There were only 3 customers at the bar when we sat down, but the bartender was far more interested in talking to 1 of them than addressing us. FYI, it was a less than professional conversation, leaning in much more intimately. When she was done with her chat, she proceeded to the kitchen to hang out for a couple minutes, only popping out to glare at us again while on the phone. Finally, after a couple more minutes with no sign of our bartender, we left. This place offers mediocre food (on a good day) and a pathetic beer selection. While I am all to happy to patronize a local establishment, even with subpar offerings, I'm not going to pay for such pathetic service. Take your money elsewhere. There are many far better establishments who value their customers, all within 5-10 minutes drive. Keep driving when you see the sign for The Sportsman.

The waitress was also tending the bar and was FANTASTIC. She was nice, quick with our drinks, and checked in on us. The prices were lower than most.. a double bloody was under $7! And one of the best i've ever had. We both had the hangover burger, and the meat was fresh and perfectly cooked ( I did catch a glimpse of the kitchen - the cooks looked to be flame broiling their burgers.. yummm) the lettuce and tomato were crisp and juicy, and the fries were the perfect fluffy on the inside- crunchy on the outside texture. They were piping hot and the batter on them was insanely good. If you're traveling across the state line and looking for a quick bite to eat that won't break the bank, check this place out. But the venue is nice, it's dark, which I do like because when you're on stage, the audience isn't something that you can really see so it makes you feel a little more comfortable. The DJs are super nice and friendly and very supportive. There's great singers, mediocre singers, first timers that are really nervous and you can tell but everybody cheers them on! Karaoke is not about being the best singer in the house. No one's gonna get discovered by a record label here. We are all just here to have fun and sing songs we like. The bartender that usually works is super awesome and really nice. The drinks are really good and decently priced and they have a bunch of different snack foods that you can get. In the rockstar karaoke room you can always go next-door and order food and have it brought over . While the rockstar karaoke area just has appetizers. That's been my main experience. I haven't gone there on other nights, but they have a nice stage and sound system with cool lighting and bands. Come and play there. I haven't seen any bands there yet, but I'm definitely interested.
