I've pulled up on this spot numerous times. Overall pretty good spot for gas. PROS -A tad cheaper than surrounding gas stations in the area -Can fill up on either side regardless of where your tank is situated CONS -Susceptible to long lines due to the fact some people seem to have never filled gas before -Requires a Costco membership POWER MOVES -Pulling up on the second spot and finishing filling up before the car ahead of you has finished. This review would be a one star if ANDREW the gas attendant didn't save the day. On the Saturday before NYE I picked up some items for my grandma she wanted at Costco for her holiday party before picking up my uncle going through chemo. I was running ahead of schedule then I spent 20 minutes waiting for gas and running on time. I get to the gas pump, slide my Costco card, fine, slide my credit card and it will not read. Typically I could then pay by cash or use some other type of card but Costco ONLY accepts Visa. I honk my horn no one comes. I hunt down the gas attendant who happened to be Andrew this day and he was incredibly busy. It was explained to me the gas pump card reader is extremely sensitive. As my card reads pretty much everywhere else. All I'm going to say is Andrew went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure I was able to fill up my tank after waiting in line. Had he not of helped me out...I would have wasted about 40 minutes then going to get gas elsewhere and then got to my uncles late and then my grandma's late (with the food) and I would of had to explain over and over how I waited in a 20 minute line for gas, tried to get gas for another 5 minutes and ultimately couldn't get gas and had to go somewhere else. They would not have believed me. I know we have bigger things to worry about in today's world but in my grandma's older age she has become increasingly anxiety filled and if I was 30 minutes late getting to the Christmas party with the appetizers and people showed up without the appetizers out...she'd have had a fit and I would have ruined Christmas in her eyes. So I cannot thank Andrew enough for saving Christmas for my grandma! read more

I love the products Costco offers - many unique items. I have been a customer for many years and I just love to shop here. Sams club Sam's Club isn't my favorite place in normal times. There are some bizarre folks that hang out at these clubs, but this place gets all the love in the world from me during the COVID situation. read more

If it weren't for other people who want cheap gas... I would rate this place 5 stars for the prices. I can't speak for the quality of the gas compared to other premium gas, but my car still runs fine and I see other nice cars gassing up there so it must be ok. The prices are always lower than any local stations. I only have 3 complaints and none of them are really Costco's problems. 1) they only accept Costco credit or AmEx. 2) people who don't realize their gas lines are extra long so you don't have to wait in the line with "your" side of the gas tank 3) long lines many times because everyone wants to get cheap gas. Other than that, I would have given 5 stars LOL. It definitely is an extra perk of being a Costco member. read more

This Costco gas station is located in the same plaza as Ulta and Golfsmith. My husband and I made a quick run over here this past Monday to fill up our car rental on our last night in Chicago because Costco gas is one of the cheapest around (seems like that nation wide). I was pretty surprised to see no line when we arrived around 7:30 pm. Back at home, that would be unheard of, as that is prime time for the after work rush to fill up their cars for the rest of the week. Anyways, the price of gas on the time of our visit (May 9) was: $2.49 unleaded & $3.08 premium gas. If you want to take advantage of the cheaper price of gas, you have to either be a member of Costco, have a friend who would be willing to let you borrow his/ her membership card or you can pay with a Costco gift card (just need to reload it frequently so you can keep paying for your gas this way); even if you are not a member. read more

They always have gas - surprise surprise! No attendant needed as is many other stations. Just use your Costco card. The gas line is long so you can pull it out in case your tank is on the other side. read more

Good prices in the city of Chicago to get gas and it works. Plenty of pumps to choose from and they open early in the morning. Unfortunately no later hours. Overall I come here when I'm in the city. Must be a club member. read more

Costco always has the cheapest gas in the area. Weirdly this Costco and its gas station were practically a ghost town, at least compared to Costco in California, where there are massive gas lines on the weekend. The hours skew earlyish in terms of opening and closing. Love that you can go to any pump and still reach your gas tank. Really no complaints. However, gas in Indiana is about 40 cents less per gallon (even than Chicago Costco), so if you're Indiana-bound definitely wait. read more

What's not to like? The place is clean, and it has the lowest prices for gas in town. The only downside is that people seem to have finally figured it out, and now there are lines for the pumps for the first time. I wish they squeegees to clean the windows, but that is a minor complaint. read more

Their hours are inconsistent. I've driven by at 8pm on weeknights and pumps are locked. I've even driven by to gas up between 630am-7am and pumps are locked...Company posts hours of operation, but doesnt follow them, especially in an area where gasoline prices are greatly inflated it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. read more

This is a great location and indeed convenient in hours and price. I was very disappointed after learning this location(1 mile from my house) charges 20-30 cents more per gallon for gas than the Costco location at Ashland and 16th. They are getting their gas from the same supplier and probably from the same truck. I would think as a member, the prices would be consistent at least in the same town rather than more expensive from one neighborhood to the next. read more

The lines are long but move pretty fast if you're patient. During peak travel seasons, you can easily save $18-$25/full tank. Avoid busy times (i.e. lunch, right after work, etc.) if you're in a rush. read more
