Not every…read moreAmerican business I'm giving a good 4 or 5 stars to, but I appreciate the 7-Eleven brand, as it's convenient. My local 7-Eleven is a mixed bag. In recent times, it's been my most common gas station I go to as with my 7 cents off, it's generally cheaper than the BP across the street or any of the other stations in Maryland City. Gas pumps work well. It's rare I ever buy anything in there. I bought Powerball tickets a couple of times and various food items. Customer service is so so. Sometimes they are nice, but usually almost no nice interaction, just pay & go. I did the $3.14 Pi day pizza deal a couple of times. Pizza was pretty good, but kind of made me a bit sick with all the weird ingredients in there. Only a once a year event for me. Often times, I notice vagrants hanging around. One time one came up to me at the gas pump to ask for money. This seems to be common at 7-Eleven at many locations. Overall, 7-Eleven has some good deals on gas and a mix of good & bad, but some better options for convenience store food options like my nearby Royal Farms, or Wawa in Hanover or over locations in AA & neighboring counties.

However, the 2nd W is from 7/4/25 as a recent experience, I want to review too. Been to this Wawa several times since living in Russett the past 5 years. I used to go to Wawa at a former company I was with in Halethorpe as it was super close to my office, and the sandwiches were delicious. Like Halethorpe, the sandwiches called "Hoagies" are delicious. You order on the screen and can customize your hoagie how you want and add whatever other items. I've gone in there for just a customized iced coffee drink, which are delicious too, with seasonal flavors like peppermint & pumpkin spice. As I'm writing this review in July, I could really go for some Christmas in July with peppermint! Staff is relatively efficient & cordial. There's been a couple of times it took a while, but that was more that I was going at a peak time. My girlfriend & I went here one time on Saturday, August 3, 2024 before a movie. We both enjoyed our sandwiches. My biggest issue with Wawa is that there is no seating, and that's what makes me often not choose Wawa. We didn't mind the heat wave and were willing to eat outside, but there's no comfortable area to sit on the ground. So, we dealt with eating in the car like animals potentially making a mess in the car (at least with the AC running, but wasting gas). In spite of a couple of negatives, overall a positive experience and will return as it's sometimes a convenient & delicious option.

Friday nights seem to be the young kids hangout spot. There are cars and kids everywhere; even blocking the gas pumps. I usually get the four piece dark chicken; and sometimes add the soft pretzel if it's not too late (low carbs at night). The chicken was seasoned well and had the right amount of crunch. The potato wedge was a bit soft. I put it in my air fryer for 10 minutes to make it crispy. The workers at the hot bar are awesome. If there is an issue, they'll let you know. They have allowed substitution when they were out of what I ordered. The inside of the store is kept neat. I also want to highlight that Royal Farms has the lowest gas in the area. I was surprised to discover that their gas was 20 cent per gallon less than other nearby gas stations. I will now plan my monthly visit to include my tank fill up too.

I promptly contacted the store and spoke with the manager. He offered a sincere apology and assured me that the matter would be appropriately addressed, including reinforcing food-preparation and handling standards with the staff. Although I appreciate his professionalism and willingness to resolve the issue, finding hair in prepared food is unacceptable and completely ruined my meal. Because of this experience, I must say this has ruined my experience, moving forward.
