Never heard of this place until we saw the signage coming into Charleston WVA. Coming through on…read moreour way to Charlotte, we said we'd stop on the way back ... and we did a few days later. Their location is primo as it is easy-on and easy-off, and they are located right next to a gas station and 100 yards from a grocery store ... so kudos for location. When we visited we were making time on the road so we used the drive-through, which was super handy for those on the move. Maybe next time we'll use the sit-in, full-service dining room, which did look inviting. For a dish, we had just what you'd expect and just what they are known for ... a biscuit. Since we weren't quite ready for a full meal, we passed up all the combinations you can have with your biscuit ... egg, sausage patty, cheese, blueberries, etc. ... but even with just a plain biscuit this was a five star event. The biscuit was tender on the inside and slightly crispy on the top and bottom ... simply a wonderful biscuit. I ate all of my biscuit's top and bottom, and my mate did the same. While the inside was also lush, the slightly crispy top and bottom and perfectly done buttery biscuit made it a winner. Now that we know what Tudors is all about ... and they have dozens of retail outlets around, mostly through Ohio ... we will make sure to stop again when we see one, especially on our jaunts between Chicago and Charlotte. Recommended.

I had first heard about it on their last day of the season in 2021. 2022 they didn't open for personal reasons, so we were excited to hear about the opening this year! We went for lunch, and we were not disappointed! The portions were large, messy, and so incredibly delicious! While people with better manners than I might have gone for a fork, I made do with my hands and a stack of napkins! We both got the deep fried tacos, which were literally as big as our heads. Filled with meat, cheese, banana peppers, jalapeños, tomato, onion and shredded lettuce, these things were massive! We chatted with the owners, and if we weren't sold on the place before, their enthusiasm, personality and love of the people of WV would have done it! They were gearing up for the busy weekend ahead of travelers and trail riders, and we look forward to returning!

I decided to give Burger Carte another chance. I've been a customer all of my life. It was a staple of my childhood. I'm glad I stopped in today. The food was excellent. The hotdog was good. The slaw was nice and sweet. My Big Gene was messy but super yummy. Big Gene special sauce was just like it used to be back in the day. HIGHLY recommend Bammy's Hot Dogs! We love the quintessential WV hot dog with chili sauce, onions,…read moremustard, and Cole slaw, so it was our mission to try as many as possible during our visit. I saw this one Yelp and loved that it was locally owned and focuses primarily on hot dogs and similar foods. Although they also put ketchup on their WV dogs, we opted for them without and they were by far our favorite!! Located on what appears to be a main drag of town, it's unassuming but also spacious if someone wants to sit and eat. The people who run it are super friendly, accommodating, and happy to help - something that's truly hard to come by in Florida. As for the food, it was SO good! We ordered 12 WV hot dogs, 1/2 regular and 1/2 with the Cole slaw on the side for better leftovers. Not only were they delicious, but they were happy to put the Cole slaw on the side so they made great leftovers too! We also tried the corn dogs, fries, onion rings, and fried bologna sandwich (another WV staple we are trying everywhere we can). The corn dogs were corn dogs and the fries were okay (we had gotten them for the kids), but the onion rings were very tasty and the fried bologna sandwich was amazing!! Their sauce is both slightly sweet but also has a nice kick - almost like Arby's sauce with some spice, and we all loved it! We have since tried 2 other bologna sandwiches and 3 other WV hot dogs and none have been as good as Bammy's so far! They definitely know how to do WV comfort food! If you ever find yourself in NW WV, you've got to try this place! E
