Not certain what to do as I've seen a line of car prior as they line up to be inspected I did the same. Then an extremely rude man comes over only to find out he works there. The bottom line instead of waiting 2 hours in line I called Virginia Auto in Ashburn I was in and out in less then 30 minutes without the chaos of Shell on Market Street in Leesburg. My advice is go anywhere else but Shell on market street. Easier and cost the same. Shout out to Virginia Auto in Ashburn the earned 5 stars and if I could give shell a zero I would.

We had also planned to drink the coffees at one of the tables in the shop --to stretch out from our drive. The location is in an area which can best be described as congested. There's a lot of traffic from shopping centers and residential areas at the nearby four-way traffic light. Once at the Sheetz, it's also crowded in the immediate vicinity with traffic going and parking for both Sheetz and a McDonald's. Once inside, we found that coffee refills were more expensive than they had been in Pennsylvania. Worse, the shop was very small, and didn't have an area in which to sit. Restroom was clean. Upon leaving, and after filling our gas tank, we noticed that the older Exxon station across the street had cheaper gas ($3.54 vs. $3.51/gallon, late March, 2024). One positive point. The cashier was very attentive and friendly.

As seems to be common at most of the gas stations that participate in this grocery store promotion, including this Shell ststion, their gas prices are up to 20 cents a gallon higher than some other nearby gas stations that do not. So in the end some of the benefits to consumers are negated by the higher prices. I'd personally rather cash in my flexible reward points on future grocery purchases instead of on gas purchases.

I talked to the man in the store and he told me that their pumps don't turn off automatically and basically it was too bad for me! The gasoline was going down a drain under my car! Apparently the guy is the owner and I told him I've been pumping gas for over 40 years. Every single pump shuts off automatically. He's got it set up so that if you don't turn it off it overflows and you have to pay for it. Very dishonest owner.

This review reflects only my personal experience and opinion, but I found the inspection results at this location to be inconsistent. I went to 2 other shops and they all had hours-long waits that wouldn't work in time for the wedding. They were able to check my car right away and when he called after a few minutes he said it was just a nail and it was all good to go! But he was fine with me leaving the car for a bit as we finished touring the local Leesburg shops. After all that he wouldn't accept a tip. This was such a lucky find for an unlucky situation.
