"Tossed" in buffalo sauce... uh huh.
    Liz B.

Bad. Just horrible....as far as the MTO goes. I ordered Buffalo Chicken Strips. They were supposed to be tossed in Buffalo sauce...because truly, how else would you make them? Wellllll Sheetz has a different method. Squirt buffalo sauce in the bottom of the container and then lay the chicken strips on top. Oh! You also need to serve them when they are cold. That's the Sheetz way. I waited what seemed like forever for these...25 minutes. You've been warned.

Burrito is damn good. Add totz. Trust me.

Great convenience store, as are most of the Sheetz stores. Clean bathrooms and just about anything you could want.

The ambiance of the cafe is perfect, large windows allow light to pour into the bright space, exposed brick and the high ceilings give it a turn of the century industrial feel, and the inviting seating area by the front windows makes you want to curl up with a cup of coffee and just watch the world go by. We ordered two hot drinks and three entrees. The drinks were a Red Eye coffee with a splash of cream and a Dirty Chai, as well as some of the hard stuff, aka milk for the baby. Now the food, I literally could have eaten four helpings of everything. I'm still kicking myself for not ordering something to go. My husband ordered the Cajun Omelet with breakfast potatoes, if you order nothing else, get the breakfast potatoes, as they are as near to crispy potato perfection as you can get. The youngest member of the party had a Belgian Waffle, and I had a Fried Green Tomato sandwich on a homemade biscuit. I literally licked my fingers because I did not want to waste a crumb. The ONLY disappointing thing about the cafe is that we did not stumble onto it sooner. I look forward to making this eatery a frequent go to for morning, midday or evening bites. PS - if nothing else, the pay it forward board will give you all the feels when you stop in.

I personally would prefer more cheese and less mayo, but that's just me. The real winner for me was the Green Machine Wrap. Tasty fresh spinach, roasted red peppers, sautéed 'shrooms, hummus and goat cheese in a wrap. While I did not get much of a taste of the goat cheese (Maybe overpowered by the hummus?), this wrap was absolutely delicious! $6, too! Service was quick through the Airstream window. Two containers of a Mediterranean-type salad were included. I can't wait to try more items from the lunch menu as well as breakfast! Yum!

Being in that area I was obviously surrounded by great food and amazing tacos. Since being back, I've had a craving for tacos and what the area has to offer just does not satisfy....until I had the Sprout Stream tacos by Sven. Amazing tacos at a great price and great flavors with balanced spices of heat and sweet. I tried their shredded Korean beef and kalua pork tacos. The shredded beef had a great balance of beef and spices with the cool slaw to add a layer of crunch over the tender beer. The pork tacos had the classic Hawaiian sweet flavors offset with some pickles onion for a great balance of flavors. The tacos weren't light on the meat either, so a delicious filling meal, at a great price! .

After a quick approval from him, we headed to Wrightsville for a visit to Wild Batch. Neat repurposed building just off 462 at the top of the hill...most likely an old bank. Wonderful assortment of baked goods- and by the looks of the glass display cases, this place gets hit pretty hard! 10 or so tables inside, a sofa, and a comfortable, not-hurried atmosphere. Several regulars walked in and chatted, which is a great sign. I ordered a breakfast crepe and coffee, son ordered a lunch sandwich bagel, and we split a cinnamon sugar danish- which was fantastic! The crepe- if you are a crepe connoisseur- was of the pancake-ish variety. Like a big flapjack, with egg, sausage, gouda, and avacado. Good! But as I eat more crepes, little did I know of the variety of crepes. Now you know. Son's bagel sandwich was solid, coffee was strong, and the danish- made up of twisted strands in a coil- was yes, fantastic! Looks like awesome stuff comes out of this little bakery. Presentation, plus taste. Wrightsville, I hope you support this little gem!
