Very professional & attentive stylists/staff. I love the new, clean, simple surroundings with a lot of natural light; especially while sitting in a stylist's chair for a few hours. This is the salon to go to for a blonde, beach wave style. Rylan did not disappoint in lightening up my highlights to where they needed to be... Which took a lot of time and attention. She was awesome to fit me into her busy schedule and balanced her time with me and another client without stress. I would have liked a little more attention to a personalized cut/style that I paid for.... but again, Rylan had done me a big favor fitting me quickly. I will definitely be back as soon as possible! As a guy with a significant amount of fast growing hair, finding the right person to cut your hair can definitely be a difficult task. I have tried them all. Great Clips (LOL), Amara, Paul Mitchell, My aunt, my friend's girlfriends, etc. You name it, I've been there tried that. But my search ended when I found Platinum. Located literally blocks from my house, Platinum is a fantastic option for me. The staff here is perfect. They are all so friendly every time I come in. My favorite part about platinum is I never have to ask for a Reminder call - they usually call me within 48 hours to remind me of my upcoming appointment which is fantastic because I usually forget. Currently I have been getting my haircut by Kami. I believe I Pay $20 or $25 and tip an additional 10 because i'm a happy customer. A full wash with a scalp massage, cut and style all for that price? How can you pass that up? I am always offered a soda or water upon sitting down in the chair. The haircut I receive from Kami is one of the best I have ever had; she does excellent mens cuts. She will not let you leave unhappy with your cut, and she always does a great job of styling it perfect. Overall, if you feel like you are in a rut with your current hair stylist, come to Platinum and give them a chance. When I originally went I would have given this place five stars so fast, but I've gone back a couple more times, and I just have not been happy with the cut and style I received. The first time I went I had Tiffany, and Tiffany was INCREDIBLE!! She listened to what I wanted to do with my hair and then gave suggestions on what would look good, how to take care of it, etc and was overall very thorough and attentive. I didn't feel like she was trying to get me in and out as fast as she could. The next time I went I had a different girl (because Tiffany moved ). I have to say, she was not bad, but I did feel like she was rushing to get me in and out of there as fast as she could. The last time I went I had yet another girl. That was a nightmare. The cut I got was just not working, and again I felt like she was just rushing to get me in and out of that chair. Then at the end she didn't even bother to style my hair, she just blow dried it and brushed it out. My hair is naturally wavy/curly. Every curly haired girl knows you can't blow dry and brush curly hair because you'll either end up looking like Mufasa from The Lion King or Billy Ray Cyrus at the height of his career in the 80's. It does not look good. Before you come for me about complaining about the cut, I did tell them exactly what I wanted, and it wasn't like I was going in for a massive chop, every time I was just wanting 1-2" cut to get rid of the dead ends. That's all. If you got to the end of this review, bravo! I'm proud of you for sticking to it for so long. I guess if there is one moral to take away from my ranting/venting it's just be careful who you get to do your hair here. From my experience, it's pretty hit or miss of whether you'll get someone who will really take the time needed with you. Personally, I'm not going back anytime soon. read more

Cherise saved my life on my wedding day. The girl who was supposed to do my hair at Pritchett did such a bad job for my bridal session so I had to look for someone last minute. You could tell that Cherise was experienced! She took the time to look at the picture of the hair I wanted and even got thicker bobby pins for me so it would stay in place all day. 10/10 would recommend!! read more

The service here is outrageous! I got my hair cut by Cherise. She was wonderful! One of the nicest women you'll meet and she gives a killer hair cut. AND at a reasonable price. Ashley is amazing at hair and I went to here for years when I lived in Utah (even drove from St G area when I moved) because she is that good!! She has done a major 5 hour color correction on me, to doing my wedding hair to all the in between hair appointments where we changed up my color and cut each time. She is definitely someone you can laugh with, talk hair with and get what you want and look beautiful!! I can't say enough about her because her skill expertise and knowledge is astonishing! I have been here 4 times and I wonder why I keep going back. Each time I have had a great color but a terrible cut. If you want an A-line bob that is stacked in the back, aka Utah Bob, this is your place. Every time I asked for a straight bob, not stacked, not A-line and that is whar I walked out with every time. This last visit I asked the stylist to thin my hair a bit. She replied that she "doesn't believe in thining. If you have thick hair, you should own it." Um okay? So if you want a Utah bob this is your place. But 4 tries is enough. I give up. read more
