Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend getting a Virginia safety inspection at Jock's Exxon. My vehicle failed inspection here, so I took it to an independent licensed mechanic and completed the recommended repairs. When I returned to Jock's Exxon for re-inspection, the vehicle failed again. Later that same day, I took the same vehicle--without any additional repairs--to a different Virginia-licensed inspection station, where it passed a full safety inspection. This review reflects only my personal experience and opinion, but I found the inspection results at this location to be inconsistent. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion if your vehicle fails inspection here. read more

He wouldn't let me tip! I'm in town for a wedding and my tire pressure went low as soon as we got into town. I went to 2 other shops and they all had hours-long waits that wouldn't work in time for the wedding. They were able to check my car right away and when he called after a few minutes he said it was just a nail and it was all good to go! But he was fine with me leaving the car for a bit as we finished touring the local Leesburg shops. After all that he wouldn't accept a tip. I had to take my Fiat convertible in for a serious repair. I was helped by Roger and Elie. At no point in time did I think these guys were trying to nickel and dime me for anything. They were very upfront and honest with their recommendations, even when it didn't make them any money. They found what was wrong with the car and updated me throughout the entire process. I ended up having to take the car to a Fiat dealership, given the scarcity of parts. Their goal was to get my car back on the road as quickly and efficiently as possible, even if that meant not doing the repair themselves. Their rates are very reasonable and the guys working there are extremely polite. Thanks for them, specially Mario, who did help me i with his kind personality in my darkness time. I have been a Leesburg resident for over 20 years and have used most of the auto repair shops in town at one point. Two times now I've been to jocks and at each time I receive outstanding customer service and they were very quick to perform the job. Their prices are very fair (i'll tell them) And they get you right in. They are under new management and so far two thumbs up. read more

Have been going there for many, many years. Today I needed just $10 worth of gas, and I didn't want a large authorization on the card, so I went into the station to prepay. The lady who works there was just as rude as you can be. The first thing she said was "is the pump not working?". I said I don't know because I don't want a big authorization on my card so I am prepaying. She said "oh, so you want the $75 authorization to be on me instead". I honestly couldn't even believe what I was hearing. I said I didn't understand why she was being rude to customers going there to purchase a product. She informed me that I was the one being rude. ??? Prepaying didn't seem to be a long, involved process, and there were no other people waiting, so I guess she was just offended that she had to do some work. I won't ever go there again even though it is the closest gas station to my house. This woman has been rude before, but today just she outdid herself. read more

Called to set up a safety inspection and emissions test. Was told to bring in, 2 cars ahead. Arrived to be told would be a wait of several hours, and was told I had never called in to start with. It's too bad that their awful customer experience extends beyod their service. I live in the neighborhood and have awlays walked down to get gas for my mower or get state inspection for my car. That will no longer be the case after I witnessed them allow their neighbor to fell 40+ year old trees on Jock's property, forever changing the aesthetic natural beauty of the place. As a gas station, options are pretty limited in contributing to the character of the neighborhood, and destroying one of the few things they had going for it means they've just destroyed one more regular customer in the process. After experiencing my share of terrible auto repair service-- especially around Loudoun County, and even giving this Exxon and second chance I am very happy to say Julian is the most down to earth and HONEST mechanic I have ever paid to work on my baby haha. Let me start with my first experience at this Exxon repair shop. I brought in my Nissan versa during the winter of '11 to have a random noise inspected. After being highly skeptical I decided to not go with their diagnosis... honestly don't remember what it was. They charged me $40 just for looking at it. I vowed to never return. However since they've changed hands, and my boyfriend has been a loyal customer for two years I decided to give them a second try (not to mention I just got a ticket for not having my inspection up to date, and jock's exxon was the third place I finally caved into, so I could avoid further penalities). At the time I had just ordered a new air filter and Julian explained/assisted us in installing it AT NO CHARGE :) So I've since gotten my inspection done, and Julian was fast, helpful about my ticket, and far exceeded my expectations. I returned in the beginning of May for my passenger window,as it was off-track and no longer operational. Julian was able to get the work done in a reasonable amount it time, and for more than $70 less than the dealership would have charged. Sooo give this place a try, as long as you deal directly with Julian you won't regret it! read more

Had a flat tire. Took in for them to repair. Said couldn't be repaired that it was cut. Still charged me $25. Never took tire off rim. Took it back to where I bought it and they had it repaired in 20 minutes. Buyer beware. Definitely not the same as when it was run 30 years ago! read more

