It was ordered with the sesame dressing and perfectly grilled shrimp. The beer selection is adequate, but the ones on tap could be colder. I suggest adding outdoor electric or gas heaters so the patio can be used year-round, as the restaurant is small. The service was great on our first visit and a little slow getting started the second time. I always tell people that I can be super patient, as long as you acknowledge my presence. If no one comes to my table, I assume the wait staff is either ignoring me or no one knows who is assigned to my table. Happy to have this restaurant here in GBC!

She didn't have an answer and seemed confused. Then she walked across the room and pulled something off the wall and came back to our table. She said these are our specials and proceeded to run down them. Ok, weird since why wouldn't they always go through the specials, and this is also not what I asked. So I asked her again in a different way, what are they known for. She was still confused and then just ran through the regular menu items. Ok, so absolutely no useful guidance on the menu and their food. Anyways, I ordered the steak frites, medium. It came out with absolutely no sear and was rare. Additionally the cut was very fatty, with large chunks of fat on each piece of meat. Yuck. The lady had the 456 cheeseburger and said it was delish. Rating edit: Downgraded from 2 to 1 stars after a nasty case of food poisoning started the next day.

My wife had called about the Schnitzel and if they were still serving it. They have it on the menu for Oktoberfest. She had mentioned that because of Hogan's Heroes and all the German food they talk about on the show, I had a craving for German cooking. They usually serve it on days I work. However, I was off this past Saturday so she had asked if they would contact her if they were going to serve Schnitzel this Saturday. They contacted her and that yes, they were going to have it on the menu. We were excited that we were going to sample some good German cuisine. We brought a couple of our friends with us. The meal consisted of the Schnitzel (very tender pork cutlet that you can easily cut with a fork), warm German potato salad with a perfectly tangy taste, homemade spätzle and of course sauerkraut.
