Hi my name is Shannon and I have hair cut anxiety. One bad cut of fringe bangs will do that you! I searched all over for a studio that I could depend on to give me a fantastic haircut without paying a million dollars or giving up my first born child. *Enter Shep studio* I've been coming to this studio for 5 years now and have had my hair cut by many of their stylists, and I'm happy to say that I have NEVER had a bad haircut!! I feel so confident walking into and out of this studio because I know my hair will look and feel great for months to come. There are stylists of different skill levels so you can ask for someone with more experience and pay a little more, or you can go with one of their newer stylists who is still better than anyone else I've ever been to. You really can't go wrong here! The other day there was a mixup with my hair appointment and I was scheduled on the wrong day. They got me in for a cut the next day and offered me a free deep conditioning treatment to make up for it. Plus they always offer free drinks and hang your coat up for you! That is 5 star service! The owner is as nice as his employees, and it's a treat if you get to meet him in the salon! Could not recommend this studio more for any of your hair needs. read more

I have honestly never sat in someone's chair that is as talented or knowledgeable as Shep. He is a magician! Not only did he give me the haircut of my dreams, but he walked me through every tip and trick to make sure I knew how to style it at home. He is incredibly skilled in cutting hair to be flattering to each person's face shape - he has been cutting my hair(for about two years now) and it is the best it has ever looked. I've really hesitated to leave a negative review here because I've only been once and both the girls who worked on my hair were amazingly nice, but the truth of the matter is that I got my hair done 2 1/2 months ago and I hate it every single day, so...I'm leaving the review. Let me start by saying that I have my usual stylist whom I adore who always does a great job, but she is pregnant and gets very sick while pregnant, so she doesn't see people during that time. I myself just had a baby in January--3 weeks prior to my appointment--so it was kind of a big deal to leave my baby for that long and drive 30 minutes to get my hair done. However, this salon has such great reviews that I figured I would love my hair no matter what and it would be worth the sacrifice. And after being pregnant and having that baby, I felt I deserved some pampering. Anyway, I had a lot of regrowth since the last time my original stylist had done my hair, but my roots didn't look bad. She had done a great job at making the color look natural and setting it up so the grow out would look good, but I needed a cut and I am starting to go gray, so I just wanted to get it all re-done. I showed the Shep Studio stylist the picture on the left of my hair and said I basically wanted the same color. I ended up with the color on the right. In the salon I said it looked great because I couldn't tell how blonde it was because there are so many windows with lots of sunshine, but the moment I saw it in my car, I HAAAATED it. It's blonde but she also put low lights that are darker than my natural color in it so it looks super blonde with 90's skunk chunks. On top of that, the blonde looks a little green and brassy. It's horrible. My mom and friends were all really nice when they first saw it, so I figured I would get used to it. But I haven't. And what makes it worse is that from the first time I washed it, it felt gummy and tacky and I couldn't even run my hands through it. I asked my pregnant stylist about it and she said it sounds like the salon fried my hair. I still can't run my fingers easily through my hair when wet (which wasn't a problem before), so I haven't round brushed it in months. Lately I let it air dry and then it looks like a frizzy, blonde mess. I had told the stylist who cut it that I needed it to look good for days when I did air dry it since I have little kids. No such luck there. Nothing about the cut or color looks good. Anyway, all this to say, they have a great reputation and their salon is clean--albeit a little sterile--but I have never been so disappointed about how I spent $200 before. Maybe it was a bad day, but I won't be going back. I just can't wait until all this fried hair grows out so I can chop it off. read more

I came in from out of town (Bay Area CA) and realized I really was past due for a haircut. Everyone in town recommended Sheps - but Shep wasn't available on short notice. So I chose Stevo based on reviews (I have long hair and wanted to take 3 inches off with a textured beachy look. Stevo crushed it - my haircut looks incredible, and for a fraction of the price of what I'd pay back home. I'm already telling everyone I know in UT to go to Stevo. He is so friendly, down to earth and can cut your hair perfectly just by seeing a few inspiration pics. Thank you Sheps!!! read more

Tarlan was very professional and nice. She did a very precise haircut. However, I wanted some highlights put in as well as covering my gray, and thought I explained very clearly what I was looking for. My service cost $275 and can't see any highlights at all. I didn't get what I paid for, unfortunately. I've been coming to Shep Salon for several years, and most of the time I get the results I'm looking for (which, in my case, is usually just covering my gray roots. If you keep it that simple I think it's difficult to get it wrong). Definitely got it wrong today though. read more

One of the worst haircuts I've gotten! My hair is long and curly I asked for a simple trim. My hair looks lopsided when I put my hair in front of my shoulders. I've even had someone mention it. There is about a 2 inch difference from the right side of me to my left. $50 for a lopsided haircut is a joke. I had to cut it myself when I got home again. So now I'm out $50 and had to do it myself. HORRIBLE experience very disappointed because I've heard great things about Shep. read more
