But what stood out here wasn't the place itself, it was the interaction inside. The gentleman working the counter was genuinely friendly in a way you don't always get at a stop like this. He noticed my New England accent right away and actually paused to ask about it. That turned into a short, easy conversation that made the whole stop feel a little more human than transactional. It wasn't anything big or dramatic, just one of those small exchanges that sticks with you because it breaks the usual rhythm of these quick roadside stops. Store itself was clean, well-stocked for what you'd expect, and easy in and out. Four stars mostly because of that interaction. The place does its job, but that bit of friendliness elevated it more than it probably should have.

It was awkward to see an old man and a young boy (probably grandpa/grandson, though) walk out of the clearly marked women's restroom. Alas, it was mostly clean.

As a disabled senior citizen, it takes my husband and I a while to fill up the RV, get snacks and check the tire pressure. Excuse us that it took almost an hour to do this, and on that trip to the gas station we probably spent only $225. She came out yelling at us that this wasn't a parking lot. No Kidding. After having a flat tire on the RV, we went to get gas and water. My husband yelled back at her, yes, he was having a bad day, but nothing would have came of it had she not started yelling at the customer FIRST.
