Another Sheetz - lots of gas pumps - with support for touch less Apple Pay at the pump; breakfast fast food options (I'm a fan of their sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits and croissants breakfast sammiches); and clean bathrooms! #Sheetz

Chili cheese dogs (Sheetz off Sudley manor).

Sheetz has been going down hill majorly when it comes to MTO food. Last month I ordered 4 chilli cheese dogs and mini hashed browns. When I got home, they only put 2 dogs in the bag. When I called them to complain the manager said sorry nothing they could do. I called corporate after and thankfully they gave me a few coupons for free MTO items. I avoided this particular Sheetz for a month hoping the call to corporate would've been what they needed to get their act together. My first time back today, and while I got everything I ordered, it is clear they don't care about customers orders. They charge like 50¢ per dog to add chili and another 50¢ to add cheese. They put litterally less than a teaspoon of chili on the dogs, and barely touched the dogs with cheese. So basically they stole $4 on my order by doing the bare minimum. Every other Sheetz I have gone to gives you what you pay for. I may give this Sheetz another try in a few months to see if they care about reviews and do something about them. But given they've not improved after a call to corporate, I have my doubts they actually care what their customers get.

6/2/19 Sheetz is not a place I have been to often. It reminds me of a Wa Wa's. I am not sure which place came out first. The restaurant/shop is what my wife and I were really interested in. There were food you could order from just like your standard restaurant or you could grab your snack food or drinks if you wish. Let's not forget about the sugar highway from hell either. This section had the flavored drinks and ice cream section too. The floor was stick from spilled drinks. I had ice cream, but stayed away from the sugar drinks. As tempting as it was, Dikembe Mutombo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo's voice kept playing in my head. "No no no, not today." The manager I saw had the same name as me, but his name had an E at the end of my name. I have only meet four people now with the name Jelani. I have stopped being call my middle name since junior high school. Still, it's cool to see and hear an uncommon name like that in the United States. The bathrooms needed a clean up. There was a stick candy spread over portions of the floor. Not great for a first impression. Between this and the sticky floor by the sugar lane, this place wasn't bad.

Went through drive thru last night after work as I do everyday and ordered my newport short soft pack. Unfortunately I did not check them. Ready for a smoke i grabbed them out my purse they were 100's. Called Sheetz no answer. Called Balls Ford Sheetz explained what happene. The manager on duty said bring here we will exchange or i can call them and tell them yo change. Long story short took them back this am and Loida would not and even threatened to call the police on me. Excuse I work in the legal field so call them. Went to Balls Ford got them exchanged with NO NONSENSE.Let me take a pic of her name tag for this revie. SHE ROCKS

Ahhh...yeah, cheaper gas!

A newly built location and very easy in and out access. This one has a drive thru window! I like these because they are disruptors...they always start a gas war!

TEN options!

This sheetz is the best! I already love sheetz but give me a shiny new sheetz, yes please! Huge lot that they are on so getting in and out of the place isn't too difficult (unlike the Haymarket location I live near). They also have 4 diesel pumps, one at each end, which is a rare find. Very clean bathrooms (as you would hope to have after being open only a month). Now I have yet to have used their MTO (food ordering) and many complaints is geared at that. From other sheetz I've been to, for gas station food, it's good stuff. I particularly am fond of their breakfast sandwiches. But I'll update once I try the MTO here. Plus how does the drive through for MTO work?? Particularly intrigued by that. Haven't seen many people using it in the times I've been there. I was surprised to see they have 10 - yes TEN slurpee options. I tried the pineapple mango which was pretty good even though I am normally not a huge fan of slurpees. Staff I have come across so far have been very friendly. Also, I wouldn't have noticed this had I not needed it but they have air for tires at the "back" of the lot behind the gas pumps for free (many places in this area charge). It's a gas station. Don't expect too much out of it. But it is a sheetz so it's pretty great overall. Update; I have now used their MTO and their drive thru. It is on the slow side, so if you are in a hurry it might not be the best idea. But each time (twice now) the employees were quite friendly and my order was correct. Their breakfast sandwiches are my guilty pleasure. Still a fan of this place.

They have these creamer dispensers. Should always check if they are expired. My coffee taste weird so I poured it out at work to see what was wrong with it. Found some crap at the button of it. Tried to send a complain out but nobody responded back.

