Hey, I finally needed to get fuel at one of my many stops at a Sheetz. This Sheetz was busy and I…read morethought that it was going to be a headache to get fuel here. I have to say, I was wrong. Really wrong. See this location is on a very busy stretch of road and I was worried that it was going to be a hard in and out of the lot. But it was nice to have an easy in and I was able to pull right up to a pump. Did my thing, scanned my code, tapped my card, selected my fuel and I was set to go. One thing I liked about this stop was that I was able to unload my vehicle of all the loose trash I had over this past road trip. I didn't need to go inside here on this stop, but I am sure it was set up per usual, and busy as the outside. Once done, I was able to pull back out onto the road and be on my way.

Came in at 2:30- not a big rush lunch time. Two coffee orders took 20 minutes (standard lattes…read morewithout substitutions or crazy modifications). No one at the coffee counter to make the drinks. Sat there and watched a girl wait on a customer at the register, then start making the drinks, then went back when another customer came to the register. Eventually a guy actually made the drinks. I thought all the automated checkout and MTO screens were meant to expedite the experience. Definitely don't come on your lunch break (or any time really) if you aren't willing to wait. Go to a local coffee shop that has real customer service. It might be more $ but absolutely worth it to avoid the frustration.

They are the best. Honest and fair. Very prompt. They explain things to you which is so important…read more Best mechanic I ever went to.

At first, Al's was great. Good service and seemed like nice guys. Fast forward to a month ago, my…read morecheck engine light comes on. I call in, the guy at the desk said they couldn't get me in for a month and that if I can I should go somewhere else. The code for my check engine light was for spark plugs and ignition coils. I changed those out (took me about 30 minutes to do that myself). Engine was still misfiring so I kept my appointment. Prior to this, I called in to give an update and see if I could get in any earlier. A quick and short "absolutely not" was abruptly stated to me by the front desk guy. No big deal, I get you're busy. He then begins to basically scold me for changing my spark plugs and ignition coils in an incredibly unprofessional and honestly condescending way ("Clearly you didn't fix it" was one of his exact responses - thank you I already knew that but I appreciate him confirming it for me). Then I take my vehicle to them the night before my appointment. One day goes by, two days go by, three days and no call. I then take it upon myself to try and get some type of update. I call in and am told the mechanic will call me back. This was on a Friday. 5pm rolls around so I call in and the guy at the front says sorry they're gone and that I needed to wait till Monday for any type of update. I call on Monday morning. The mechanic comes back and says he switched around the spark plugs and coils and corrected the gap setting on the spark plugs. This probably means they didn't work on at it all from Wednesday morning to at least Friday afternoon. I can understand being busy but then let the customer know what's going on so I can do something else. He then said he would get back to me after he looked into a few things. Tuesday 2pm rolls around and no calls or updates. I call and they have done absolutely nothing since I talked to them Monday at 7:30am, citing that they are super busy. I can understand being busy, but I don't understand how you make an appointment, have the vehicle for at least five business days, and nothing of note was done except for switching around coils and spark plugs and correcting gap settings. They then send me out with a $184 bill for 2 hours of labor with: no definitive answers as to what is going on, just a couple possibilities/what could be causing them, and that they wanted to look into them. Great but when were these going to get looked into since you already had it for 5 days? When I explained this all, I again got the answer of "we're busy." Thanks you for nothing. I strongly believe in supporting local business, and I'm a fairly reasonable and easy going person, however this was absurd. Maybe my situation is/was unique, but I will not be going back to Al's. Very disappointing.
