Super busy and on a main road (Annapolis Road). Very much overpriced, but I was low on fuel, so convenience took precedence. There's a Exxon just down the street toward Route 32 for 30-40 cents cheaper per gallon if you can hold off a mile or so. read more

I visited the Shell gas station located 1356 Dorsey Road in Hanover Maryland. I selected regular gas and when I printed the receipt, it charged me for Supreme. The manager on duty acted like he didn't know what was going on. They are scamming customers. read more

Sent a friend he ordered parts for repairs and was told a quote and when to bring car in now they don't have waiting area and need to keep car that's what was told today and they may find something else but he didn't tell them he had already had the car diagnosed by Firestone that's why he ordered the parts he needed and there is a small waiting area read more

Took my car for an oil change & noticed the headlight wasn't working that same night. I asked them about it & they said those lights just go out & they could fix it for $100. When I took it to another mechanic (because I had a problem like this before with this Shell) they stated the light was unplugged. SMH Very Shady! They lost a customer read more

They are ripping Giant rewards customers off. I have 1500 giant rewards points which equals $1.50 off per gallon up to 35 gallons. Twice we have went there and after we did all the steps were charged regular price. read more

Paul, the chief mechanic, is terrific -- intelligent, honest and skilled. Went for a State inspection (new to Maryland), left with a new friend. read more

Giant Reward Customers beware, this station conveniently cancels transactions with reward card savings. When you swipe again, you will have lost the full amount and "it's not their problem". read more

Paul is your guy as far as automotive care. A trustworthy, kind hearted guy. I came here new to Maryland and broke and stressed and starting a new life. Paul really made me feel comfortable and helped me get everything tested n fixed for marylands car regulations. He made me feel welcome here when I really needed it. I've since taken all 3 of my vehicles to Paul anytime anything happens. Sometimes it's just me being paranoid and he's honest and tells me there's nothing wrong, whereas your average mechanic would just invent issues to get your money. I can't tell you how nice it is to have a reliable, HONEST mechanic. I drive a lot and have 3 vehicles and soon more (I own a business). It's such a comfort to know Ive got a trustworthy person to call when I need car help/questions/repairs. read more

I took my car to Kenny to have my flex pipe welded. Come to find out he used putty on my flex pipe instead of welding it. When I confronted him, he would not give me a refund or fix the issue. Also, he does not call you when your car is finished nor does he answer the phone when you call to check on your car. DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

Negative stars, just wow. Tire going flat with a nail in it, closest place was here, pull in and walk around until I can find someone, who tells me they're busy it would be over an hour to get to it. I say thanks, figure will try across street but tire has gone totally flat in meantime so go back and explain, say will hang around, but guy keeps doing stuff and ignores me for about five minutes until the other guy sees this and comes over to say they are getting ready for an inspection and won't help me, so I am literally sitting here writing this as I wait for AAA to help change the tire in the parking lot of their service center. Wow. If they got that much to fix for an inspection.. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more

This station took our Giant points without giving the discount we had earned. The cashier rather than addressing the issue, lied with a straight face claiming we were getting a discount and tried to confuse us by different prices they had posted for regular purchases and discounted purchases with a car wash, which we had not gotten. These folks are pure con artists and we have reported them to Giant. We later learned from another friend they had the exact same experience. read more

I wouldn't recommend they seem nice but there looking for the old people with the big pockets they'll give you a half a** job anyday just stay away read more

We went to this Shell to get gas and planned to use our Giant points. The points did not come off of the total. We went inside to speak to the manager and he played dumb. We should have saved 70 cents. It was frustrating. Once we got home I checked my Giant account and the points were gone. Will never go back to this business. Disreputable. read more

The night time cashier was the rudest individual I've ever encountered. He messed up my transaction so badly that he resorted to trying to blame me for his mistakes, but the fun didn't stop there. He insult me for 5 minutes, and brought his race, age & family connections to the business as proof that he was untouchable. I ultimately left without gas and took my business elsewhere. I strongly recommend that you avoid this shop that obviously has no problem with such an abusive employee representing them. read more