Sheetz! Get your gas get your MTO food and get out. If you're like me and have kids in the car you've always got the drive through if you don't want to drag the kids inside for the "I want candy" saga lol

Mozzarella Sticks, Mac N' Cheese Bites and Onion Ringz

I ordered an app platter with Mozzarella Sticks, mac and cheese bites, and onion rings. Paying $5 for this I expected more. I got half of what I would at any other sheetz. I got 3 mozz sticks, 3 mac and cheese bites and 4 onion rings. I saw reviews that said the food comes out slow, this came out after a normal amount of time (fast for them) and all items were NOT fully cooked. Rings were cold and soggy, sticks were cold and cheese wasn't melted at all, and mac bites were mushy and fell apart even picking them up. I guess it came out so fast because they had these sitting there for hours and took these scraps and threw them together for my meal. Only logical explanation considering how cold and soggy they were and how little there was. I'll make the drive to go to South Riding or the sheetz off 28 next time.

Don't go if you don't plan on waiting half an hour...
Brian S.

This has to be the worst store. My husband and I have given it so many chances because we were just so excited when it was being built. They are incredibly slow, sometimes even 20 minutes for a single breakfast sandwich without a wait line. The bathrooms are dirty and no toilet tissue three times. I keep saying I won't go back but I keep going back because of the location. Today was the last. Stay away from this Sheetz... Unless you plan on dining in.

Tasted like cough syrup in the beginning but as it mixed with the grape slushie that I also poured in there, it got better.

BUYER BEWARE!! Mysteriously, my updated review disappeared along w/my original review & now my…read morereview is "not recommended." Note: Owner's comment wrongly accuses this user as the cops weren't called during my visit. I just left absolutely disgusted. BLUF: You know when something is so good & you're waiting for the bottom to fall out? Unfortunately, for this place moment arrived. Food: gross & nowhere near the quality that was once enjoyed. No more hot, crispy, tasty chicken sandwiches, chicken strips, wraps, or even fries. Lobster rolls? Forget them. Most expensive sandwich you'll ever pay for only to wind up regretfully unsatisfied. In 2022 the food actually seemed like fresh-cooked home recipe chicken. Now, it seems like the food is no better than mass produced previously frozen fried stuff that you get at a nearby cheap chicken chain restaurant or local gas station. The joint is a no frills aged, rather dingy chicken stand/ice cream shop. Cookies & Cream: Some ice cream flavors are tasty but not the whole selection. Freezer on fritz? Sometimes flavors are gritty (melted and refrozen?), other times chewy or gummy (old?), & other times really soft or soupy. Maybe a small upcharge for a sugar cone may be ok, but charging extra for a regular cake cone? RUINS the epitome of a traditional ice cream experience. Too much competition in the area for an easy, tasty, scoop of ice cream! Nickel & diming customers gets old fast. Did they gain recognition for their wings at the expense of everything else? Worth the drive? NOT any more. General good practice: If you're having a bad day at work, it's usually a good idea NOT to take it out on your co-workers & customers. Another one bites the dust. This "flagship" location has fallen from grace in just about every important aspect necessary to small biz survival. Very disappointing discovery. These chicken sandwiches were once dream-worthy a few years ago when they first opened. But, now, it left me feeling queasy & the sandwiches looked horrible. Mine was a gloppy, greasy, soggy mound. Barely breaded/coated chicken on a greasy bun. I could see the meat through the carelessly floured or maybe cornmealed breading. The former thick coating of crispy, crunchy crust was completely absent as if they didn't even remember to dip it in batter. A complete opposite of what their sandwiches used to look & taste like. There was an overwhelming amount of mayo (picture a very thick paste-like layer) & a sparse runny tablespoon of slaw for which you pay an extra $1.50. A slab of rubber chicken between oily, soggy bread. The rest of the chicken we received looked like it was fried in old grease for way too long. Dry, dark brown bits. Soggy, chewy fries all stuck together in a compressed mass. Soaked up way too much oil. Kitchen staff unabashedly unwilling to be helpful & unnecessarily & rudely reactive in response to requests to remedy minor errors in the order. What we received from the kitchen should never have come out of the kitchen, including the kitchen staff, ready to throw punches. The cashier was the only positive to the visit. This place is still plagued with production, operational, customer service issues & it affects consistently producing high-quality food & service when the business is slightly off balance from mildly elevated degrees of stress. Be warned--these issues seem to run deep & will yield hit or miss results in both food & service on any given day. Every day carries some risk of increased stress but busier days carry the most, of course. A well-oiled business will consistenly & professionally manage this risk & the fallout when it occurs & will continuously right itself through contant planning for inevitable mishaps & executing best practices & industry gold-standard improvements. Maybe they've bitten off more than they can chew with a second location opening soon per reports & posts. In Manassas, plenty of other great places do fried foods extremely well. No more drooling over their food. We're left nauseated by the overly greasy food and with an experience tainted by shockingly horrible service & inconsistent food quality. To experience the decline of both food & service in a place that used to bring joy is a huge letdown. I cannot with good conscience recommend this place any more. This restaurant is no longer a good "complete package" value. Much competition exists & will exist in the area of the flagship & new location. Have already experienced a few of their "off days" over the past few years. BUT if you decide to try them because you believe this review is still an outlier, or you keep going there as a loyal customer, I hope you're lucky enough to catch them on a good day so that you get better food, better service, and better reception as a guest. This restaurant (and its "concept") is no longer one of our top 5 must-haves and has been decisively and permanently removed from our rotation.

