I think Shenanigans certainly has its place in Lake Harmony and I'm thankful for it. I went to shenanigans on Friday night with my boyfriend. I was in the mood for wings and beer and I figured shenanigans had it. So to be clear, Shenanigans has karaoke on Friday nights. I knew there may have been karaoke, but I didn't know it was in the middle of the bar for everyone to hear. But for me that was completely fine, welcoming actually. So upon entering there was a super loud, obnoxious guy singing Man In the box by Alice In Chains from then on it was a fun night! Shenanigans has a great atmosphere! Lots of young people, not a lot of families on Friday night. If you're looking for a quiet place for the family I don't recommend coming on Friday nights. My server was great. The wings I ordered are actually some of the best wings I have had in the Poconos. They fry it perfectly and they're a great size. I was impressed. I hate giving poor reviews but last night was pretty terrible. Party of 3 walked in, two staff members looked up and glanced at us and didn't even acknowledge our presence. Finally the host (young male) came over and sat us (he was super nice). Once seated, LITERALLY NOBODY ACKNOWLEDGED OUR TABLE ! The table literally next to us was seated 10 minutes after us and the orders were taken right away. Half an hour of waiting (not even having water given to us), I asked the host if someone was available to take our order. He looked really shocked that nobody had, and said he would get someone right away. 15 more minutes passed and still nobody. We asked a random waitress if anyone was available to take the order or at least bring water and she also looked shocked that nobody had yet. She said she would get someone right away. I overheard her asking who was able to serve our table and someone saying "What !? They've been here for an hour ! Why wasn't that taken care of?" (Whoever that was, thank you because you are correct and it was just over an hour). Finally a waitress came and took the entire order because at that point it just made sense to bring all the drinks, appetizers, and food at the same time. She was super nice and apologetic. Everyone kept making the same excuse that they were backed up and super busy which is fine and understandable but the fact that THREE tables that had arrived way after us were served and even left before our order was even taken, made that just seem like an excuse. The food all came at once. The wings were honestly really good but the shenanigans pot roast was inedible due to the salt level, and I mean so salty it stung around the lips and tongue. The green beans that came on the plate were COMPLETELY under-seasoned which ended up being fantastic because I just used the salt bomb of a sauce on the roast as seasoning for the green beans. The instant mashed potatoes were ok for being instant potatoes which was surprising (also leaning on the salty side). Overall, 1 Star for the wings and 1 Star for how nice the waitress was. I just really cannot get past how incredibly inedibly salty the pot roast was. read more

First time visit this past Sunday. Had some boneless wings that were very good and the ghost pepper hamburger that was awesome but could use a bit more heat... The employees seemed nice... My only complaint is that the place looks a little run down especially inside but don't let that stop you from visiting for a bite to eat and a drink or two. read more

Had a great time. The staff was very nice and attentive. The food was hot and fresh and pretty much all of our food for a group of 11 came out together. The Thai chili wings where phenomenal and I highly suggest them. I personally like flavored wings better but the mild wings where good also. Very crispy and fresh. Had a blast here on a Saturday night out with a group of my cousins while our extended family was staying at a lake house nearby, karaoke was fun the crowd was great and the drinks were awesome! Came back the next day for a meal and more drinks and it was just as good! read more

Ugh. Not great at all - came here after a hike with the family. Everything was subpar - from the drinks to the food to the service. Let's start with the drinks. Watered. Down. Got bloody Mary's and a jack and coke and a mimosa. We were definitely concerned about whether or not the bartender forgot to put alcohol in it. The food was what got the extra star to two instead of one. The French onion soup was fine, you can't mess that up. The potato skins were burnt cheese on a cut potato? The wings were good, though. The habanero were SO spicy. I only recommend those if you can handle extra spice. The sweet Thai chili had a kick, but were tasty af. Our waitress was friendly, but the service was slooow. We just wanted to stop in for a drink and appetizer real quick, but ended up being there for way longer due to the slowness. Really wouldn't recommend and I won't be back! read more