I had been to 3 other Auto Stations in Leesburg at around 1:00p.m. on 8/10/17, simply needing an inspection. (All 3 Stations had a 2-3hr. wait). Fortunately for me, I asked a few people at the Bank and Auto Zone and each one said, Go to "Jock's Exxon..I never heard of them I replied and each said, you will love them. I am thankful that I was advised, because when I arrived, I was greeted by Mario, LeRoy, Margaret and Abbe, who where so kind and I loved the laid back, sincere attitude that made me feel relaxed, not to mention, Abbe was right on my vehicle and within 30 minutes, I was done. If you are going to this Inspection Station, know their process before you go because the people there won't help you. I arrived and checked in with the clerk at 8:00 am for a safety inspection. The clerk told me that they started inspections at 9:00 am and did not tell me or offer me a "ticket." He saw me pull into the parking area right of the islands (as directed on their signs) and never bothered to say anything. At around 8:45 am, several other vehicles showed up for inspections. When I spoke to the clerk again, he said the other vehicles had tickets and were ahead of me. When I asked how that happened, he explained I needed a ticket. I asked him how a customer gets a ticket, he explained from him. Not knowing that, I asked him why when I checked in with him almost 40 minutes earlier, why he didn't offer me a ticket. He also saw me waiting in the parking area and still didn't say anything. The clerk acknowledged all that I am stating above but then apologized and said he'd only been there for 2 months. I asked if he would put me back in the correct position (1st in line) and he said he couldn't and even if he tried, the inspector would take me first. In the end, his lack of knowledge or screw up became my problem and my waste of time. WILL NEVER GO TO THIS STATION AGAIN!!! read more

Beware never take your car for repair or for that matter anything. I was told my car need a right front axle and wheel bearing. My car was there for over a week and day after day excuse after excuse my car was not ready. Finally picked it up today they put the axle in backwards, did not put the transmission seal on and when I picked my car it was leaking oil.They also charged me full price and ruined my car. I would not even get gas at jocks Exxon. They are criminals especially Shari who works at the register. read more

One and done. Dropped car off Friday night to be safety inspected Saturday. I call them Saturday at about 4 pm, the person says the inspector didn't make it in and she thought she'd called everyone to let them know. Okay, everyone makes mistakes. So I get an appointment for 6 pm Tuesday when the inspector is back. I take the car in, and I'm told "whew, it's gonna be a while". There's 7 vehicles ahead of me. Nah, this feels like karma is telling me to go, go. I'm pretty patient, but I really got the feeling that there was a good chance for more failure if I stayed, so I'm going to drive another day with an expired sticker. I have been going to Jocks for Years and have only had great service from them. The office staff is all very helpful and willing to do whatever it takes to get me in and out. My mother also has gone to this station and is disabled and whenever she needs gas all she has to do is honk her horn and someone will come out and pump her gas take payment with a smile even in pouring down rain. I only have my mechanicl work done here on my 2003 BMW and never have felt over priced or skimmed on service. I would recommond this station to all my friends and family. read more

Excellent service with personality and a smile is only exceeded by a small stuffed bear given to a six year old... Clean, well-lit, "personal", and now my daughter's favorite "errand". I brought my car in for a State Inspection last month and the inspector failed my car. He said that my car's third brake light was out. He put a rejection sticker on my car and pulled it out of the Bay for me. Then i got in the car and pressed the brake pedal and the 3rd brake light lit up. I called him back and told him. He said that it wasnt working when he did it. Then he tried to justify it and blah blah blah. I was just happy that it worked. He then said something along the lines of that it's going to break tomorrow but since it works now i'll pass it. Well a month later, it still works. This inspector is a hack and was rude to make that comment like i didnt know what i was talking about. The inspector was a hispanic male who i was told was new there. this was the basis of my rating. read more

Took my car in for an oil change and when I received the car back and drove over 50 mph the car started making a terrible noise. When I pulled over I noticed the splash guard, under the oil filter, was dragging on the ground. When I took the car back that day to have them replace the part, they refused, saying I must have hit something. I had driven the car a total of 5 miles from the shop and had absolutely not hit anything. A $40 oil change will not cost me $160 in new parts. I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere. Really nice people but they won't fix your car. I brought my truck in for the Power Steering pump and the Power Steering hose. After I got it back the pump was fixed but the hose wasn't so they "fixed it" again and tried to charge me for it again. Then wouldn't you know 2 weeks later I notice my truck is leaking something so I checked it out and it was the same hose. Needless to say I will never take my truck or any other vehicle back there, and you would recommend anybody reading this review to take you're business elsewhere. read more
