood if my job was just too small, or Tom was too busy with other jobs, but still would expect a response to my multiple emails. read more

My house in Pleasanton had a leak around the skylight area in early March, 2014. The roof was tile roof. I have called over 10 contractors in Livermore and Pleasanton area. One company charges $90 for evaluation. Most others gave free quotes. But it's not easy to get the quotes quickly. Some company doesn't answer my message. I have got 5 formal quotes. The highest bid charges $1500. There were quotes of $600-700, one $450. For some of the quotes, I have to wait for weeks before they can do the repair. Mr Sherman charge only $175 for the repair. He came to my house the second day I called, did it in one hour and the roof is fixed. No leak after the testing of another big rain storm. I am totally amazed. Mr Sherman sent me the bill by email the same day. He also sent me picture of the roof to my cell phone. If you are looking for a professional roofer to fix your roof problem and not over-charge you, then I highly recommend Sherman Roofing. My experience for Sherman roofing is a five star experience! read more

Super pleased with Sherman Roofing! Tom and his son, Kyle, came over 2 minutes before the appointment time to fix a leaky roof that the previous contractor had not fixed properly. They identified the correct root cause of the issue (clogged roof flow pan) within 5 minutes of hopping up on the roof. They have a 100% guarantee so I know I can go back to him but am confident the right repair has been done. Highly recommend Sherman Roofing. read more
