None of the pumps worked when I went was trying to fuel with 93. Place looks terrible too.

This is a small gas station past the Michigan Ave area. It has access for both major corners. It's small - there are no bells or whistles, but it provides the basic necessities. There is also a bicycle area to put air in tires and sufficient trash containers. I did notice gas here was about 0.75cent/gallon cheaper than it is for stations located off the Dan Ryan express. read more

I had to make a bit of an emergency re-fuel here since my tank was running low. I usually try to avoid filling up downtown but this location was just fine. My fuel rewards were accepted without issue and I was in and out of there in no time. read more

I will go to this gas station because it's near my home, but that's about the only reason. I recently needed propane for my grill. It was on a Saturday, and Amerigas was closed. I pay $18 at Amerigas, and Shell wanted to charge me $50. Last week I cruised in, and all of the pumps were off. And we're not talking at an unusual hour...it was during regular business hours. I asked what was going on, and the guy in the hut told me that he was waiting for the next guy's shift to start. He turned off all the pumps, and told me I could wait 10 minutes until the new guy got there. It was ridiculous, and when I expressed that it was ridiculous, he said, "Well, that's how we do things here." They lost a sale this time. I'll go elsewhere next time. read more

This is a little station with lots to offer. You can not only get the cheapest gas prices in downtown chicago for the best gas but you can fill your tires for a 3 minute air machine timer and 3 vacuums working to keep your car clean. For as lil as it is, you may find the cigarettes at a much cheaper rate and they always have an offer of 50 cents off 2 pack purchase and a $ off, 3 pack purchase, to sweeten the deal. They also have a host of candy bars not easily visible, chips and gums for a quick stop. Under the new management, the station is more cleaner with the exception of the restroom which is unhygienic coz of chicago cabbies using it mostly. You can also find cigars, water, red bull, monster and auto stuff like fix a flat, gas cans 2 gallon, power steering, brake fluid, coolant, windshield, motor oil at a very reasonable pricing for a shell location right in the heart of the city. read more

This seems like a scene out of Hill Street Blues. I'm always nervous when coming here - even though the prices are usually reasonable (for the city!). Downside, don't let those vending machines fool you. If you're thirsty, you might be better off peeing in a cup. The car wash probably last worked when we invaded Iraq (the first time). read more

I went here November 8th, 2016 to get a car wash for a 3-week old car that was in pristine condition. The guy at the car wash entrance instructs me to roll my windows up, I'm thinking because I'm about to drive into the car washing area, so I comply. The next thing I know my car is being roughly handled by what I hoped was not a PUSH BROOM (it absolutely did not look like a detailing brush). I thought maybe I was being paranoid, I hoped I was being paranoid. I go through the wash, pull out and head to class. After leaving class that night, I stop at another well-lit gas station for snacks, I get out to discover the entire body of my car is scratched, literally, everywhere, both sides, the back, the trunk, and 3 inches onto the hood on each side(where he stopped brush. I felt nauseous. My class lets out pretty late so I headed back to the car wash the next day. The first guy tells me, that broom doesn't scratch anybody's car, so why would it scratch mine? Then he said he couldn't see the very visible scratches, then he said it's just the way my car is painted? Then he points to some 10 year old, beat up car and goes "see, that's just how they look." Finally, he gets the manager who upon inspection begins laughing and says "you're worried about these minuscule scatches?" SERIOUSLY, first of all they aren't minuscule , they were the first thing I noticed when I got under some decent light (and I wasn't even looking for scratches, I just barely glanced at the car) a few hours after leaving their car wash, second of all, you can't damage someone's property, laugh at them and act like it's not a big deal. I will go through the proper channels to make sure they are held accountable for ruining my brand new car, and I strongly suggest no one uses this carwash (or patronize this establishment at all). read more
