What makes this Texaco a little more special than others is the fact that it does have a fresh kitchen inside that makes great breakfast tacos, fried chicken and catfish along with some other offerings. I stopped in here to purchase six breakfast tacos which were $22. They were made fresh to order, not sitting under a heat lamp. The odd thing I noticed, was the fact they don't have any prices posted. I got them to go, but they do have some tables to sit at inside. They do have a coffee bar, but it's not up to the standards of the latest Quik trip. It's a decent gas station/convenience store with eight pumps, an ATM inside and propane tanks for rent. I was told to get there early because the pineapple's go fast. Score...I found a stack of pineapples to choose from and more! Pork skins is what you normally find in a San Antonio super market. However, the pork skins in JD's Super Market are massive. Never seen such large pork skins in my life. Also, I found some Mexican drinks like Agua Fresca (refreshing drink made with fresh fruits blended or squeezed into water, often sweetened with sugar) and horchata (creamy drink made from rice, cinnamon, and vanilla, popular in Mexico). There were a variety of sweet treats on the shelf as well as grab and go that you do not typically see in other super markets. I imagine if you looking for exotic spices or unusual goods, this is the market for you.

You can get dried hibiscus and chamomile flowers if you're looking to make your own tea blend. The cashiers are definitely lackadaisical but I've never seen one be rude. Lots of items are definitely more expensive than HEB, but it does offer being closer and on my way to/from work. Hubs has ordered food from the restaurant inside and says it's pretty good. The older generation was just raised with more manners. The store was not that clean on the inside, a little messy. Getting in and out of the parking lot was simple and there were plenty of gas pumps and parking. This was way better experience now that the construction is done. This store is located on the corner of 290 heading east. The store has a very good coffee bar and Slurpee station. It also offers some hot to go food at the register. They have lots of singleserve drinks but their craft beer selection is very limited. One drawback is that they have a single unisex bathroom. They do at least have a propane exchange in case you need a tank for your gas grill. The store appears fairly clean and well run. It's definitely a good stop on your morning commute into Austin.

The price here was crazy high!…read more There are a lot of pumps and there is a store attached... however by the time I paid the almost .20 more a gallon (then at the 7/11, HEB, or Walmart) I was ticketed that I hadn't been paying more attention to my gauge, thus ending up having to stop here in the first place... I basically had no desire to see what was inside. Insult to injury... the receipt didn't work on the pump and I had to go inside to get one... great way to add fuel to my fire.
