We keep seeing Tudor's Biscuit World around so decided to try since we love biscuit and gravy! Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - didn't see dinner options so we ordered a Ron Biscuit (sausage, egg, and cheese) and a Super Breakfast Platter with bacon, two over easy eggs, fried potatoes, fried apples, biscuit, and gravy. The biscuit sandwich was decent overall but on the drier side. The fried potatoes were a bit soggy and the apples were too sweet. It's very obvious that the biscuit is quite dry when it's by itself. The gravy does help it along but it's so salty. Definitely need a drink with all the salty food. Service: 5/5 - friendly and very quick service! Ambiance: n/a - ordered food to go. Not much decorations and while the location feels a bit worn, it's clean overall. Value for price: 3/5 - reasonable price but the food was only okay. read more

Never heard of this place until we saw the signage coming into Charleston WVA. Coming through on our way to Charlotte, we said we'd stop on the way back ... and we did a few days later. Their location is primo as it is easy-on and easy-off, and they are located right next to a gas station and 100 yards from a grocery store ... so kudos for location. When we visited we were making time on the road so we used the drive-through, which was super handy for those on the move. Maybe next time we'll use the sit-in, full-service dining room, which did look inviting. For a dish, we had just what you'd expect and just what they are known for ... a biscuit. Since we weren't quite ready for a full meal, we passed up all the combinations you can have with your biscuit ... egg, sausage patty, cheese, blueberries, etc. ... but even with just a plain biscuit this was a five star event. The biscuit was tender on the inside and slightly crispy on the top and bottom ... simply a wonderful biscuit. I ate all of my biscuit's top and bottom, and my mate did the same. While the inside was also lush, the slightly crispy top and bottom and perfectly done buttery biscuit made it a winner. Now that we know what Tudors is all about ... and they have dozens of retail outlets around, mostly through Ohio ... we will make sure to stop again when we see one, especially on our jaunts between Chicago and Charlotte. It took a little bit for us to realize this was actually a chain but it certainly look like a mom and pop shop. The biscuit was huge and delicious. We had one with bacon and egg and cheese. I think they called it a Mary Jane? Not much ambience, but the lady working, the counter was friendly and helpful! A nice little sidetracked to our journey of it for the day! read more

Tudor's is a paragon of fast food. Offering hearty, reasonably priced, damn tasty food and friendly service, this place is the chain restaurant equivalent of breakfast at grandma's. The coffee is surprisingly good and the biscuits are terrific - big, tender butter bombs. I had not been to a Tudor's since childhood and wondered if it would still be as delicious as I remembered. It was even better. The key to an optimal Tudor's experience is the hash brown patty. I'm a bit of a health food weirdo and the whole fried starch + more fatty starch thing is abhorrent to me. And yet, I cannot get a breakfast sandwich here that doesn't include the hash brown patty. That bit of crunchy, salty oomph takes the biscuit sandwich to the next level. We ate here twice while on our road trip - and the fan favorite was the Dottie. This biscuit is topped with egg, a slice of cheese, and the much adored hash brown. My husband liked that it was "lighter" than the meat topped options, although the Thundering Herd (Dottie + sausage), Golden Eagle (Dottie + Canadian bacon), and Mountaineer (Dottie + country ham) all received rave reviews. I think this location and company is going downhill . Have they changed cooks here ? My apples were more like applesauce today , and mushy . My husbands food the big tater was nasty and had hardly any cheese on it . The quality of the food just gets worse and worse here . We moved out of state for 4 years and missed tudors so much , but now that we're back we have tried it 3 separate times and all three have been less than satisfactory . Please train people better in the original ways of preparing the food like it used to be . The marmet location is better than this location but that's not saying much either . I have never been disappointed in this business or restaurant or food until here recently . read more

Tudor's is Tudor's. This site is relatively clean but horribly cramped. Friendly staff are asking your order prior to reaching the fella who takes your order. The guy that took my order today was very detail oriented even sending the food back to insure correctness. I was impressed. read more

I used to love this Tudors but the last 2 times not so much. Wait staff and kitchen staff were rude. the waitress took one order at a time and finished that order before moving on to next customer. while I was there 2 people walked out. Last year this was a good place to eat. read more