I'm talking 45 minutes for 6 burgers, fries and shakes. My expectation was pretty low at that point. My husband took a bite and I knew it was good. He's a chef and is pretty picky about his food. The burgers were perfectly cooked. They were seared beautifully and still moist in the center. Flavor was 10 out of 10. How was the food still warm? No clue, but whatever they did it definitely worked! Seriously, try the burgers! Pros - burgers are amazing. My son even likes the chicken. Cons - honestly the fries are not worth the price. For a place called shake shack, I didn't find the shakes that impressive. Pro tip - order online prior to arrival. You walk in and the bag of food is ready for you. Skip the folks trying to punch their order in on the kiosk!

The restaurant chain was established by the sons of a World War II veteran, Frederick Simon. The walls in the restaurant, including in the restrooms, are covered with photos of the guy, many of them detailing Freddy's accomplishments. In summary, I would definitely come back, largely by dint of the expansive menu. Service has its quirks and can be uneven because of the youth and inexperience of the staff. You pick up your hot food from a different counter than the one for desserts. In an unusual twist for a fast food establishment, they have a staffer come around periodically to customers at the tables to see if they need anything, even if that is nothing more than straws or napkins. Restaurant cleanliness was decent. Now on to the food... As an introduction to Freddy's I ordered the Freddie's Original Double Burger. You can customize them because I ordered mine sans pickles. The default Original Burger comes with 2 patties, cheese, a couple strands of onion and a whole bunch of yellow mustard. They have a catsup dispenser by the soft drinks, so I added catsup to mine. Mayo would have been good too. I would say this was an excellent burger. The tasty meat was kind of like a smash burger, flat and wide. The bun was sturdy. I then had a very good Signature Turtle sundae, a confection with frozen custard, chocolate and caramel sauces, pecans, adorned with whipped cream and a cherry. When all is said and done, I think I prefer frozen custard over ice cream.

To my dismay, although only 3 cars ahead of me but the waiting felt like eternity-sooooo slow. When I finally got to the part where you pay & pickup food, the manager told me they were extremely busy and apologized. Problem was also the intercom was very low I'd had to repeat my orders a few times. In hindsight, I should have driven directly and skip the ordering area and just give my order in the pickup area, since I again waited. Verdict on food taste still to come, will update later. But I heard good things, so... I have yet to taste the burger I ordered for me, waiting on hubby to come home, so I hope it was worth the wait. There are no Sonic place near me and this was closest or the one apparently now in Leesburg... Ok ate the dbl cheeseburger with fries & lemonade, it was not bad. Taste wise was simple and no complexity there but still not unlikeable so I'd give it 3.5! Hubby, whose opinion I value, absolutely love Sonic burger which then tipped it over to 4 stars for me! He told me reason for the wait was that Sonic cook to order and better eat it while fresh. But even letting it sit for 15 min still slightly warm, was not bad. God knows i'm trying so hard to like it for my darling husband, and yes, extra star courtesy by him, so there!!!

Then I noticed a red tray on the counter - with something bright yellow partially sticking out from beneath the tray. I moved the tray and found a yellow bell with a sign to ring it. So I did. Someone came out in a couple of minutes. I ordered a 6 inch Chili/Cheese Dog - and a bottle of water. Except - they are out of bottled water. So I went with just the Chili Dog. I went to pay with Apple Pay and was told we don't accept Apple Pay - you have to use the Sonic App. They must be one of the few business in Northern Virginia that does not accept contactless payments. They make you do it in their own app. So I paid cash. The cashier had to go in the back to make change. While I was waiting - I walked around the near vacant dining area. There was one person in the dining area. While waiting, I noted a large flat panel screen HDTV mounted on the all - but not on - with a dangling cable not plugged in to anything. Everything is dirty and needs a deep cleaning. Looking up to the ceiling - the HVAC vents are disgusting and need to be cleaned. A few minutes later - my order was ready. I decided to eat in as I did not want to spill chili on myself in the car. I shouldn't have worried about that though - when I opened my order - the amount of chili and cheese on the Dog - was the smallest quantity I have ever seen. It looked as if they had taken a butter knife and scraped the smallest amount possible of chili and drizzled the least amount of cheese across the Hot Dog. Disappointed - and I will never return. #Sonic
