This particular location is at an intersection that kind of has all the major roads in the area meeting in one spot. So if you took 51, 119, 40 or the toll road into the Uniontown area, you'd eventually end up at this spot. My early morning stop here while I was on my way out of the state was quite quick. I walked in, use the restroom, got my stuff, checked out and was on my way. Couldn't ask for more. This place is definitely worth a stop when you are driving through the area, especially if you have that MTO craving, you don't even need to get out of your car anymore.

While on Route 30 there is not much choice of where to go, so when you come upon a gas station while you're nearing empty, you take the chance and stop. This Sunoco was a really welcomed sight along this stretch of road. Not much else is around and because of that it seems to be a very busy place among the locals. Gas prices were the norm for Pennsylvania. Inside they have all that you would expect from a convenience store and then some. That was welcomed to us since we wanted something to munch on for the rest of our trek towards Gettysburg. Staff were pleasant inside and accommodating.

So today, there are trucks in two lines, all the way to the entrance at the road waiting for fuel. When I go in to ask a about it, the sorry excuse for a cashier immediately gets an attitude telling me they updated their systems so the card swipes at the pump don't work anymore. I asked if this was overnight as I have my had this issue anywhere else. She snapped some more attitude. I told her she didn't have to have one. I'm done with this location and am going to be pushing my boss to open a fleet card at more trucker friendly establishments. This is ridiculous.

For me, this was to be a quick stop to use the facilities, pick up an item or two and after looking around, head to the other location in the area. Not sure what goes on here, but if you want to avoid being around people, go to the other location. There is a constant stream in and out here making for browsing almost a chore. Big difference here is that you can purchase beer and wine. Not all Sheetz have converted as of yet. That may be why this location is busier than usual. Definitely will not go out of my way to visit this location again unless I am in the area for a reason.

The store itself has some basics, but not as much as what you would find at a GetGo, WaWa, or Sheetz. What the store does have is a huge dairy section with their own name on the products. Two huge freezers with what looked like half quarts of ice cream of every flavor you can imagine. And about three other dairy cases. Didn't explore much the other dairy cases. The customer service was exceptional, small town, makes me wish they knew my name because I was a regular-type of a feel, but I was just passing through. On a whim I decided to get a scoop of ice cream. Trying to be modest I asked for the smallest scoop they had and even then the scoop was huge. Thank you, BTW. I had no idea that I would want to eat every bit of that "small" ice cream scoop, and then as I'm driving away try to create schemes in my mind for how I can come back another time to get more. The only plan I could come up with is a cooler with dry ice, as I live a state away, but even that could get pricey. The ice cream itself was toothsome, almost buttery and very sweet, as expected. The flavor and the ice crystal consistency reminded me of the ice cream my family used to make in those wooden electric churn type of machines but oh-so-much better.