Saw the good reviews here and thought it'd be good to bring my car here for a state inspection. Unfortunately, they assured me that my car needed to have both of its front tires replaced in order to pass inspection. Took the car to two other mechanics and both of them assured me this was not the case and finally the second performed the full state inspection and passed the car with no additional repairs necessary (Thrifty Auto Shop in Annapolis). May have just been a fluke experience (appears to be the case based on the other reviews). However, I will be looking to do business elsewhere based on this poor experience. read more

This gas station is so small that you have to play Tetris with the other cars just to get to the pump. Sometimes if a person parks and goes into the convenience store you will get trapped at the pump until they move. This gas station is more like a junk yard, there's always at least 12 cars parked there abandoned. read more

Car broke down by Giant, so I walk over to the Shell. Mechanic said he can help but I would need to tow car to his lot. I and some amazing bystanders pushed the car over. His assessment... needs a new starter. Ok how much to fix it if I get the part at Advanced Auto. Kenny (mechanic) said $250 for labor and no warranty if I buy the part. Too Make matters worse he tells me I have to pay for him to use his tow truck to move the car from in front of his bay to put it in his bay. I told him we can push it. See now he took it to far. During this time we are all facing a terrible time with the Covid-19 outbreak and Kenny will try to take advantage of you. He came up with several excuses as to why he needed to charge me an extra $75 to move the car three feet, none of them made sense. He even contradicted himself saying tow trucks refuse to put cars in his bay? He cares more about getting your money, this is not the kind of person you want working on your car. You cannot trust him. read more

If I can put 0 stars for the service I received today. The cashier Ling Lee was very rude and disrespectful. All because I said I want to use my reward number in. She became nasty and rude. I've been going there for years and never had a problem. She called me all types of names. I will be reporting her to the manager and have them review the cameras read more

I shop at Giant and I had rewards points that I wanted to use. I had 30 or $.40 off per gallon I can't remember but after I filled up my car, I got a couple gas cans out of my trunk that I wanted to fill to take home. He saw what I was doing and he cut the pump off. He told me I had to pay again if I wanted to fill up the gas cans He did not want me to fill two 5-gal cans at the reduced rate. I won't get gas here again unless absolutely necessary. There are plenty of other gas stations to give my money to. The older guy inside that wears the turban just looked at me with a grin on his face one time because I didn't understand how to use the Giant rewards with the credit card machine inside. He just looked at me and stared as if to say well I don't even want to imagine. But it didn't leave me with a very good feeling. Where has our America gone? I Still remember when I was 16 (1978) the friendly Amoco station that used to be on the corner up by the circle and the Exxon as well where the 7-Eleven is now. I remember friendly Gas station attendants that used to come out and fill your car up for you and wipe your windshields and check your oil. I miss those days! read more

Though our family lives in Howard County, we continue to travel to John at Odenton Shell for all our car's mechanical needs. We have used his services for over 15 years because he has impeccable integrity and is incredibly kind. When other repair shops (or our car dealership) tells us of the costly repairs they believe we need, we can count on John to be honest about what truly is needed. He has saved us hundreds of dollars over the years and an immeasurable about of distress and headache. We trust him and there's nothing more valuable to us then that. Thank you, John! read more

The head mechanic (Kenny) is rude and disrespectful. It's obvious that he does not understand the meaning of Customer Satisfaction. Spare yourself the aggravation and disappointment with the services at Odenton Shell - Go elsewhere. read more

This is the worst place to take your business. I've tried it twice due to the good reviews and both times were disappointing and terrible. The John that everybody knows and loves is no longer there. They can't do inspections to save their lives. Don't bother using their website, the hours are wrong and they don't even use the online appointment feature. Why have it?! Overall horrible establishment and bad business practices. Better off elsewhere. read more
