We used the self-checkout, paid for everything, and had our receipt showing every item we purchased. As we were leaving, a greeter began chasing after us and insinuating that we had not paid for the larger items because they did not have stickers on them. We were then stopped with someone from loss prevention standing behind us, which made us feel surrounded and as though we were being treated like we had stolen something. We explained that we had just gone through self-checkout and that no employee had put stickers on the items. More importantly, we had our receipt right there proving that we had paid for everything. Instead of simply checking the receipt and apologizing for the misunderstanding, the greeter started going off about how an employee "should have" put stickers on our items, as though that was somehow our fault. At that point, loss prevention walked away and so did we, completely baffled by how the situation had been handled. We understand stores need to prevent theft, but there is a respectful and professional way to verify a purchase. Chasing down paying customers, surrounding them with employees, and making them feel like criminals because Walmart's own employees failed to put stickers on merchandise is not it. We paid for every single item we left the store with and did nothing wrong. The entire interaction was rude, embarrassing, and completely unnecessary. I would not recommend shopping at the Shippensburg Walmart after this experience.

Sheetz is a great place for food! However this Sheetz is the slowest MTO place I have ever been to. The workers take their grand old time and hold conversations to other workers about their personal life right in front of you without any regard to the customer. Oh yea, and if you are looking for somthing hiliarious to see, go into this Sheetz on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night and look at the security guard, he is clearly either high on somthing or very drunk. I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've encountered recently, and I feel it's…read moreimportant to share so others -- and hopefully corporate leadership -- are aware. While using the restroom, I brought in a fountain soda cup to refill afterward. Upon returning to the counter, I was approached by a staff member (who I later learned was the manager) who made a disparaging remark about my cup not being from their store. When I went to check out, he directed the cashier to void my transaction and charge me a higher price for the refill, apparently because he disapproved of the cup's brand. Setting aside the fact that this cost me less than a dollar, what stood out was the way it was handled. Rather than addressing the situation professionally or discreetly, the manager chose to make a snide comment and then use his position to override a routine transaction. This kind of behavior is unprofessional and unwelcoming, and it reflects poorly on the store's management. I won't be returning to this location. It's disappointing that a matter of fifty to seventy-five cents was treated as an opportunity to embarrass a customer rather than simply process a routine refill. I'd encourage corporate to look into how this manager interacts with customers, as this is not the kind of experience that should represent the brand.

I ended up coming through this area a few times and with this Sheetz visit, I think I completed the few that were in this area. I usually need to stop part way on my way home to use the facilities or get fuel. For today's visit I needed the facilities and maybe some food (I hadn't eaten at that point). This is as near to a brand new store as you can get. The lot is huge, on a corner at a busy intersection. Along with a large lot, the store is large as well. Inside, it has that truck stop feel that some of the newer locations has. Big, bright, nice sized seating area. I went in and tapped the screen to place my order. While it is being prepared I make my way to the facilities. The facilities were immaculate, which were a bit of a surprise given how busy the store was. The food was as I expected, and missed. I made sure to get enough to enjoy on my ride and then for when I got to my destination. But before I left the lot, I took a few minutes to enjoy the night air. I putzed around outside for a few minutes and took in a phone call before jumping back into the car to head the rest of the way home.

Typically I go to the one on Black Gap Road, right off of I-81 near the mall. It's rarely packed, can usually get in and out and on my way. They don't have a big convenience store that serves a bunch of food, so you don't get a whole lot of people stopping in for that. For that reason, it cuts down on traffic flow, making it generally nicer to just pull in and fill up. I know this location had an incident at one point in the bathroom, which is outside, so I stay away at night. It's a busy location during the day, though, with Route 997 and I-81 intersecting, so it's not so scary in the daylight. It's a gas station, not much more to say, really.