The bartender was so rude I couldn't believe it. She made nasty comments to us, spoke slowly and mockingly like we were stupid, and snapped at us if we said excuse me to get her attention. We were there as a bachelorette party, and she made the bride feel so upset and unwelcome it really ruined the night. She made some mean comment every single time we ordered drinks. We tried to order as a group so she wouldn't have to come back to us often, but it's pretty normal people make a few drink orders throughout the night at a bar. The food was great, we did have to wait awhile for it but that was expected. Came there yesterday for dinner and I was very impressed with how well the food tasted. It was absolutely amazing! If you go there get the pot roast its the best. I was not impressed however with the service. We waited 15 minutes just for a server to come over. After our server took our order she never came back over. I can't even give this place a STAR. But in order to leave a comment you have to. A few of us went last night July 17,21. The place was packed and could hardly sit at our table. The music and karaoke was so loud that i couldn't even hear what my friends we're trying to say to me from across the table. We had to use texting to communicate. It took the Waitress over 30 min to bring our first drink, then when she finally came around again we had to grab her to place an order. We ordered a cheesesteak and mozzarella sticks. The cheese steak took over an hr to come out. It was cold,, and the mozzarella sticks didn't come out.. We had to ask 3 different waitresses to find out where our mozzarella sticks are.. Meanwhile ppl behind us who came in 45 min after us are eating Their food including mazzarella sticks that I have been waiting over an hr ans 1/2 for. A young women came out from the back claiming to be the manager. Was not very professional, didn't bring out a new cheesesteak when she went to get the mozzarella sticks. Or offer a discount. When the mozzarella sticks did come out they were cold. Now the ppl running the karaoke,,, what a joke that was. I never in my life seen people get worked up over customers touching a microphone.... and they have a sign stating NOT TO TOUCH THE MIC. Ridiculous... when do you do karaoke and not hold the microphone or even keep from touching it. Your out to have fun and a good time. Went here at 6:30pm and the sat 9 of us and were sort of busy. We had to wait 15-20 minutes for a waiter to come over and take our drink orders. The waiter came back 20 minutes later with half the orders, then 5 more minutes for the 2nd half. We ordered our food. Three of us ordered burgers done medium, one wrap, 2 sandwiches and 3 appetizers for entrees. We had not seen our server after they dropped the drinks. We waited over 30 minutes for our 1st food drop, then 5 minutes later came the 2nd and one person the serve clearly forgot to put in their order so we all waited 15 more minutes for her to get her food. I ask you, why ask us how we want our burgers if two came extra well done and one rare and the server never came back to see how our food was. After 20 more minutes another server came by to take some of our plates and the rest were still in front of us as the 1st waiter dropped the check and never took any plates with them. My advice, STAY AWAY. The servers were trying their best, but when they drop the check, do you say, "I'll try to pay this?" Just STAY AWAY. Our 1st black-eye experience from Lake Harmony. The bouncer was super rude. I went in with a couple of young friends and they carded us in a rude fashion. I didn't feel so bad when two ladies came in after us and they said " we definitely don't need to see your IDS, you've been 21 for a while now " Wow..... That's funny as hell but not how you greet people at the front door. Whatevs. No big deal. Our waiter may have been new or had too many tables or we sat on a bad section. He took forever to come back. Every. Single time. By the third time back I have already gotten two rounds of drinks from the bar. I just handed him my card and asked him to close it. God knows how long it would have taken him to come back with my card if I saw the receipt first. I had friends sitting at the tables next to the bar and they seemed to be getting better service. Ordered wings to go. Was told it would take 25 mins. Arrived in 20 just in case. They seemed frazzled with the 4 tables they had and told me my order would be up soon. Waited 20 more minutes. Got home to find my wings were cold. Easily had been sitting for 20+ mins. Had to heat them up in my oven. Flavor wasn't terrible but you could tell they had been sitting for awhile. Also ordered potato skins for my kids. Looked like a dirty sole of a shoe. Honestly worst potato skins ever. I think they made them from dirt, rubber and sadness. Extremely disappointed. Came to the poconos from NJ for my friends birthday. Came here for dinner and the service was absolutely horrible. Our food was disgusting and tasted old. I'm OK with bad food if the service is good- but we saw our waitresses face maybe twice- I don't even think she told us her name. This was a total Waste of time and money. Shenanigans has just about everything I'm loooking for a perfext night out. The restaurant is large and spacious with ample seating as well as standing room near the stage. The menu has something for everyone - ranging from crIspy buffalo wings, gooey mozzarella sticks, and more! Everything we ate was delicious! The karaoke stage is fit for a QUEEN - letting everyone know who the singer is and making sure all eyes are on them. Why 3 stars, you ask? It's quite the simple. The lady inputting the karaoke requests had a horrible attitude. She skipped over patrons, and did not follow the order of people signing up. That's fine, but when asked when we'd be up, she had asnarky response and couldn't tell us when we would be able to grace the stage with our presence . This was extremely off putting and will make me think twice george coming back. I can karaoke elsewhere. read more
