We had also planned to drink the coffees at one of the tables in the shop --to stretch out from our drive. The location is in an area which can best be described as congested. There's a lot of traffic from shopping centers and residential areas at the nearby four-way traffic light. Once at the Sheetz, it's also crowded in the immediate vicinity with traffic going and parking for both Sheetz and a McDonald's. Once inside, we found that coffee refills were more expensive than they had been in Pennsylvania. Worse, the shop was very small, and didn't have an area in which to sit. Restroom was clean. Upon leaving, and after filling our gas tank, we noticed that the older Exxon station across the street had cheaper gas ($3.54 vs. $3.51/gallon, late March, 2024). One positive point. The cashier was very attentive and friendly.

When I brought this to the attention of an employee and tried to just discard the item to choose something less old (because literally everything else in the warmer was dried out), the employee insisted I needed to pay for the item because I "ate it" (my blood sugar was low and the line was a few people long so I attempted to take a bite and gagged due to how disgustingly hard & crusty it was). As you can see from the picture, the entire 2 pieces are still there. No parts were actually consumed because, again, I almost threw up on their floor. I was late for an event and didn't want to be arrested over expired food on a RARE DAY OFF so I purchased a different item and reluctantly paid for the expired, rock hard cheese bread too. I actually broke one in half in front of the employee to show that it was completely dried out inside instead of being full of warm, gooey cheese, and demanded he discard the item after obtaining this pic. My advice, don't try to be respectful and polite (like I was).... sadly, it's best to be dishonest and just throw the expired food away when an employee isn't looking or else they'll make you pay for it.

The bottom line instead of waiting 2 hours in line I called Virginia Auto in Ashburn I was in and out in less then 30 minutes without the chaos of Shell on Market Street in Leesburg. My advice is go anywhere else but Shell on market street. Easier and cost the same. Shout out to Virginia Auto in Ashburn the earned 5 stars and if I could give shell a zero I would.
